When I write a complaint like this, I try my best to give myself enough time to make sure I am not writing simply out of anger. This incident happened on July 11, and I have waited more than a month and a half before writing this review. I wanted to give myself enough time to reflect on what happened and decide whether it was something I could simply let go. Even after that time, I still believe this experience deserves to be addressed. My wife and I have been loyal customers of this restaurant for a long time. We live nearby, and this has always been one of our favorite places for pho. That is exactly why that day's experience was so disappointing. We ordered one large and one small brisket pho. Every previous time we've ordered brisket pho here, it came with a good balance of lean brisket and some fat, which is what we expected. However, both bowls contained almost nothing but fatty pieces with very little actual lean brisket. I politely asked if it could be replaced with lean brisket. The server who was originally helping us was kind and willing to take care of it. Unfortunately, another young employee stepped in, and that's when the experience completely changed. Instead of offering a simple apology or acknowledging my concern, he immediately started lecturing me about brisket, as if I didn't know what brisket was. At no point did he say, "I'm sorry," or attempt to understand why I was dissatisfied. I live in Texas, and I know exactly what brisket is, including that it contains both lean and fatty portions. My concern was never about not understanding brisket--it was about the quality and consistency of what your restaurant has always served us. Rather than listening to a loyal customer, he chose to argue and explain something I never questioned. He then insisted that what I actually wanted was flank meat. When I told him to show me, he brought out flank and acted as though that solved the issue. It completely missed the point. I wasn't asking for a different cut of beef--I was simply asking for the lean portion of the brisket that we have consistently received at your restaurant in the past. What made the situation even worse was his attitude. Throughout the conversation, he repeatedly rolled his eyes, looked up in frustration, and kept saying, "Oh my, oh my," making me feel like I was the problem for asking a simple and respectful question. It was dismissive, unprofessional, and honestly one of the rudest customer service experiences I've had in a long time. I asked to speak with the manager, only to be told there wasn't one available. That was disappointing because situations like this require leadership and proper customer service. To be clear, I'm not writing this review because of a bowl of pho. Food can be corrected. I'm writing this because of how I was treated. As a loyal customer who has supported this restaurant for years, I expected to be treated with respect, not talked down to or made to feel unreasonable for asking a simple question. I sincerely hope the owner reads this review and takes it seriously. One disrespectful interaction like this is enough to drive away loyal customers. Proper customer service training--especially on how to respectfully handle customer concerns--would go a long way. read more

Came here last night with some family for some pho and was pleased to say the least. There wasn't very many people there on a Wednesday night and the interior was very cozy. I've actually never had pho before so choosing something was hard but i ended up getting a flank and eye round pho. We also got the pork egg roll which was fresh out the fryer and a shrimp spring roll; the peanut sauce that came with the spring roll was very tasty as well. My pho was very delicious and had a good meaty taste to it, but the beef in it was kind of tough. My aunt got the brisket pho, and the meat was much better than mine so i'd get that next time. The vermicelli also had a nice chewy texture to it!! We also got some beef stew with a loaf of bread (not pictured) but it pretty delicious as well; the bread isn't anything special but it was toasted at least lol. The staff here were also very attentive and were always asking us if we needed anything, so A+. Overall, great spot to try some pho in denton area! read more

