Visiting Portland for a day from the Bay Area and decided to give this place a try and I'm glad I did! Very clean and friendly the food was delicious and very rich in flavor. This is the best bun bo hue I've had at a restaurant it tastes just like a homemade one. We ordered Thai tea and cafe sua da both were good and strong exactly how it should taste. If you want to try authentic viet pho this is the place to visit.

SO YUMMY!! If you've never had Bun Bo, it is sooo worth trying. Teo makes literally the best. It's savory, refreshing, sweet, spicy with notes of lemongrass. There's a generous amount of meat. I get it without knuckles and pork blood. There's lot of seating. Service is good, they walk around refilling tea and water. You pay at the front.

The quickest and friendliest staff to get your order and tea! The food was delicious. First time having the pho ga and there was a lot of meat too! The restaurant makes it feel like a modern Vietnamese restaurant and plays viet music which I love! Will be back with the craving of bbh!

Excellent! You know it has to be good if they only do 3 things. Bun Bo Hue, chicken and beef Pho. That's it. Which maybe could be a turn off to some, but just be prepared. Decor is stellar and so thoughtful, and their free tea is very good and not watered down at all. Bun Bo Hue is maybe the best I've had, rich, savory and a little sweet, which I like. Love the banana flowers and thin-shaved onion. Beef Pho is delightful and hearty, but also light, with those little dots of fat winking at you. And the portions! Does this bowl ever get any smaller? Like digging for treasure and it just keeps delivering. I will be back to try the chicken soon. The people are also very gracious and happy to see you, and will ask if you've been before and explain what each dish is--if this is your first Bun Bo Hue encounter. ;)

Came here recently as I heard their chicken pho/pho ga was good. And honestly, it did not disappoint. It definitely hit the spot on a cold, rainy day. The broth was flavorful, but the sauce that comes with it really brings it to another level. I will say that the chicken does have bones in it so be mindful when eating.

Solid bun bo hue spot, tastes similar to my mom's! I ordered takeout and the portion was very big! I like how they have all the meats and veggies a typical bbh bowl should have. Definitely go here if you're craving bbh rather than getting it at a pho restaurant.

This restaurant only have three kinds of noodles to order. I have tried the Bun Bo Hue this time. Price is reasonable and lots of meats and noodle in it. The broth was well made but the down side was the soup was not hot enough and after I put the green in. Service is prompt and friendly. The restaurant has limited seating and even outside parking is limited.

This was truly one of the best bowls of bun Bo hue I've ever had rivaling my favorite spot in Seattle Hoang Lan! The broth was so clean and savory with tons of herbs and meats to pair with this beefy soup broth! This delicious broth left me wanting more and more! I think this restaurant provided me with the most herbs I've ever seen at a Vietnamese spot! The service was quick and professional! Additionally the environment was warm and friendly with cute decor reminding me of Vietnam! I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who loves eating bun Bo hue and even if they don't, I'm pretty sure they'd fall in love with it!

Brought in a Hue person to try out Bun Bo Hue and they gave it 8/10! Located in a plaza with tons of parking, this cute restaurant is decorated with vespa motorbikes. The broth is flavorful and authentically Hue-style - less sweet, more savory from fermented shrimp paste. The only things missing are crab/shrimp paste and a pork patty (sometimes optional). With just Bun Bo Hue, Chicken Pho, and Beef Pho, the service is super quick! Highly recommend!

After searching for a restaurant with many reviews and stars praising the deliciousness with eye-catching pictures, I was really disappointed because Bun Bo at this restaurant does not have the right flavor Bun Bo Hue , it is not delicious

Happened on this place which is tucked into a far corner of a strip mall. What a find! The restaurant is spacious, very clean and modern. Service is efficient. Ordered the signature BBH. Broth is savory, without being overly spicy. All the proteins were delicious. The topper IMO is the generous plate of fresh veggies (shiso leaves and mint especially) which added great balance to the soup. Love this place!

My go to spot for BBH. I always ask for it spicy (it's never actually spicy), but the lemongrass chili oil is so good. I love that the veggies are always fresh and clean. The soup is not too salty and tastes great. It's a bit on the lighter side taste wise, but is always great. It tastes home made and always hits the spot. I will definitely be back! Service is minimal, but they do serve iced tea which pairs really well with a bowl of BBH!

