I come here a lot with my boyfriend and we always enjoy the food and service. The people who work there are very friendly and welcoming. The pho is delicious, and not over the top with too much cilantro or other spices. We've also had the spring rolls, broken rice, and vermicelli bowls, and nothing has ever disappointed. Location: We were on our way to Pho & Beyond, but found out it was closed til July 11th, so we turned around back home and found that there was a place less than 10 minutes away compared to the 20+ it takes to get to Pho & Beyond. It's off of Cottman, which is pretty busy, but once you turn into the street, parking is plentiful, and it's not busy at all. Service: Service was great. Very attentive and friendly. They wanted everything to be just right for the customer, so they are very accommodating. You want something added or left out. It's no problem. My vegetarian friend was told that its usually chicken broth, but for strict vegetarians, they could make a completely vegetarian broth. Main Dish: Pho isn't a fine dining item, so I can't really be too picky. Mostly for me, it's the value, the quality of the broth, and freshness of the ingredients. Ingredients were very fresh. Bean sprouts were fresh and clean, and the other vegetables as well. Broth was nicely flavored even before I had to add the sriracha and hoisin sauce. I got the large pho dac biet, and there was SO much noodles and meat. The summer roll was very good as well. Drinks: Another plus is that they have thai ice tea and smoothies, which they make fresh from the actual fruits, not from powder or flavoring except for two or three flavors like taro. I don't know about the thai iced tea. It was good, but I never asked if it was made fresh or if its pre-made. I got the avocado smoothie with tapioca balls and many times in other restaurants, the avocado smoothie is too sweet because they add too much condensed milk, but this one was lightly sweetened with a largely fresh avocado flavor. Probably used two or three avocados to make that, so while its not a health food, I'm still getting the benefits of eating avocados. My friend got the veggie pho and it was piled high with all sorts of vegetables If pho isn't your thing, they have a huge menu with your classic vietnamese dishes like bun (vermicelli noodles), rice dishes, and etc. Definitely will return for the pho and maybe to try the other dishes. read more

So I waited after a couple of orders before reviewing this place that was recommended by my neighbor. Maybe it is my fault because he explicitly said they do better if you pick up...not so well with delivery. Well I took that as an indication that delivery is a long wait. Boy was I wrong! I picked up my first order last week: veg rice noodle soup with extra tofu. This was awesome. They bagged really fresh vegetables in separate bags, hot sauce, bean sprouts. I wish I took a pic Fast forward to today's same order and delivery. They dumped the veggies which I were wilted in the same container as the rice noodles...no bean sprouts, no hot sauce...it was crap. So if you order, pick up...they seem to cheat you if they have to deliver. read more

Decent. Their pho is pretty good. I particularly like their broth. A bummer is that there was a lack of jalapenos which I really do enjoy in my pho for that extra heat. Having just sriracha just doesn't give it to you. I'm taking off a star because of their appetizers. Their spring rolls are lackluster and the summer rolls are just terrible. The summer rolls only had lettuce, shredded pork and noodle. No shrimp or even Vietnamese basil! I can understand not giving shrimp but the basil ! The shredded pork inside was so dry and there was not enough peanut sauce for two rolls. Heck, from the dryness of the shredded pork, there is not enough sauce for half a roll. Love this place! Very close to home, and the pho is delicious. The servings are very generous (and inexpensive); I love that I always have some left over to take home for later! The service here is excellent, I just love the friendly treatment. This place is horrible. The food is gross. Came here for lunch yesterday for my fiancés bday. I ordered chicken pad thai and fried rice. I'm still sick. The food was tasteless and grey. I should have know not to eat it by the way it looked. It was disgusting. My Lady did not touch her plate. She took One bite and did not touch it. I unfortunately at the plate of rice and a few bites of the pad thai. The waiter was shocked when we asked for the bill with two full plates of food. They didn't take anything of the bill or offer anything else instead. Still charged us. 10 minutes after leaving i felt sick in my stomach. I took my lady to chick fil a cause she was obviously still hungry. I took my fiancé to a restaurant downtown called R2L later that evening. This place is pretty okay and feels like a typical family-run business that tries their best for the business. The broth of the pho is flavorful and not too salty that is usually the fault of a pho place. The portion is decently large, and the pho comes super quickly as pho should. My husband and I LOVED this place. Not only is the service great, she was very thorough making sure no one was allergic to certain ingredients. The food was fabulous, the prices are very decent. We literally want to eat there every day! I had the wonton soup, probably the best I had in ages. Also had the lemongrass shrimp with broken rice, and a couple of summer rolls. Everything was amazing-- AND FRESH. My husband had summer rolls, and grilled shrimp with rice noodles. He loved all of it. We highly recommend this place! Pho Le Lai is a very standard Vietnamese restaurant. The staff are friendly and attentive. The main waitress there checks on my table frequently during and after my meal, which is rare at pho restaurants. I always order the Pho Dac Biet, which has a little bit of everything. I recommend ordering a small bowl of soup on the side because they give you too much pho noodles that doesn't balance out with the amount of soup you get. Their pork-chop rice dishes are pretty tasty and standard. Their portions are a little hefty, so you get more than what you pay for. The restaurant is located conveniently in a supermarket, so you can shop for groceries or even purchase some snacks for the road after your meal. Conveniently decent in my book. read more

I would say this is one of the better Vietnamese restaurants in the area (over Pho & Beyond, Pho Viet, Pho75, etc) due to it being the most consistent in terms of food quality and service. Spring rolls are my FAVORITE here! Theyre small but delicious and have taro in it (although not unique to this restaurant, others in the area dont add taro). Their drinks are also made fresh; the avocado smoothie was 100% fresh with absolutely no powder flavoring). Their Pho is good but doesnt really stands out from the others. Their vermicelli i think is one of their better dishes as everything comes out in great meat/vermicelli proportions. Egg noodle soups wasnt my favorite there - although that may be because i prefer Chinese over Vietnamese wonton noodle soups. Staff/management is super friendly and attentive.
