This was our first time at Pho NCS. We were greeted upon entering and quickly seated. It's a small restaurant but there is plenty of seating. We ordered pho, I preferred the P3 (beef) my hubby and daughter also had pho. My daughter got the kids pho, and I ordered a side of noodles in broth for my son who is super picky. The menu prices are outdated. When I inquired about it, the lady basically brushed me off. Said something to her colleague in their in their language. No apology or was willing to honor what was listed in the menu. Pay attention to what you pay vs what the menu lists. Tables and sauce bottles were very sticky to touch. Elbows were sticking to the table. Entrance way had debris on floor and looked like it needed to be swept. Entry door was very dirty with all sorts of smudges and finger prints. read more

The bowl was huge, filled with lots of noodles and lots of ox tail, already de-boned. The broth was very flavorful and exceeded my expectations. If you've never had ox tail pho, then you're missing out! The meat was so tender and so very delicious! Definitely try this if you haven't already. Ox tail is not cheap, but the restaurant charged a very reasonable price. We also ordered spring rolls and egg rolls. This has easily become my go to spot for pho. The oxtail pho is AMAZING!!! The broth is so flavorful. They give you the perfect amount of bean sprouts, jalapeños etc. The oxtail is deboned and they don't skimp on the meat. The sauces and chili oil compliment the pho as well. I love spice so I love to drown it if you can't tell by how red the broth is in the picture lol. Service is very fast and efficient. Any of the different soup choices are a safe bet, although I usually crave the grilled pork bahn mi - the size of the sandwich, the price, and the bread make it perfect for me. My family likes the fried wonton-wrapped prawn appetizer (guilty pleasure). They are so nice about replacing noodles/rice in the grilled meat dishes with extra lettuce for my low carb kid. A very good pho spot. Rude Vietnamese staff and lovable ones as well. Very authentic. the Banh Mi sandwich was stellar. Typically you get a lot of Bahn Mi's on French baguettes. Bread's too hard, this is Vietnamese baguettes. Flaky, crispy, and somehow still soft to the touch. The pho as well was very good. We tried the regular Beef broth, Ox Tail, and Chicken. Amazingly deep flavors in each of the broths. Not sure if the meat in the Ox Tail was actual oxtail or the chuck steak. Was not bad at all but the pieces in there were stringy (still tender to touch) but almost 3 inch long. Not sure how many ox tails you get that are that thicc. Skunked corona bottles that are 20 shades too dark to be safe for human consumption on on the walls and man its not a good look. read more

First time here and would definitely be back for the fresh shrimp rolls and egrilled beef Bahn Mi! So glad they loaded it up with the right amount of veggies and beef that was very tasty and no chewy or overcooked! Looked over the menu - the menu states that you get "boiling beef broth." I did not want "boiling beef broth" in my Pho Ga. So I asked if I could get chicken broth. Strange response: "No, then yes." So I had a bowl of the Pho Ga - with chicken broth - and white meat. Plus a glass of water. The chicken broth was very light - in both color and in taste. I've had worse - it was just okay. The aromatics were fresh, as were the veggies and lime wedges. As always, I applied liberal quantities of Sriracha to both bites and to the broth. They probably do a better job with the beef broth. I'm sure I'm not the most reliable person to review this joint since I have never been to Saigon to try the REAL SAIGON pho experience but this one small bowl makes me feel like I've been there in Saigon eating pho in by the street food stall :) However, I've been here and there to try few joints and this one place keep me coming back again and again, simply because I can easily tell their broth is more fragrant and aromatic and not too salty ( I found few places that has salty broth and I'm not a fan ) I gave 3 stars simply because after my numerous order and I tried their veggie pho & I kinda dissapointed that tofu amount is not as many as I could imagine, it's literally 7 small triangle sliced ( which means it's only 3.5 small tofu :) here's my thoughts ; I feel for $11.50 price point for one bowl, they could've given me extra tofu since their not so generous in the accoutrements either :) They also pretty quick to have your order ready ( I always order by phone and make a pick up order ) I tried their beef, chicken and veggie version, they are all tasty but the particular tofu has left me a little bit disappointed. Their spring rolls ( fried ) also delicious but I wasn't aware that they have shrimp inside which I'm allergic to, not to mention the price is a little bit higher than another joint. I will be lying if I said that they are not good. I actually kinda think if their price point is high because of the meat quality or because they are so confident that they are good so the price is worth it. Well, I only tried pho(s) and crispy spring rolls for maybe 5 times already, I will still coming back until I can make it by myself aka homemade :) Compare to Viet Fxxx & Viet Ch*** this place is actually win even to Viet 75. There is also one more at Lorton, pho chateau that are pretty good as well. Again, I am not a pho expert plus they claimed that there's a various region version so as for me it really depends on someone preferences but I prefer their PHO SHO :) PS : this restaurant doesn't offer the bowl sizing, so their price is only for one size which is for me it's more likely "regular" bowl because I wouldn't consider it as large bowl :) read more

The pho was pretty good, fatty brisket was very fatty, the tendon was a little chewy and the brisket was perfect. They only have one size bowl and almost all are $9.75. Still not a bad price for what you get. Menu is typical of a Vietnamese place (egg rolls, lots of pho varieties, vermicelli dishes) but they also have sandwiches! Not sure if they are traditional Vietnamese Bahn Mi or not, but would assume so. Vietnamese iced coffee was good and strong and the wait staff was very attentive. Only negative is the cleanliness of the restaurant. I was in a table against a wall and the wall was covered in food splatter. The table, dishes and silverware all appeared relatively clean though.
