it can't be eaten. The beef is not fresh and the dried grapes are too hard to eat.

In the past, the pineapple beef fried rice here was okay, but today it can't be eaten. The beef is not fresh and the dried grapes are too hard to eat.

Recently, I went here for dinner and ordered the chicken pad thai and chicken satay. The pad thai was good but the chicken had the freezer smell to it. The chicken satay was very disappointing. There were 4 large skewers but they were really salty and chewy. It was not what I expected.

Orange Chicken (requested extra sauce)

This was the third time we have ordered delivery from Pho and Thai in the last year, and the last. We were trying to support small local restaurants during the pandemic, and try a few new ones. We gave them a few chances, hoping that the next time would be better. Everything is extremely dry and flavorless. They put no sauce or seasoning on anything. This time I specifically requested extra sauce on everything, but we still didn't get any. We got Steamed Pork Dumplings, which are the smallest dumplings I have ever seen. The sauce cup is even smaller, so you can't actually dip the dumplings. They are very dry and pasty, with not much flavor. We got Chicken Pad Thai, a dish that we have had at many other restaurants. There are literally only 4 ingredients in their Chicken Pad Thai: chicken, noodles, and a little scrambled egg, topped with some chopped peanuts. No vegetables, sauce or seasonings. The noodles are pasty in a similar way to the dumplings. You can tell in the photo, it's not the color you usually find in Pad Thai because there's no sauce. This time I ordered a side of peanut sauce (anticipating that it might be dry again), but they charge extra for that, like it's a side. I also asked for extra peanuts this time because there were very few the first two times I ordered it. The third dish we ordered was Orange Chicken, which we had not ordered before. It looked very appealing in the photo on their website menu. It was nothing like the photo. This dish had zero sauce on it. They did give us a side of some kind of watery sauce that tasted like it was supposed to be orangey. This dish was a dry, plain, fried chicken patty sliced up, with some undercooked veggies (mostly broccoli, with some shredded carrots and baby corn). There was a small box of white rice that came with it, but we didn't even open that. We live one mile from this restaurant and the delivery has taken more than 45 minutes each time we've ordered. We usually order between 7 and 8 pm, so I wouldn't think they'd be that busy. I hate to leave terrible reviews, but this is the third strike out and the first review I've left for them.

Boneless Duck Noodle Soup & Thai Iced Tea

Looks like Pho & Thai have been reading their reviews. I, sort of, have become a regular here for lunch and can honestly say they have made some adjustments. The thai basil has consistently arrived at the table fresh and green, not wimpy/brown as previously mentioned. Their rare eyeround has improved as well. It has stopped arriving at the table well done but instead is actually rare the way it's suppose to be. And even the texture/thickness of the slices of the eyeround have gotten better, it's not as thick and chewy as it used to be. The duck noodle soup is still fabulous and my favorite. Thank you Pho & Thai for paying attention and making the small changes, cause they do make a significant difference. For that, you've bumped yourself up to 4 stars.

Fresh spring rolls (take-out)
Silvia V.

Pho and Thai is still our number 1 take-out restaurant in the area. Firstly, because it's two blocks away from our house, and secondly, because the food is consistently good. We still love the Tom Yum noodle soup, but also the fresh spring rolls with shrimp, chicken satay, pad thai, drunken noodles with beef or tofu and Thai fried rice. I've eaten at the restaurant once, but we get take-out 2-3 times a month. They recognize us when we call to order. :)

Pleasant staff. Ordered take out-was reasonable wait. Pad Thai was dry and average flavor. Probably would not order that again

Everything was delicious in this Thai restaurant. It was really genuine Thai cooking. The service…read morewas welcoming, and the ambience was cozy and yet it was high ceiling modern. I ordered the Papaya salad, Chicken satay. Curry Shortribs and Phad See Yue with beef and the mango sticky rice with coconut ice cream. All I can say was everything was exceptionally tasty and I would definitely come back here again. This place is reasonable and not overpriced. Definitely make a reservation.

It was very busy but we were able to get a table for two within 5 min. The service was super slow. Took ~20 min for our server to take our order & another 40 min for our food to come. We noticed our server was the only server for all the tables, haha crazy! Here's what we ended up ordering: -roti (w/ potato curry sauce) -chicken wings (w/ spicy garlic sauce) -pad see ew -pla pad kun chai (fried cod fish fillet w/ lemongrass + Chinese celery) -Thai iced tea We tried the chicken wings, the roti, and Thai iced teas at the restaurant & ended up requesting for the rest of our food to go since we were on a time crunch. Thoughts: The pad see ew was delicious! We reheated it later that night & it was flavorful. I would definitely get this again. The chicken wings had good flavor but we found the chicken itself to be very dry inside. Made it difficult to enjoy. I loved the potato curry sauce that came with the roti. Simple but tasty dish. The pla pad kun chai was our least favorite dish we ordered. It didn't taste good at all after reheating. We're curious if we would've enjoyed this more if we ate it at the restaurant when it was fresh? The fish had a very fishy smell & didn't taste like it had been treated with lemon, vinegar, or both. We usually enjoy cod fish & lemongrass but this was a complete miss for us. Lastly, the Thai iced tea was okay. It was a bit too watery for us & we wished it could've been creamier. Overall, I would come back again to give Cha Yen another try. I did like the dishes we tried at the restaurant & perhaps the fish for example would've tasted better if had at the restaurant.

Ordered the maki combo for takeout and it was fairly average - nothing outstanding but nothing…read moreterrible either. For $17.95, getting 3 rolls of sushi isn't a bad deal, so I'm giving this a 4/5. The combo comes with a spicy tuna roll, a california roll, and a salmon avocado roll. Spicy Tuna Roll: This was pretty disappointing. I really love spicy tuna rolls that have the minced tuna, spicy mayo, and tempura flakes all mixed together, but this was not that. This roll was a tuna cucumber roll with spicy mayo drizzled on top. With that, the spicy mayo was really overpowering and I couldn't taste the tuna at all. I'd prefer the normal tempura and mayo taste or just a tuna and cucumber, but doing it this way wasn't my favorite. California Roll: This was not bad - the imitation crab was big and plump and there was fish roe inside of the roll instead of on the outside which made it have a better texture in my opinion. The avocado was fresh and these bites were pretty enjoyable. Salmon Avocado Roll - This was the best roll of the 3 - the salmon tasted good and the avocado was fresh again. In all 3 rolls, the rice was a little dense, but at least it was a very filling 3 rolls for a good price point. 4/5!

Genuinely nice servers that want to take care of you :) There is a decent amount of seating inside (although a very small parking lot - 4-5 spots) and is well lit + has tvs that show videos of the food being made which was a nice touch! The food is great, we got a bowl of pho, a pork rice plate, and an app which was filling and tasty! But the prices are a bit costly... If you can afford it, definitely a spot worth checking out!!
