Came back for some delicious Pho on a cool day in Arlington! As always, the customer service was great and food came out in good timing. I ordered the small seafood pho (shrimp and crab only) and a side of eggrolls. The broth was delicious and eggrolls added a nice crunch. I tried my friend's edamame and the sauce was amazing- not too spicy or garlicky. I'll definitely return here as the food is consistent and I'll be open to trying other items on the menu.
It's just another pho place. I don't know how long ago it's been since they moved here but I did go to there old location awhile back. There's a few good pho places next to my house so I generally don't seek it out when going out. The pho okay, it wasn't bad but it wasn't my favorite? I generally look for a piping hot clean soup, this was more of a 7/10 on that scale. The flavors were really good & the noodles seemed skinnier than most, which I actually liked a lot better. A large bowl is already a huge serving, the meatballs were average. I had one that was shaped like a heart. Springrolls, 9/10. Pork springrolls 7/10. Chicken springrolls 7/10. In the last two felt there was a lack of meat. Grilled pork with rice, excellent, 10/10. Combination fried rice 8/10. Service was fine, they have some booths. We sat at the tables, they have tables put together with the chairs one after the other. It didn't affect us since it wasn't crazy busy but I don't know how comfortable & spacious that would be for customers had it been busier. Waiter that took our order was kinda meh, he seemed impatient as well as the lady who took care of our check & didn't bring back a receipt as we had selected to have a copy when we paid. They have been here for years, so I am sure they are doing something right. Maybe an off day, new staff or whatever. I'll probably still come back at some point & it was still a good meal.
Found a bug in my takeout -- very disappointing experience. I ordered shaken beef from Pho Pasteur and discovered a bug in the dish. I called the restaurant immediately, but the manager denied responsibility, saying "we don't have that kind of bug in the restaurant." I explained that it was in the lettuce, which clearly hadn't been washed properly. They refused to issue a refund and even hung up on me. I called back and they hung up again. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Very disappointed with how they handled the situation and their complete lack of accountability.
I honestly don't know how I haven't managed to write up how much I enjoy Phở Pasteur. Welp. That ends today. If you want to dive face first into a tasty, comforting bowl of phở, look no further. I admit I haven't managed to eat all the way through this menu, but their beef phở (whether it's the rare steak, flank, tendon, fatty brisket, meatballs, or all the above) is so incredibly delicious, I just can't seem to move on--especially when it's cooler weather or my allergies are acting up or... Just whenever, okay? Seriously, the broth is fragrant and delicious and the side of jalapeños, Thai basil, bean sprouts, and onions are always fresh. I particularly enjoy it with a pot of jasmine tea. The waitstaff is always friendly and attentive no matter how busy it gets. I think it's much easier to walk around in the current location versus their previous one (that had lots of family style seating). It's hard for me to drive past Phở Pasteur without stopping for a bite. I definitely recommend it.
I haven't been to Phở Pasteur in awhile but food still hits the spot! Plenty of parking in this shopping complex next to other restaurants and businesses. We came for different Vietnamese dishes we were craving. Portion sizes were great and filling. Restaurant is clean. Service was good and the owner stopped by to check on how we were doing. Great experience overall!
One of the best pho spots in Arlington!! Their new location is much more convenient and their food is still the same if not better. They serve you huge portions and everything tastes amazing. We've always gotten our food so quick here and the prices are good too. Don't skip on the meaty rib pho they specialize in!
Absolutely worst pho place I've been to. The old server guy we had didn't know english and didn't bother getting the younger guy to help translate. I wanted a vietnamese coffee less sweet (I said it in vietnamese and used google translate as well) and he still didn't understand. They basically have pre made coffee sitting in the glass case that looks really old. I'm sure it's just the coffee and they can adjust the sweetness, but he wanted to play dumb. I got the pho tai bo vien as that's my go to and I grew up eating that so I know what good pho should taste like. The broth here was horrendous it tasted like they use the powder and it was really salty. No good bone broth flavor. The meats were cheap quality as well. The bun bo hue sucked so bad that my gf got diarrhea from it. Something about it didn't look right, but we figured that's just how they make it here. We were the only asians in the restaurant which makes me think this place isn't what it's hyped up to be.
A really solid pho spot, near the Arlington Costco, which is always convenient. We decided to try something different and got the bun bo hue, the tomato broth was really smooth and homey. The bowl came with plenty of meat, you won't leave hungry. Also ordered the combo stir fried, again the portion was huge. The sauce was on the sweeter side so depending on your preference, you may or may not like it. The service as a bit slow, but the staff was friendly. We'd love to return and try the other items on the menu.
My coworkers and I have come here for years. They changed owners and names but the food is still good and very similar to the previous place. I recently got chicken pad Thai. It was really good. Not sure if it was viet style pad Thai or if that is even a thing. It's been awhile since I have had real "Thai" pad Thai, so not sure if I can compare it to that. All I know was it was good. They give you a really large portion too. I love the flavor of the sautéed onions and the texture of the peanuts. This dish is a little sweet. I would get it again. Their shakin (spelling?) beef dishes are really good too.
I was in town and wanted to have some pho with my friend. I've been to pho Pasteur before and there are other locations but not sure if it's the same franchise. This is the first time I've been here though. Food was good and portions are pretty big. We ordered the traditional shrimp and pork spring rolls, pho dat biet (beef mix), and bun Bo hue (spicy pork and beef noodle soup). We were so full at the end. Service was great! Server was attentive and respectful. Place is pretty big, great for small and large groups. If you're in this area, definitely try this place out. Till then, let's eat!
Pho Pasteur is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine on Matlock Road. We started with the B1 - Bun Bo Nurong Sa, a Grilled Lemongrass Beef fresh rice vermicelli bowl, which was super flavorful. There was tons of noodles and a good amount of veggies and flavorful meat. For the main course, we had the extra large PD1 - Pho Dac Biet, the Pasteur Combo Pho. This bowl of pho was nothing short of spectacular - rich, flavorful broth filled with an assortment of meats and noodles cooked to perfection. The extra large size took me by surprise - it fed 4 people in my party and made us so full. Super affordable if you can split as it was $17. We also couldn't resist taking home a SW2 - Banh Mi Ga Nurong, a grilled chicken banh mi sandwich. Packed with grilled chicken, fresh vegetables, and a perfectly crisp baguette, it was a nice easy meal to serve my grandparents for dinner. The staff here was incredibly friendly, attentive, and especially patient with my elderly grandparents. We also appreciated the pay in cash discount. It wasn't super crowded on a Sunday morning either, but as lunchtime came closer, the more crowded it became. Come earlier to opening time if you want a quieter time! Overall, Pho Pasteur exceeded my expectations. I now know where to go for Vietnamese food when I visit my family in TX again.

