    Combination beef pho

We met up with a friend who works in Cupertino for an early dinner at Pho Ha Noi. Even though it was only 5:15 pm, they had a fair number of customers coming and going. The booths in the dining area reminded me of a diner. Nothing fancy, but well-kept by the staff. *** O U R P I C K S *** HA NOI SPECIAL GRILLED PORK VERMICELLI (BUN CHA HA NOI) ~ The meat is quite salty since it was sitting in a sauce, but my friend enjoyed her dish with the noodles and vegetables to balance the flavors. But from the looks of the dish, not much meat on the plate. 3.5/5 GRILLED PORK & PORK EGG ROLL VERMICELLI ~ This is my go-to dish when I'm eating Vietnamese. The pork wasn't really salty or as flavorful as I had expected. Pretty average compared to other eateries with the same dish. I forgot to tell them not to include raw bean sprouts, so when I put the sprouts aside, it filled 1/4 of my bowl. 3.5/5 COMBINATION BEEF PHO ~ My guy ordered this and said the broth was bland compared to other Vietnamese eateries. Not much in the bowl. He went home and made a sandwich. 3/5 HALF HAINANESE CHICKEN AND CHICKEN RICE ~ Our friend ordered this dish; he left more than 1/2 of the chicken on his plate. He said it was dry, and the skin wasn't at all crispy because they didn't blanch it in ice water to give that crispy texture for Hainanese Chicken. The rice wasn't flavorful either. He left dissatisfied and hungry. 2/5 PANDAN WAFFLES ~ comp dessert after our meal. This was lightly sweetened, crispy, and chewy. Actually very good. 4/5 Hit or miss with some of the dishes, though it seemed more misses than hits. I was told the San Jose location is better. But I've tried both and wasn't impressed with either location. The only item we liked was the complimentary dessert!

My friends and I decided to try out Pho Ha Noi for lunch. Our party of 4 were seated right away. I ordered P.5 Rare USDA Choice Flap Meat and Meatball Pho. I was a bit surprised by the price, $19.45?! Back at home was not this pricey. I appreciate the sauces provided, not stingy at all. Iced coffee with condense milk was too bitter for me. I asked for extra condense milk. I couldn't finish the bowl. It was a lot of food. Staffs are friendly. Parking was easy to find. I'd come back and try a different dish.

There are multiple Pho Ha Noi's in the south bay because of its popularity! The are known for their pho but I personally love their sticky rice and hainese chicken! Taste: Everything i've ordered here has been a hit! 5/5 flavor wise Parking: This can be tricky. They have plaza parking but during rush hour it can get full. On the other side of the parking is a hotel which is not a parking option, but on the other side is a park. i park at the park if the plaza is full! Service: It's always good. At the end, they let you know that there is a 18% service fee.

This was my first time at pho hanoi, which is known to be a pretty popular place for viet food. This location has a parking lot, but it tends to fill up fast. We arrived a little bit before 1 pm on a Saturday, and got lucky with parking. We were immediately sat at a table, and given menus and water. Inside was modern casual. We ordered chicken thigh pho, bun cha, hanoi special spring rolls. All were super delicious. My favorite was the bun cha. The flavor was super good. Service was great. Staff ended up switching our table from a table for 2 to a table for 4, since our plates were too big. Total ended up being 68 dollars (tip automatically included), which is pricier than other local viet restaurants. But food is decent!

Shaking beef with tomato rice and Korean ribs dish

Been to Pho Ha Noi handful of times. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the pho (not super flavorful broth), but I do like their other dishes. We ordered the shaking beef and tomato rice, the Korean ribs, and the fried egg roll. Beef shaking rice- 4/5. The flavor is super tasty and the amount of sauce and rice is perfect! The meat was a little bit chewy at times but overall pretty tender. Korean ribs- 3/5: nothing crazy special about the dish. Pretty solid and good quality meat. Fried pork egg roll- 4/5: no complaints pretty good! I like the wide variety of dishes they offer and they always have good service. The parking lot is very limited and sometimes you have to park elsewhere. It can be pretty busy depending when you go.

Thick, Northern noodles. My favorite! Got the large combo and finished every bite. The bone in version looked awesome too! Can't go wrong here.

Great food, chill music playing, and quick service We got the P2 Pho with extra meat, and the sausage spring rolls. So yummy! The broth was so delicious and the spring rolls had some crunchy goodness inside while still having that fresh Vietnamese spring roll feel. Loved it

    VIETNAMESE GRILLED PORK SAUSAGE ROLL
    Emily N.