The egg noodle bowl on the top with fried chicken and tofu was phenomenal. The chicken was similar to fish sauce wings and the tofu was very caramelized and had a nice salty coating of sauce. The bottom was nem nướng and pork with the woven noodles. It was a very big portion, but the fresh herbs/veggies made it feel balanced. An order of spring rolls were also ordered, but wasn't in the photo. It was ordered with crispy pork belly. Based on some reviews, I was skeptical about ordering the pork belly, but I was pleasantly surprised. The skin was very crispy and you could hear the crunch from across the restaurant. The restaurant is very open with big windows, but I liked the concept of the open kitchen look. The service was really good. We ended up ordering pork belly and shrimp for our spring rolls and the worker politely came by and told us they were out of it. He was able to accommodate for it and was very kind about it. Even though you can order at the table with a QR code, the staff was very attentive.

It's a Vietnamese delicacy you can't find anywhere else in Oregon so I'm glad to have to a Portland restaurant to offer this. They give a plentiful amount of fresh herby veggies combo with fresh hot rice noodles alongside tender flavorful char siu and SUPER CRISPY pork belly! The staff are friendly and the store is extremely aesthetic, the interior has this spin on modern Vietnamese style of decorations. Great interiors that's won't disappoint your date. I absolutely recommend coming here for their niche Vietnamese food!

Downtown Portland's hidden gem for authentic Vietnamese!…read more I was walking around downtown Portland and stumbled upon Cuốn Vietnamese Street Food, and honestly, it was the best meal of my week . If you are looking for fresh, flavorful, and satisfying comfort food, do not walk--run to this spot. To get the full experience, we ordered a variety, and every single item was a hit. We started with the Beef Pho, and the broth was the absolute star. It was rich, aromatic, and deeply savory, clearly simmered for hours. It was the perfect dish on a sunny Portland day. We also grabbed a Chicken Banh Mi. The bread had that perfect crispy crust with a soft, airy crumb, and the chicken was grilled to perfection with fresh veggies and herbs. Of course, we had to wash it all down with a creamy, sweet Thai Tea--it was delicious and the perfect end to the meal. Beyond the food, the vibe is great. It's a super clean, casual spot with big windows letting in lots of natural light. It's set up for quick counter service, which makes it perfect for a fast lunch downtown, but the staff is so friendly and welcoming that you feel right at home. It's a family-run business, and you can taste the passion in the food. Highlights: · The Pho Broth: Seriously some of the best in the city. · The Banh Mi: Fresh bread, great fillings. · The Service: Fast, efficient, and incredibly kind. Pro Tip: Don't forget to grab your own utensils and sauces (the chili crisp is a must for the pho), and help yourself to the free self-serve hot tea. It's the little touches like that which make this place a winner. I am already planning my next trip back to try the Crispy Pork Belly. Highly recommend

Positives: fresh, well made, very flavorful proteins. Cons:…read morePrice I tried Cuon for the first time and enjoyed it. I went for a Vermicelli bowl where you get to pick 2 proteins. I selected Pork Belly (their specialty) and lemongrass chicken. The bowl itself is standard Vietnamese fare, nothing special, creative or exciting in that sense. That said, the ingredients tasted fresh and the proteins were very well seasoned and cooked. The pork belly skin had an awesome crunch and you can clearly taste the lemongrass in the chicken. The included spring roll had nice crunch but little flavor. Unfortunately, outside of Pho, Banh Mi and Noodle Bowls, there's sadly not much else to the menu. No Vietnamese salads, stir frys, etc. Either way, what they do make, they seem to make quite well. So, on to my main issue ie, that for a place thats only open for lunch, the prices are a bit too high. I noted about $16 for a Banh Mi sandwich, no sides. Pho was around $20 and my noodle bowl was about $20 as well. Weirdly, its about the same prices as eating lunch back home in Miami, a FAR more expensive city in general. In fact, I've often had more exciting Vietnamese in Manhattan for lower prices. So while its easy to recommend Cuon on quality, its not a top recommendation for lunch value in the PDX which is why Im docking 1 star.
