Tucked away in the newly developed Neabsco area that you don't see easily from the main road unless you happen to live in the development or go around towards the Hilton Garden Inn hotel area. First thing this place is kind of tight for those who have wheelchairs or walkers but we were able to get in. As an appetizer we had the cute crispy pork spring rolls. Mom got the pho ga with yellow noodles and I ordered the beef stew. We liked the broth it was really flavorful but the yellow noodles were really skinny and smaller than we are used to. The service was very good. Stumbled across this place when I had a craving for pho after a recent trip to Vietnam. I've been back twice since then. The pho is really good and I like how they thinly slice their chicken into it so it stays tender and isn't over cooked. The soup comes in 2 sizes and I always go for the smaller one. We order a pho meatball and a spicy beef noodle (bun Bo hue) The portions are impressive but the flavors did not deliver. The broths were bland and missing extra seasonings to make it actually flavorful. The beef brisket in bun Bo hue tasted like really old frozen meat and just wasn't palatable. The server we had was very nice and she was doing a lot from making the drinks, getting the food, and serving the customers. So kudos to her for being the only server in the place. The staff was very welcoming when we entered and although it was relatively empty when we were seated, the restaurant filled up by the end of our meal! We ordered the spring and summer rolls, P01. I wish that there was a version of the vermicelli with just one type of meat instead of pork, chicken, and shrimp combined, but the variety was nice! The rest of my family ordered a large version of their pho and they were satisfied with the size. Overall, they though the pho was pretty good but noted that the beef was tasteless on its own. I also found that the shrimp in my vermicelli was quite bland. Otherwise, I enjoyed my dish and there was plenty of meat, which was very flavorful other than the shrimp. Located within a new apartment and housing development. Viet Fortune is a very authentic and warm restaurant. The service is very friendly. The place is very clean. Lots of parking. I ordered the spring rolls and the Seafood "Pho" noodle soup. I ordered the small one, but it was a very nice serving. The soup I must say was delicious! So good, even without adding any extra spices that were on the table. All the ingredients were very fresh! I totally recommend this place! Pretty standard Vietnamese place, with typical fare. One thing that surprised me is that the menu had banh mi on it. I'm used to most Vietnamese restaurants having everything BUT banh mi and having to go to a specialty banh mi restaurant. First, the atmosphere. The restaurant has a pretty minimal lay out--feels very modern l. B&w photos of Vietnam adorn one of the walls. The music playing was some kind of techno/EDM. It felt out of place--but maybe it's just me. The service was good. They were a little bit busy when I walked in, but the staff acknowledged me immediately (it was self seat). That acknowledgement goes a long way. Another way the staff is attentive is that when one of them saw me add lots of sriracha to my pho, she came over and handed me some of their homemade chili oil--"Since you like things spicy!" That was awesome! As for the food, I got a little of everything since it was my first time. I'd normally get ca phe sua da (iced coffee) but it was pretty late in the evening and I didn't want the caffeine messing up my sleep. So I got an avocado smoothie as a treat instead. It was pretty good. For my meal, I started with summer rolls. They were good. My main course consisted of pork banh mi and beef pho. The banh mi was tasty. The bread was too soft for my liking--I'm used to the bread being more like a traditional baguette (I've been spoiled by Banh Mi DC--which is right near my job). The banh mi had all the fixings: daikon, cucumber, carrots, jalapeños. The beef pho (I got steak and brisket) was very good. I will say that the plate of goodies that comes with pho (limes, jalapeños, mint, bean sprouts) had more jalapeños than I'd ever been served in my life with pho. That's a plus in my book. While this place will not dethrone Viet Chopsticks as my favorite Woodbridge-area Vietnamese restaurant, I will definitely be coming back. read more

Bottom line upfront - I recommend this establishment. The food is very good. Now for the details of my recent visit: I was disappointed this establishment doesn't have many vegetarian choices, but i learned it's willing to satisfy the customer. The vegetarian pho has just some vegetable ingredients (carrot, celery, broccoli, onion, all fresh) with noodles. I don't want a lot of noodles as I don't need the extra calories, but i do want lots of veggies instead. When I asked if there was anything with more vegetables and perhaps less noodles I was directed by the male covering my table to the Combo Pho ($18.95), which includes pork and chicken. Not exactly vegetarian! But worry not, they offered to withhold the meat. I asked if that meant I'd get or could get more veggies instead and was told N-O. Buy I'd still have to pay the same price. I ordered the summer rolls instead. They were good with the peanut sauce. As i was getting ready to leave, a female worker came by, and I started a conversation with her about how the owner should consider more veggies for the vegetarian pho. And how disappointed I was that I can't eat anything else but the summer rolls. That became a fruitful conversation, and I learned the male employee I initially encountered was new and still in training. I was told what I wanted was very possible. So I ordered it. While the food was being made, the owner (who works a full-time job as well) came to chat. I offered my experience disappointment, happiness the female employee saved my day, and my opinion that some more veggies and less noodles should be available for the veggie pho so health concise people would be more inclined to visit and enjoy the food, plus come back. He took my suggestion well and promised to look at the menu to better explain the ingredients and options for the veggie pho. The pho arrived, and it was great, very authentic, and tasty. It had tofu, broccoli, carrot, tasty noodles, and celery. On the side, there was a fair amount of very fresh basil, alfalfa spouts, lime, and sliced jalapeno to add as desired. The owner and both the servers i encountered were very nice. It was apparent they truly want to please the customer, if at all possible, provide a great customer experience and serve up good food at a fair price for the market area they are in. My next visit may increase my rating to 4 or 5 stars if the owner is able to make the minor tweak of the menu so other customers can have a better experience ordering. Meanwhile, I do recommend this establishment. I love when hard-working people succeed in establishing, maintaining, and perhaps even growing their small business. I will be back. read more

Shrimp did not taste fresh. Rice was not up to restaurant standard. The spring rolls were mushy. I have never been to a Vietnamese restaurant so thought maybe I was not use to it. I usually patron a Thai place nearby that is wildly different in quality. The more I think of it, it was just the lacking of quality not the type of restaurant. If you cant get fried rice right, I don't expect the rest to be good. I wont come back, unfortunately. read more
