The perfect happy hour spot! When in Santa Clara I recommend stopping here for a quick meal or happy hour. Affordable pricing, fresh ingredients, and quick service made this a perfect stop. The staff gave us great recommendations including boba tea flavors and bubble pairings and meal recommendations. I will definitely be back for boba and happy hour treats!

Happy Flower is really really good! Tucked and hidden away but a hidden gem, I order to go and eat in whenever I can.

This place was amazing! Such a huge variety of not only vegan food but fun boba drinks as well. Definitely will be coming back to try more things. We had: * Hot version of ube crema coffee (hot coffee with ube cream on top) -super delicious but the temp differences were a little strange at first. Pretty sweet but very good! * Hot taro milk tea - DELISH no notes * Vegan chicken pho - Loved it! Also had three different textures of soy protein so I loved the variety. * Vegan Tom Kha - I'm not a huge fan of Tom Kha to begin with but it was really nice having a vegan version to try. All in all pretty tasty and they have really cute decor like this fun flower wall that really added to the ambiance. Can't wait to come back again!

Wanted to love this place, and the portions were big but unfortunately the flavors were just not there for me. The spring rolls were good, and the papaya salad was decent although very sweet and the vermicelli bowl was mostly noodles and barely any protein. Not bad for a vegan spot, but didn't quite hit the craving for viet food.

It's probably a good thing this place isn't close to my house because I'd be here all the time! They had updated some of their wall decorations to incorporate a mural of cherry blossoms & fake blooms which is super cute! I feel happy just walking into this restaurant! The service has remained consistent. Quick, friendly and the food prepared to perfection. I've ordered either the All Seasons Sampler (of rolls) or the Autumn Rolls, depending on the number of people in my party. Also always a hit is the Crispy Tofu. It's lightly fried, super crispy and never heavy or greasy feeling. My non-vegan friend ordered the chow mein and was blown away by the freshness of the veggies and the aromatic shitake mushrooms used. The noodles were lightly fried to a crisp and not super greasy. Not sure how they fry their foods and not have them turn out heavy and oily but this place does it right! Today, I went with the combo vermicelli bowl. This can be found at most pho and Vietnamese restauratns but what I particularly love about how Happy Flower creates theirs is that it includes shaved taro and fried shallots. It makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE in the overall flavor. Be sure to ask for their off-menu beverages. It's not always posted but Happy Flower offers an Ube Crema coffee which is AMAZING! If you love ube and coffee, this is its lovechild. You will be very happy you ordrered this! Best of all, for those who are lactose intolerant (like my non-vegan friend), this was a sweet treat with no consequences, so that was much appreciated. Another tip: Buy 3 specialty drinks and get one free so come with friends!

In Milpitas this time and continue trying out Vegetarian Vietnamese foods. I was attracted by the Sampler rolls. It was good but just nothing stands out in flavors wise. The food came out fast and look pretty. My main courses are pretty to look but also lacking in flavors. Maybe it's just this month I had too my Vegan food to compare, so maybe I will give it another try when I'm in the Sunnyvale area.

Dropped by Happy Flower Eatery & Boba for lunch today. It's kind of hidden at the end of El Camino, and since there's not much else in the plaza, parking is plentiful. I decided to sit outside, so I can't say much about the interior, but the staff were super friendly. We ordered a ton of food and every single bite was amazing! For our appetizers, we went with Vegan Squid and Papaya Salad. The vegan squid really reminded me of fried calamari rings; it's probably the best plant-based calamari I've ever had! It's got that perfect crispy outside, soft inside, and tastes great. While I really enjoyed the squid, the Papaya Salad was definitely my favorite starter. The vegan lemongrass beef they added is super tasty! It's packed with flavor, the veggies are nice and crisp, and the sauce is so refreshing. For our main dishes, we chose Garlic Fried Rice, Soft Chow Mein, and Garlic Chicken. As expected, everything was delicious and packed with flavor. The garlic taste in the rice and chicken was top notch! I would totally order them again. The Soft Chow Mein was more brothy than I expected but it tasted really good. The only note I have is the tofu in it could've been more flavorful, it wasn't bad but everything else packed such a punch it stood out to me. We also tried the Ube Cream Coffee and Fun in the Sun drinks. The ube cream was yummy, but I'm not a coffee person so I only had a sip. The Fun in the Sun drink was just right, incredibly refreshing, the passion fruit and strawberry were on point creating a perfect mix of tart and sweet. I'm not a fan of overly sweet drinks so it definitely hit, especially on a hot summer day. I usually go to Green Lotus, but I might've been converted to a Happy Flower girlie today. I'll definitely be back to try more things. Note: I have the gene that makes cilantro taste like soap, so I ordered everything without cilantro.

