Okay I've come like 15 times and 51 sends me to heaven every time. No more chili oil bottles so they get a full 5 stars.

    #12 Brisket and Tenderloin Pho

This is my favorite place for Pho. I had a dental procedure last week and have not been able to eat much or chew. Every time I have ever been there it's quick friendly service, very tasty food. There is just something about the pho #12 that changes my mood. Great ice coffee, salad rolls and magical hot goodness. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Has a nice vibe and makes me feel so happy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Must try.

I got the pho with brisket. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't good. I expected the broth to have more flavor. I was disappointed wouldn't go back.

Recently visited Portland for the weekend and I ate here twice! I got the #12. It was great! The customer service was great as well! I highly recommend.

The most authentic Bánh Xèo Miền Nam (Southern Vietnames Crepe) in Portland Metro Area. More details to come.

Nothing food-related in this review. I've never even looked at their full menu. This spot is my one and only fix for Bánh Xèo Southern style, made with mung beans. That ingredient sets it apart from the Northern and Central regions, and once you've had it, you'll understand why I don't stray. I'm a sucker for anything mung beans. But this afternoon I went rogue. While waiting for my table, I spotted something on the drink menu I'd never seen before: Avocado Smoothie with Coffee ($7.75). Smoothie + coffee + dessert + affogato vibes all in one glass? I had to get it! Verdict: surprisingly decent. Not an every-visit craving, but definitely a fun curveball when you want something different. Creamy, not too sweet, with just a touch of Vietnamese coffee. If I recreated it at home, I'd go half strong Vietnamese coffee, half mashed avocado, condensed milk drizzle, and sliced almonds for crunch. Get it at least once who knows, you might end up with a new favorite.

I came to Pho Oregon with a large group of people in the middle of the week for lunch. I must say that the staff were quite gracious and were able to seat the large number despite the lunch rush and no prior reservation. I personally got a small Tai, Nam, Gan Pho (#7), which was a popular choice with my friends. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, given the number of people within the group. My favorite part might have been a combination of the meat and the broth. The meat was tender, and the broth was rich and flavorful. They also provide a good amount of herbs and greens to go with the pho. To behonest the sizing was on par for the price. I could probably have finished the small if I really wanted to, but I ended up taking some of it to go. Most of my friends ended up finishing their bowls, and they themselves aren't very big people either. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was decently sized. I will say it reminds me of many of the other pho places I've been to, but I think it adds to the charm in a certain way.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is also a decent amount of seating if that is something you are concerned about.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Worth every dollar as every plate is filled with delicious and savory foods! Would definitely be coming back!! Service was awesome, our waitress was funny even though she tried to argue she was funnier than me but that's cool. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant was clean and spotless.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely bring your family here, enjoy a nice lunch and leave with a filled belly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also, try their coffee.. will definitely leave you energized!!!!!!!

My phone was so delicious! I ended up going with the lean brisket option, and it did not disappoint. I was wanting soup as I wasn't feeling the best, and a friend recommended this spot. I got beef fat on the side, and it added more flavor to the broth! The server was very nice, and knowledgeable of the different menu items. I made my soup spicy, and the broth was spot on. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only thing that I would say is that there were some flies flying around the restaurant and on some of the bottles. So keeping that in tact would help make the place feel a little cleaner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Visited after hiking on a cold day, and had such a great meal! I came between lunch and dinner during non-peak times, there was no wait but it was still busy. Servers were friendly and helpful. Pho #2 (5/5) - Delicious! I ate the whole bowl and drank all the soup. Couldn't get enough of it, the different cuts of meat were all very tender. Fried Spring Roll / Egg Roll (5/5) - Crunchy and soft inside, could tell it was fresh and made in-house. I will definitely be coming back!

