This is my absolute favorite pho restaurant in the area!! I come here about once a week and I especially love the staff here, they're so sweet and nice. The prices are also relatively cheap compared to other pho restaurants nearby so that's a big plus! I get the pho with rare steak and fatty brisket (forgot what it's called in vietnamese) and it's so good. The broth is always delicious and somehow tastes better than the last time. old fashioned restaurant but very good. I am amazed everything is so cheap. You can get small Pho for less than 13.50, Large Pho for 14.95 ? The amazing thing is you can add special Drinks ( Thai Ice tea, Red bean drink, Mix bean drink) for only 2.75 more. Normally the Sweet Mix bean drinks are $ 5 but if you combine it with Pho, the total is only $ 17.75 ( for both Special Drink and Large/Small Pho. So that is good deal. But you cannot get the Smoothie ( avo smooth, or Real Fruit Smoothies are separate, not part of combo). And the Rice Rolls are only $ 4.95 ( shrimp) $ 4.55 (pork). Most appetizer Rice Rolls are over 6 or 10 at other Pho places so 4.95 here is super cheap. You can also get Fried Spring Roll for 3.95 for 2 rolls. They give you alot of meat in the Large Pho. They put so much Meat/ Noodle in the bowl, you hardly have Room for the tons of bean sprouts they give you ( they give tons of Basil/Jalapeno). I wish the Bowl for Large pho was bigger ( easier to eat?) because they give you so much it is crowded inside the bowl. But because it is so cheap, you cannot complain. I just wish the Pho was a little hotter, but they do give you a container of hot water. I am slow eater, so I could barely finish my Pho. I really wanted to try the rice rolls ( Shrimp) but my Mom start to eat my appetizer with Peanut sauce. She ate almost the whole appetizer and I got the last bite. I gave her my Pho, she did not eat it because it was so full of ingredients ( which got cold) and she had breakfast so she was not too hungry. She wanted to eat my Mix Bean Drink with Coconut cream so I gave her half. i recommend that you bring cash. They accept Credit but you pay 3.99 percent. So my Dads bill was over $45 dollar so he only had to pay $ 2 on credit card. I do recommend you bring cash and not do the credit card ( so you save $ 2 dollars on say a 50 dollar bill). And so you can tip them more if you save the 2 dollars. i was embarrassed because Dad only tip them 10 percent. I was mad at my Dad for tip only 10 percent, since he normally tip 18 percent. Maybe he did not like it he had to pay 2 dollars to use his credit card. I think under 20 you have to pay cash as I read other people review and mention that under $20 you pay cash? This is because Credit card company charges the restaurant for people to use Credit and since they are Old Fashion restaurant and dont charge you much for the food, they cannot afford to pay the 3.99 percent for your credit card. Excellent service and I personally really like the outdated decor inside. I usually get the pho ga even though I'm not a big fan of dark meat in my pho, but the pho tai chin nam is pretty good too. The spring rolls are alright, but a little dry(?) in my opinion even with the peanut sauce. My brother wanted to try this place and this was similar to the Pho Nam that used to be in Milpitas. The parking lot was small, dark, a little sketchy, and it was close to Mercado 20 (right next to the Lawrence Expressway). There was not a lot of people here at 7pm on a Friday. The interior had the same neon light that said Nam that I recognized from the Milpitas location. The menu was pretty much the same with updated prices. There were a lot of pictures so those who can't decide without the pictures would be in luck. I ordered the combo ($11.45) which was any pho and a drink (excluding smoothies). I chose a large Pho Tai and a Thai Iced Tea with pearls. The food came out quickly and the pho broth tasted good to me. It refreshed my memory on the old location so that was good. The meat was fine and the noodles were like any other pho place. The Thai Iced Tea was not that strong in flavor and the pearls were average. I headed to this place on a whim after getting the hankering for something satisfying for a late lunch. When we drove up the parking lot was deserted, as was the restaurant. This didn't seem too unusual since it was the in-between hour. Too early for dinner and way too late for lunch. We headed inside and ordered two traditional bowls of Pho and spring rolls. To drink I ordered a jackfruit smoothie and Maria ordered a fresh squeezed lemonade. The lemonade was tasty, freshly squeezed as advertised and delicious. The jackfruit smoothie seemed like it was made from a powdered mix, which is pretty typical but not as good as fresh fruit, which is plentiful around here. I had boba pearls in my smoothie and they were tender. Some places don't cook them properly. These were tasty, tender and medium sized. The spring rolls were just ok. The peanut sauce was runny and not very flavorful. I added hot chili sauce and it wasn't much better. The Pho was not too bad at all. The broth tasted homemade and the noodles were not too soft. My brisket tasted a bit off but the rest was pretty good. It's not a bad place to have pho but honestly there are much better Pho joints around. That said, there are far more cruddy than better ones. Stumbled upon this place when I was in the area. It's a small dainty place that had plenty of customers on a Sunday afternoon. We got seated immediately. The menu was fairly easy to read. They had a pho+drink deal for around $11-$12. So I got the pho with rare steak and a fresh coconut drink. My bf got the brisket and rare steak pho. We also got a side of spring rolls ($2.50). The pho broth was super plain. It didn't taste like anything. Kind of just tasted like watered down broth. The steak was a bit chewy. And my bf's brisket was 95% fat and 5% meat. It was ridiculous how fatty it was. The spring rolls were alright...just tasted like veggies and noodles. And the coconut drink tasted like sugar and coconut...definitely not fresh because it tasted like it came from a can and all the coconut pieces were cut a perfect square. Really old school, the decor and like everything looks like nothing has been changed but obviously its been cleaned. The service was good but they dont give enough ice when you ask for it in your drink. The pho is good and it comes relatively quick. I like how they keep it like sticking to the basics with the decor and such but the menus and lighting can be improved a bit to lighten the place up. Great pho restaurant tucked away on a side street off of 101 and Lawrence. You might miss it if you weren't looking for it. They set up outdoor seating, and it's always nice to sit down and eat pho noodle soup in house rather than bringing home the tub of soup and noodles. I also like that they offer combo deals, so you can order any drink with your pho for about $12. B. got a small pho - lots of rare beef, I got one slice & it was pretty tender & nice. Soup was fine. Next time I'll get that. Fresh spring rolls w/ peanut sauce on the side. Shrimp was fine, meat looked dry, didn't eat it. Peanut sauce very runny, not that good. I got shrimp & pork vermicelli - it's a cold dish. Only about 3 small shrimps & dried overcooked pork w/ good amount of vermicelli noodles, some bean sprouts & fish sauce on the side. I liked the shrimp & noodles, pork no good. The vermicelli bowls are almost 15 dollars which I didn't think was worth it even after seeing my friend order it. I was seated in a booth when I was informed they need to clean the booth and moved me to another booth on the other end of the restaurant. My former coworker arrived and he ordered Pho and I had Bun since it was a warm day. I wondered if the person that took our order had read my previous review as he emphatically made sure he got the size correct for the Pho! We both had a Cafe Su Da with our meal. We talked for hours and the staff did not mind at all as they were eating their very late lunch when I paid for mine and give them a nice tip.
