Pretty good. Staff is friendly, I appreciate that my drink was always . Loved that they have a vegetarian menu! We ordered pan fried vegetarian noodles. Holy YUM. I loved the broccoli, tofu and vegetarian meat. I would order this every day of the week. Next up were the spring roles. They added something that made of crunchy- I'm not sure if it was a wonton? Maybe? But I loved it! The vegan pho wasn't my favorite- the broth almost tasted sour? I dunno- maybe I was just too full by the time I got around to eating it. My boyfriend is blind and we came here with a service dog and they refused to let us eat here. This is a first considering we eat at 5 star restaurants all the time. She said a customer complained but, the dog is a small service animal we have never had any issues with. I will be filing a law suit. This is ridiculous. read more

I ordered takeout today due to the pandemic and I wanted to support my favorite pho place but after today it's changed my mind about it. I ordered my food over the phone ahead of time and while they picked up the phone it seem they didn't care much about answering the phone with any professionalism while they're was multiple conversations going on in the background. I arrived within 20 minutes like they stated over the phone and I end up waiting 15 minutes more. Also, the owner wanted to charge me extra for sauce due to the covid19 pandemic. For San Bernardino area, I would say this place is tasty for Vietnamese Pho. Not too many Viet Restaurant in SB. Friday- Saturday night are always crowded. Service is attentive, helpful, english speaking server, knowledgeable and friendly. Price is moderate, is a lot more expensive than the OC and LA one but you don't have to spend gas cause its local. Food come timely, even when they are busy which is a plus. Parking is not a problem most of the time. The only downside, that they like to mob the floor with this strong lysol or some kind of cleaning solution that really bothers me when I am still eating. Reminds me of Restroom after they mob the floor. I think the intention is good to keep the greasy floor clean. read more

I like this place, I like the food, I like the drinks, and I like the space. What I don't like? The SERVICE. It' a hit or miss, more so a miss most of the time. The staff (most of them at least) seem like they really enjoy working here....NOT. They're not friendly, they're always in a rush or not in a rush to take your order. They hardly smile nor interact with you. Every time my husband and I come, we get seated with the menu and they leave us alone for a good 5-10min then they'll be back expecting for us to order. I've also ordered a dish and exchanged a side dish with something else that was a bit more expensive and willing to pay for. The next time I went, ordered the same dish and said add on however our waitress this time said I couldn't do the add on...it felt more like she didn't want to deal with the hassle. Food is great! It's pretty authentic and tasty. It's what's keep us coming back as it should be. From the pho to the Hu Tieu to the spring rolls, I haven't had anything I didn't like. It's clean and spacious inside, we hardly have to wait when we come. Parking isn't big, so come peak hours time you may have to park a further ways. Hands down the best Pho in the area! Their rice dishes are also equally as good! I've been on the hunt for the best pho and Pho Mai hits home. I don't know what they put in their broth but it's magic. It's rich and full of flavor even after reheating the broth the next day. I also always get their chicken egg rolls! They have a great selection of dishes and the prices are pretty nice. $8 for a bowl of vegan pho--what more can you ask for? Lately my mother has been on a Pho craze, so we have came to Pho Mai twice a month! I really love their Shrimp and Pork Spring Rolls, they are very fresh and have a great peanut sauce to go with it. They have a great variety of soups and a large variety of boba drinks. It's something worth trying if you have never had Vietnamese food.

My family has gone to this location on and off for probably over 10 years. The previous owners sold to a new person probably about 2 years ago and it was completely remodeled. It looks so fresh and clean on the inside. Very good attention to detail and you can tell they put a lot of money and effort into making the place nice. Super clean and organized. The quality of the food is still very good. I got a com ga nuong, which is white rice with grilled chicken. If you need to order in Vietnamese though, you just have to request it cause not all of the workers speak Vietnamese. Still, they were very nice about it when I asked. First time here and last time too. This place is not worth it. The service was bad, and the food took a long time to come. The grilled pork was undercooked and when I showed them the parts that were raw, she argued that it's because of the sauce that's why the color looked different. She said she will take the two pieces of port back. Seriously? And when we asked for the check they said they are too busy to bring the check to us, and it's faster if we go to the counter to pay. Why on earth did I not come here earlier?!!? So after a night of drinking, my boyfriend and his friends have this tradition of going to get pho but I guess I was never invited before :P.... Last week I got a chance to go with them and I was totally missing out! I didn't even know a place like this was there. Pho Mai is good. I had Pho with the beef strips and that was pretty yummy. The BF and I also shared this beef + rice dish and that was pretty good. I'd definitely go back and try more of their food. The place is clean and the food comes out pretty fast. The only thing I didn't like was the ATM machine they have there to pay. I have NEVER seen one like that. You have to press so many buttons and you end up having to punch in the amount they tell you (based on your bill). My boyfriend tried two times (with the help of me and 2 other friends) but we ended up just giving up and paying cash. The lady didn't even really tell us how to use it. They had a sign with directions but it was still way too confusing. Maybe that's the whole point of the odd machine... making you resort to cash. hahahaha... Or they probably got that as a deal from someone they know. It's a crap machine. Just bring cash. Anyway... now I want some pho! I came here on a weekday with a couple friends and the place wasn't too busy which was nice because we always got good service and fast food. The servers are really attentive and friendly. My water cup was never empty. I ordered the vermicelli with grilled pork and egg roll and shrimp. They marinated and cooked the shrimp really well in my opinion. The pork had good flavor but was pretty fatty compared to other places. The egg roll wasn't the traditional Vietnamese egg roll with the crispy flakey exterior. It wasn't bad though but not as traditional as I would like. My friends ordered the pho and I tried the soup base and it was pretty good. It wasnt too overpowering with msg like typically Vietnamese restaurants. I'd probably come here again if I'm craving Vietnamese food because it is one of the better places in the area. read more