My friend and I were looking for something light to have for dinner before getting dessert. Since it was so hot out, we wanted something that was cool to eat. After looking around Yelp, we decided to try this place out as they had some spring rolls that looked good. When we got here, it was relatively empty, but filled out quickly after we sat down. We ended up ordering the rolls sampler with a ton of different rolls. Each of the rolls was good and we enjoyed the whole plate. Service was good and everyone was friendly. Our waters were filled when needed. We both said we would be back for the rolls again. As this restaurant is vegan/vegetarian, it would be a nice change of pace from our regular spots. 1 star off is for the plastic wrap around the rolls - while I understand it's to keep them fresh until eaten, it would be better to remove before serving to prevent accidental ingestion of the plastic and would just look better. Adults should be fine, but little ones may not pay close attention to what they grab and eat.

We ordered the family hot pot and initially received an individual portion by mistake. After notifying DoorDash, the restaurant owner personally called me to apologize and immediately sent out the correct family-sized order. That level of care and accountability truly stood out and meant a lot to us. This is exactly why we continue to support this restaurant. We've been ordering from them for quite some time and were regulars back when they were still operating under their previous name. The food has always been consistently delicious, comforting, and high quality, and the service, both in person and through delivery, has been nothing short of excellent. Mistakes happen, but how a business handles them makes all the difference. Their responsiveness, sincerity, and commitment to making things right reflect how much they value their customers. Highly recommend this spot for both the incredible food and the exceptional customer service. We'll absolutely continue ordering from here and supporting them.

    Beyond Meat String Beans

Happy Flower Eatery is one of the best spots in the South Bay for vegan Southeast Asian food. I've tried many spots in my vegan journey and didn't expect to come across a new favorite in the last few months. Our group of four ordered a combination of items from their Sampler Appetizer of rolls, Salted Fish Fried Rice, Mushroom Stew, and Beyond Meat String Beans Stir-Fry. Portions were great for every dish and the flavors were all there. My friends couldn't believe some of the items were plant-based but it goes to show that seasoning and preparation make a difference to any dish. Service was very friendly as well. The manager checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying our food and I appreciated their service. The area itself doesn't have much but well worth it to experience some great Vietnamese and Southeast Asian inspired vegan cuisine.

    All Season Sampler
    Francie M.

Stopped here for linner after a walk in Baylands park nearby. We ordered the all season sampler, because we couldn't decide on one type of role. This came with two each of the spring, summer, autumn, winter rolls as well as four fried egg rolls and three different sauces. Most of the rolls were fine, but my favorite was the autumn (I think! Not labeled) roll which had a strip of bbq tofu or meat substitute which had great flavor. We also ordered the eggplant tofu dish which I always get because I hate cooking eggplant at home. It's very saucy and doesn't come with rice so I'd recommend adding a side order. Logistics: - indoor and outdoor seating (lovely breeze outdoors) - plenty of strip mall parking - all vegan options with no eggs, didn't see dairy - gluten free options available (but can't speak for risk of cross contamination)

Came here on Saturday noon for lunch...located in random lot that can be hard to find...when gps tells u to turn, go ahead and turn, it's there...good place for sit and catch up with friends due to quick friendly service...family owned restaurant...thank you for not rushing customers out, grandpa even said he cleared table for us to have clean surface to sit and talk after our leftovers were packed...majority of dishes tend to be on sweet side...lemongrass beef had great flavor, papaya salad fresh and satisfying crunch...mock duck herbal soup was very good, broth flavored perfectly not too sweet here...Malayan noodles was the only miss, bland with no distinctive Malayan seasoning at all, too wet due to much cabbage...would definitely come back here to try other dishes on the extensive menu..