Note that parking is very limited!! The small lot fills up quickly and there's only Apple employee parking nearby + few street parking spots. Friday 8:30pm we had to wait a bit to be seated (party of 6). Pho was great albeit having to share vegetable toppings instead of each getting individual plates. Sausage roll was tasty as well. But as we started eating, the staff asked for us to pay immediately -maybe because they were closing soon? we couldn't understand the staff but paid anyway. Overall food is good as usual but I'll probably go to their other branches with better parking options.

I came in on a Thursday around 5:30 and there were just a few other people dining here. It was pretty clean and there was air conditioning which was nice. The girl serving was super helpful, her name was Joyce. She was pretty attentive to whatever I needed by refilling my water consistently, gave good recommendations, and brought me whatever I asked for. The food itself was good but I would have liked the broth to be a little more flavorful. The portion felt average but there was a lot of meat in the bowl. It would have been nice if the bowl itself was bigger. I'd definitely come back for the service itself. Also the pandan waffle was so yummy!

This Pho Hanoi location has been for many years, and it still stands strong and is a staple of Vietnamese food in the Cupertino area. Most recently, I came in with my friend and was seated immediately on a weekend evening. I ordered their steak and meatball pho. Our orders arrived quickly after we ordered. The portion size was generous, and the broth was rich and aromatic. I wish that the meat was slightly more flavorful. I opted for the small round noodles that I usually eat, but they also have the option of the flat and wide noodles. The prices are also more on the expensive side, but the quality of the pho is worth it.

P8. 1lb Short Rib Pho (Phở Sườn Bò)
    Vicky Y.

I'm usually all about supporting small Viet spots, so I was a little hesitant when my friends wanted to go to Pho Ha Noi, a bigger chain in the Bay. But wow, consider me converted because this place slaps!! The short rib pho was so meaty and tender, and the broth was light, clean, and exactly what I needed for my extremely bloated stomach. Comforting, simple, perfect. No wonder this chain grew so big. Very well-deserved and definitely recommending this one!

P1. Combination Beef Pho (Phở Bò DB)
    Anthony S.

I saw people talking about this pho place on Reddit, and it didn't disappoint! We came for dinner, so they were out of their homemade noodles. I got egg noodles instead with the beef combo. The bone broth was so rich and full of depth. I didn't even need to add any sriracha or hoisin. I wish there was some more variety in the herbs given, but overall the meats were great and the portion size was huge.

Charge 18% automatic gratuity for any size party and don't warn you beforehand - just springs the bill on you. insists they "cannot remove it" the food itself is good, i love the fresh noodles in the pho

When will the new Palo Alto location open?

The Palo Alto Pho Ha Noi location is open now!

Does outdoor seatings still exist at this restaurant?

No. They no longer have outdoor seating.

I was wondering which of the dishes contain sesame or sesame oil, for allergy reasons?

All of our soup bowls and rice dishes has no sesame oil. Only rock and roll beef has sesame oil in it. And the sauce for grill pork roll also has sesame on it too.…

Do you guys put MSG in your pho?

Who knows, but they do make it mandatory to pay an 18 percent tip on parties of 1 or more LOL!

When will Imperial Rolls be available to order on Chow Now again?

    They are available

    What dishes are gluten-free?

Is the broth for the Pho made with Beef Bone or Pork Bone?

Beef or chicken - depending which you prefer.

They do have a vegetarian pho option. However, I don't think that it is anywhere near as good as their regular noodle soup. Golden Bamboo in East side San Jose is a great option for vegetarian food including Pho.

It has the best service, the best ambiance. Although the place is smaller than Milpitas it brings in a more comforting ambiance especially with the decoration that makes it feel more like a home rather than a restaurant chain. The food is excellent, we tried the Tom Kha Khai Soup and the Green Curry. Along with Chicken Skewers which were HUGE! The Thai Tea was excellent and the Mango Sticky Rice was of course amazing. I'm hesitant with coconut based broths sometimes as it can be too rich (or taste like the stabilizing gums) but this broth was tempered with spices and the perfect balance. Unfortunately the tofu tasted weird - like super sour, as if it had spoiled or something. The crunch noodles on top were wheat based instead of rice based to get the crunch but the flavor was so noticeably "wheat-y" that it didn't mesh well with the other dish flavors. The Thai tea was also diluted and not as strong as usual. But my friends pad kee mao tasted delicious so maybe just stick with the classics.