So this is my 1st time ordering here (to go). Thought I'd support my local eating establishment. I ordered the beef noodle size large (build your own bowl) with 3 choices of meats 1) beef of eye round 2) beef meatball 3) beef meatball again. What a HUGE disappointment when I got home. I literally got 3 meat balls (not necessarily in "ball" format). If you put the pieces of the meat balls together, it would equal to 3/4 of a meat ball, and 7 slices of beef eye round. The broth was flavorless like watered down broth with a hint of pho somewhere. I called the restaurant immediately and described what I received regarding the meat "ball". I was transferred to whom I'm assuming was the owner. He told me that the meat "ball" was based on weight. That's the first I've ever heard that any restaurants weighing their meat "balls". I told him the 3 pieces of meat "ball" I received didn't equal to ONE meat ball. And then there's the "large" portion, I hate to see the small portion. I also told him that I'm Vietnamese and this was a huge disappointment. He told me to come back and he would correct it. Our normal place was closed so we decided to pop in for some of the healing magic in pho. We started with A2 fresh spring rolls with shrimp. My hubby got a fountain root beer and I got a to-go cup of their mango green tea. I ordered the M1 Shrimp noodles and my hubby ordered the P3 white and dark chicken with rice noodles. The drinks and spring rolls came out fast! I liked the spring rolls dipped in both the peanut sauce and their spicy chili oil. My hubby used sriracha and soy. I loved the simplicity of them: lettuce, rice vermicelli and steamed shrimp. I'd never had the mango green tea before. It was iced with a cute, happy faced seal on top and you puncture the straw through the top! I love taking a drink with me to the grocery store so I liked the sealed top for sure. My hubby's chicken pho was good. It had a LOT of noodles though and he prefers more broth. I'd likely scale the noodles to half a serving to enjoy the broth. My shrimp soup had thin egg noodles which I am a fan of! They're slightly chewier and the broth was very, very good. Lots of anise, thinly sliced white onion, cilantro and green onion. The shrimp were very plain so I dipped those in the chili oil too for some added flavor. It was too much for either of us to finish. I love the broth here and the flavored green teas. Their parent restaurant is in Plano - another hub for quality, authentic food. The restaurant is nice, clean and the condiment containers are not sticky. I'm looking forward to trying their grilled pork with egg roll vermicelli or the fried rice with grilled pork. There's something about the flavor of the Vietnamese grilled pork that you don't get in any other cuisine. So, if you're in this area, this is a solid choice. Oh NO. Oh NO NO NO NO NO. I found hair on my plate of garnishes. I was slurping the noodles and enjoying my soup. Then I saw something stringy and black. I looked closely and it was a HAIR. Ruined my appetite that I couldn't even finish my bowl of pho that I was craving for. Pho Luv was my go to because it was near my house and thought it was good. This restaurant is near the Walmart in Hickory Creek. You need to keep an eye out for it as it's not obvious. I had lunch there. The was clean and fresh with simple decor. I order a chicken sandwich, which came a la carte. It had a really nice flavor, the bread was good, and vegetables in it were fresh, which included cilantro and hot peppers. Caution on the peppers!! I hit a big chunk and lit me up and I like hot food. I will return to try other items on their menu. If you're looking for something a little different, you may want to give it a try, too. read more

I know I'm a white guy so my opinions on Vietnamese food don't matter...BUT I've been eating Pho for 20+ years and I specifically get egg rolls and pho ga (chicken pho) every single time. That's all I know about vietnamese food. This place was delicious. The egg rolls were up there with some of the best I've had. Fresh and hot out of the fryer. Good fish sauce served with it. The lettuce and carrots/daikon were fresh and went well with the egg roll. Just a very delicious authentic vietnamese egg roll. The pho had a great broth. I destroy my broth by turning it red with sriracha and red pepper sauce because I love spice, but before I add that and the lemons and basil I always take a taste of the broth to see if they know what they're doing. This review is regarding food only in delivery as we used Door Dash so did not see the physical restaurant. With the freeze going on outside we decided to order pho. Long story short, the prices decent, but the overall food for the most part short of great expectations. We ordered the Pho special, white chicken meat pho, shrimp spring rolls, chicken wings. I typically like to check off a couple boxes when it comes to pho: 1. The soul quenching flavor of the broth: the broth here was ok, nothing fabulous. Definitely good enough to eat but just not soulful. 2. The meat: appeared to be brisket, but cuts were way too thick and super tough. The white meat chicken was fine, but my wife said a little tough. So the prices were about $9 for each bowl. Not terribly priced. The chicken wings were actually surprisingly good. A very good Asian type sauce coated them, but they were very crispy (perhaps twice fried?) but the chickens left me wanting more. $6.75 for about 6 of them. Fair price. Spring rolls about $4 which is pretty standard. They were ok. Peanut sauce was not as flavorful as others I've had but also wasn't bad. One thing I will say that I appreciated is that this restaurant actually puts the noodles, meat, etc into a plastic bowl that was very easy to fill with the broth and eat. Pretty much only had to make one spoon dirty to eat it. Probably wouldn't order again as there are just better places for Pho around the area, but if you're in a pinch this place won't knock your socks off, but it will at least get you through to the next meal. read more

An absolute hidden gem. This Vietnamese restaurant offers a fantastic take on traditional Pho and other Vietnamese dishes. My go to is the grilled chicken, fried egg with rice. Simple and delicious. When it is cold out I will go for the brisket pho which is delicious. Along with the food Pho Luv also offers fantastic Boba tea drinks which you should definitely give a try if you haven't before. I'm SO excited to find a great pho restaurant in the Lake Dallas and Hickory Creek area super accessible to the freeway and near Albertsons grocery store. I was going to the Chase bank earlier today and discovered this gem next door. The prices are so refreshing, reasonable!! (I had been driving to Plano everyday to go to Pho Mac but stopped going to that other pho place because they charged me for onions without letting me know ahead of time). So when I found Pho Luv, this place, and asked them for extra onions, they generously gave me a huge portion of onions, jalepenos, and limes and asked me if I was enjoying the meal. Top notch, tasty, very flavorful, lots of helpings of everything, and they also have boba teas!!!!! I'm so happy that I ate here and will def bring the whole fam. I got a large bowl of pho with egg noodles instead of rice noodles and it was epic. The water was ice cold and refreshing. The server was really friendly and keeps tabs on how I was doing even though they were really busy!!