Short ribs had to spit out pretty much every bite we took because of the fat and gristle

The egg noodle bowl on the top with fried chicken and tofu was phenomenal. The chicken was similar to fish sauce wings and the tofu was very caramelized and had a nice salty coating of sauce. The bottom was nem nướng and pork with the woven noodles. It was a very big portion, but the fresh herbs/veggies made it feel balanced. An order of spring rolls were also ordered, but wasn't in the photo. It was ordered with crispy pork belly. Based on some reviews, I was skeptical about ordering the pork belly, but I was pleasantly surprised. The skin was very crispy and you could hear the crunch from across the restaurant. The restaurant is very open with big windows, but I liked the concept of the open kitchen look. The service was really good. We ended up ordering pork belly and shrimp for our spring rolls and the worker politely came by and told us they were out of it. He was able to accommodate for it and was very kind about it. Even though you can order at the table with a QR code, the staff was very attentive.

The staff are friendly and the store is extremely aesthetic, the interior has this spin on modern Vietnamese style of decorations. Great interiors that's won't disappoint your date. I ordered through DoorDash and went with the Vegan Pho and salad rolls. On the positive side, they were generous with the tofu, which is more than I can say for a lot of restaurants. Unfortunately, both dishes seemed to have the same secret ingredient: salt. And then a little more salt. The pho broth was already pretty salty when it arrived, but somehow managed to become even saltier overnight. By breakfast the next morning, I was pretty sure it could have been used to preserve historical artifacts. The salad rolls were packed with tofu, which I appreciated, but whatever marinade was used had enough sodium that my old horse Mika probably would've mistaken it for a salt lick. To be fair, my Pescatarian mom and Omni husband both enjoyed their shrimp rolls, so not everything was a miss. Overall, the food was edible and filling, but the heavy hand with the salt kept me from fully enjoying it.

Downtown Portland's hidden gem for authentic Vietnamese!…read more I was walking around downtown Portland and stumbled upon Cuốn Vietnamese Street Food, and honestly, it was the best meal of my week . If you are looking for fresh, flavorful, and satisfying comfort food, do not walk--run to this spot. To get the full experience, we ordered a variety, and every single item was a hit. We started with the Beef Pho, and the broth was the absolute star. It was rich, aromatic, and deeply savory, clearly simmered for hours. It was the perfect dish on a sunny Portland day. We also grabbed a Chicken Banh Mi. The bread had that perfect crispy crust with a soft, airy crumb, and the chicken was grilled to perfection with fresh veggies and herbs. Of course, we had to wash it all down with a creamy, sweet Thai Tea--it was delicious and the perfect end to the meal. Beyond the food, the vibe is great. It's a super clean, casual spot with big windows letting in lots of natural light. It's set up for quick counter service, which makes it perfect for a fast lunch downtown, but the staff is so friendly and welcoming that you feel right at home. It's a family-run business, and you can taste the passion in the food. Highlights: · The Pho Broth: Seriously some of the best in the city. · The Banh Mi: Fresh bread, great fillings. · The Service: Fast, efficient, and incredibly kind. Pro Tip: Don't forget to grab your own utensils and sauces (the chili crisp is a must for the pho), and help yourself to the free self-serve hot tea. It's the little touches like that which make this place a winner. I am already planning my next trip back to try the Crispy Pork Belly. Highly recommend

Positives: fresh, well made, very flavorful proteins. Cons:…read morePrice I tried Cuon for the first time and enjoyed it. I went for a Vermicelli bowl where you get to pick 2 proteins. I selected Pork Belly (their specialty) and lemongrass chicken. The bowl itself is standard Vietnamese fare, nothing special, creative or exciting in that sense. That said, the ingredients tasted fresh and the proteins were very well seasoned and cooked. The pork belly skin had an awesome crunch and you can clearly taste the lemongrass in the chicken. The included spring roll had nice crunch but little flavor. Unfortunately, outside of Pho, Banh Mi and Noodle Bowls, there's sadly not much else to the menu. No Vietnamese salads, stir frys, etc. Either way, what they do make, they seem to make quite well. So, on to my main issue ie, that for a place thats only open for lunch, the prices are a bit too high. I noted about $16 for a Banh Mi sandwich, no sides. Pho was around $20 and my noodle bowl was about $20 as well. Weirdly, its about the same prices as eating lunch back home in Miami, a FAR more expensive city in general. In fact, I've often had more exciting Vietnamese in Manhattan for lower prices. So while its easy to recommend Cuon on quality, its not a top recommendation for lunch value in the PDX which is why Im docking 1 star.