What a great find! We used to go to a vegan Vietnamese spot in Milpitas a few years back and we thought it was wonderful. So it was a pleasant surprise to find this gem near the same area. We ordered the sampler and the combo vermicelli bowl. I would give this place five stars, but the Sampler was served all wrapped in plastic. The sauces were also in plastic containers, and heated up! It's not like we ordered it to go, so I'm not sure why it was served to us like it was. However, the flavors were great, and everything was fresh and delicious!

I love the Chef who is behind this restaurant and was excited to have watched her in 24 in 24 & Top Chef. I can see why she is a James Beard award winner! I came here recently with three girlfriends, and we shared a variety of dishes, all 5/5! * Avocado Dip + Plantain chips: great combo with plantain chips instead of usual tortilla chips * Wood-fired Eggplant + Carrot hummus, Tzatziki: adored the carrot hummus! * Shrimp Salad - absolutely delicious with crispy shrimp, avocado, quinoa, mandarins in a lime-herb vinaigrette. Outstanding. * Disco Fries: not your average French fries! Loved the pork sausage and pickled red onions, wonderfully tart savory flavor. *Sautéed green beans - next level green beans with a creamy vinaigrette and chopped cashews *Grilled Corn: spiced coconut, cotija and tajin. Delicious! *Red Pepper Bread: melts in your mouth I think we finished everything we couldn't help ourselves. It was so delicious! Really didn't have much room for dessert, but we had to splurge and check it out so we decided to share two plates: *Pandan Flan: I love flan, and this was phenomenal! The pandan caramel paired perfectly with the yogurt crème, and the coconut rice crunch and strawberries added texture. And, the plating was fabulous! *Mango Sticky Rice: the presentation alone was incredible. Best I've ever had. Next level! This is a must! To go along with the incredible food is a beautiful atmosphere that you just want to sit and save her. We had exceptional service as well. I honestly cannot wait to go back. Five stars Chef Stephanie!! I've heard so many good things about the sister restaurant in LA, Girl and the Goat. I will need to go there next time I'm in LA; now that I know what the fuss is all about!

Tonight I was craving a home style chicken and rice dish similar to what my mom makes . Now I know it's not possible to get that from a restaurant, but the closest to that is the Donne biryani preparation that a few places offer in the Bay Area. So I looked up Yelp and found this spot. The fact that it already had 4.9 stars was reassuring but I didn't put too many expectations on it. But what I did was call the place and make sure they'd be open by the time I made that 28 mile drive. I spoke to a person named Sagar who took my order and told me to take my time getting there and drive carefully! Husband and I got there around 9:30pm and it's a cloud kitchen setup with kitchens in the back and a point of sale kiosk and counter at the front. As instructed I called Sagar and he came up to the counter with my food, and also let me know he had added a free dessert since I drove all the way from Hayward . Husband and I got home and immediately dug in and what can I say, the flavors totally took me back to my mom's kitchen. The Donne biryani was bursting with taste, and what made it superb was that the flavors were in balance, with neither the spices nor the aromatics being overpowering in any way. The other dish, the pepper chicken was epic by itself, and should have been enjoyed with a bread of some sort, because the biryani didn't need any accompaniment. As if this meal wasn't divine enough the cherry on top was the pineapple kesari dessert that Sagar kindly added to our takeout bag. Thanks Nalapaka, for a taste of home, away from home !

This location was much more peaceful compared to the Palo Alto location. I stopped by on a Saturday evening, and there were only a couple tables that were occupied. I will say I feel like the portion sizes here are noticeably smaller than those at the Palo Alto location. This might be because all of the orders are packed to-go, so maybe there's less space for food? For instance, the thali from the Palo Alto location includes a side salad, which was not included in my order here. The other sides (pickled salad and daal lentil), along with the entree, were also significantly smaller here. The prices are the same, so I do think the Palo Alto dishes are more worth it.
