    24. Wonton Noodles Soup

The service was excellent and the inside was so vibrant and nice. We had a large party of 9 on a Saturday evening and got seated immediately. There is lots of seating. The food was tasty. The fish sauce wings were a bit overcooked but had a really nice flavor. I got the turmeric egg noodle soup (#23) and really enjoyed it. The flavor was mild and I wanted a bit more zing so I added all of my lime and the table chili sauce. The ginger crème brûlée was excellent.

Nice ambience, with plenty of dining space. Service was just alright. Our server spilled sauce when setting down a plate and seemed pretty awkward about it. A male worker gave me a funny look when I asked for two to-go containers for my pho (even when I explained one for the noodles and one for the broth - because the noodles always absorb the broth overnight). We had a party of 4 and our food took forever, even though the restaurant was not busy. Our appetizer came out the same time as our entrees. The food itself was tasty. My pho was overflowing with brisket (very generous for meat lovers). Although all elements combined, the best way to describe my experience was OK.

I haven't been here for a very long time. It used to be a place when you walk in and it's mostly Vietnamese, now it's mostly Caucasians. I wanted to come here for that nostalgia. This was the original pho restaurant of Portland. Vietnamese restaurants with 3 color drinks are my favorite. Decor is very nice, one of the nicest looking Vietnamese restaurants in the area. They are known to have the duck dish, which most Vietnamese restaurants don't have. Their #1 beef noodle pho wasn't at its best so I took a star off. Also because service was mediocre. There is parking.

It's been ages since I've been back to this location. This location has plenty of parking and the interior is spacious and very inviting. I liked that there were plants well positioned and natural light as well. I ordered the #1 (without tripe) and an iced vietnamese coffee. The coffee was pretty strong, but it gave me the boost I needed for the day. The pho was good (slightly salty for my preference), but also food is job of filling me up most of the day.

Overall, this place was really good! The service was decent, not bad nor great so okay! They have good memory on taking our order though so we can't go wrong! The ambiance inside is very calm (when not super busy) and makes you feel sort of outdoors at the same time. When it's busy it's kinda loud but that's expected from any busy and good dining place. The food was overall really good, we enjoyed all our meals and would definitely go back so it's definitely recommended!

I absolutely love this place! I specifically come in for their Che Van dessert. It's one of my absolute favorites to show people! You order and are served so quickly and the style of the building is so unique! They have plenty of tables, which makes this place a great option for large parties. I highly recommend to anyone in the area:)

Service is ok, they are quick to seat you but after ordering and bringing out your food, they don't check on you. We had to go to the front to pay. The place is very gorgeous, lots of natural light, pretty decor & ceiling fans to immerse you in the dining experience Got the pho #1, it came with lots of meat which i appreciate. Noodles were a bit too soft but not completely falling apart. Broth was not very good, didn't taste very clean. I usually go to Pho Hung but wanted to try Pho Van's pho today. It let me down. I do however love their vermicelli bowls here, they're the best in town in my opinion. Their spring rolls are so crispy & always hit the spot. But their pho is definitely not their shining dish. Overall, a great spot for vermicelli bowls & have great spring rolls (crispy rolls is what they call them here) but pho is not good here. Broth is not very clean/light tasting.

The pho here is delicious and comes in a generous portion. They load it with plenty of tender meat, and the greens are fresh, crisp, and vibrant. The price feels well worth it for both the quality and quantity. The atmosphere adds to the experience too--lush tropical greenery surrounds the space, creating a relaxing, refreshing vibe.

Maybe the nicest setting inside for Vietnamese restaurants in PDX, definitely unique decor. Large seating area so you do not feel crowded and it is never packed. Service is friendly and attentive. Large pho bowls come out piping hot and filled with fresh veggies. Normal noodles. Not sure why it is not more popular but would easily slurp here again.

This has been one of the oldest Vietnamese restaurant in Portland. The decor is great, do is the service. Come on weekends and enjoy the while fish dish that's only available then. Otherwise the pho is spot on. One of the best decorated Vietnamese restaurants in PDX and one of the best overall in taste and variety.

    Beef Salad

I ordered take out and this place never disappoints me. I ordered the beef salad. It is a pan seared lemongrass beef with vegetables. No noodles. Daikon, carrots, Chinese celery, peanuts, fried shallots and served with a black sesame seed cracker

Everything Y'pers have been raving about is true: Pho bowl packed with lean brisket and beef round. The brisket is succulent. Delicious broth; beefy flavor, herbal but not sweet.

The chicken in the curry broke apart so easily and the curry itself was very flavorful. Spice level 2 was perfect for a little kick, but not too much. The meat on the luc lac has a nice char on it and a sauce that is almost sweet. Service is quick and the vibe inside is very trendy with colorful decor and lights. Great for a night out. Previous visits have sometimes left us confused as if we ordered something different than a usual so i would say it is not too consistent but great if you catch it on a good day.

There were dragon on walls, umbrellas in the ceiling, a huge full service bar. Our dishes came out within few minutes. We got the chicken skewers, chicken pho, chicken luc lac and steak rolls. We liked the small plate dishes, but the entree ones were disappointing. The chickens were chunky and dry, bland flavor. As much as we loved the vibe of the place, we didn't enjoy the food as much. The staff members were very joyful and friendly. They were explaining the process to every guest and keeping everyone informed on waiting time. During dining, they were also available to help.