Pho was amazing! I got the 16. Phở with Steak & Tendon (Phở Tái Gân) it was delicious, I've never tasted such a clean and flavorful broth like the one here. The service is amazing and the restaurant is very clean and welcoming. Definitely will be coming back again! Not to mention the price, very affordable, do not hesitate to try this place out ! read more
Had a yummy dinner here! Beef Pho with shrimp and tofu which was great! (Super good savory broth) i wish they removed the shrimp tails but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I had a thai tea boba drink and spring rolls as well. The tofu rolls were so good and the peanut sauce was super fresh! I liked the crushed peanuts on top. Boba was super good and chewy!! The tofu in my soup was a little cold in the middle but after dunking it in the hot broth it warmed up! Their menu is also EXTENSIVE asf!! Soo many options to try! Amazing! Definitely recommend read more

If you're looking for a place with authentic Vietnamese cuisine, look no Pho-ther! ;) Pho Pasteur is a classic example of a restaurant showcasing all aspects of a cultural cuisine! They have such an extensive menu, you'll definitely have to come back. Their new location is modern and spacious with nice decor and a projector that plays videos for your entertainment. The service is super friendly, very attentive to your needs, and makes sure you're taken care of! Pasteur Special: A must order for Pho! The special includes a combo of all meats that are traditional in pho and they don't skimp out on portions that's for sure. The broth was flavorful and rich, which is hard to come by at restaurants due to the time it takes to reach that level! It feels homey and tastes delicious! Spring Rolls: Great appetizer to share for a refreshing bite of veggies, shrimp, & rice noodles paired with a traditional peanut sauce. One of my personal favorite dishes so I definitely recommend. Egg rolls: Freshly made and flavorful! The eggrolls were perfectly crispy and hot when served and paired with a sweet and sour sauce. Grilled Beef Plate: Huge portions of rice, meat, & veggies! The meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly, it was moist and tender in every bite. A simple yet delicious plate! Torpedo Shrimp: The perfect balance of cream cheese and shrimp stuffing - I usually don't order this at places because the shrimp is always overwhelmed by the cream cheese but it wasn't here! I go here kinda often, mainly for a hangover cure. The pho is 7.5/10. The Bun Bo Hue is like a 6.8/10. Shrimp and pork spring rolls was 7.3/10. Overall nothing crazy to talk about. I do like that they sell XL bowls which is pretty cool. Do recommend if you are looking for a Vietnamese place to munch at read more

I was really disappointed. I read the reviews before I went and, unlike other reviewers, I didn't like this place. I ordered a noodle dish for takeout and it was very greasy. I had to throw it out. The torpedo shrimp were good, but the classic eggrolls lacked flavor. The service is good, and it was very easy to order. They prepared it very quickly. The inside of the restaurant is very nice and clean, but I won't be going back. read more

We ordered by Door Dash and had our food within 30 minutes - no mistakes on the order, still hot - and tasted incredible. We shared the steak and meatball Pho, 2 grilled pork spring rolls, and 2 egg rolls. Everything was just fabulous! We will return next time we are here. read more

Such a busy and culturally diverse Friday evening at Pho Pasteur! This was my first for venturing out on my own to try Vietnamese food in Texas. I was seated upon entering and knew what I wanted; banh xeo and hot Vietnamese coffee. Soo.... no banh xeo but I came prepared with a back up dish to order; bun bo hue. I've not yet had either dish, just had been studying Mikey Chen of Strictly Dumpling on YouTube to know what I had hoped to try once I arrived to a legitimate Vietnamese restaurant. I looked around to see such diversity in the customers eating. People coming in barely looked at a menu, practically telling the waiter what they wanted as they were being lead to the seats at their respective table. My BBH broth was soul-soothing. I added all the veggies and a bit of fish sauce and lemon. I could barely eat it as there was so much of it, so I asked for the soup and coffee to please be packaged to-go as I was getting so full. When I went to pay, the station to the left with the freshly sliced cabbage, prepared mint and basil, then neighboring L-shape table which housed a blender were all shiny and kept immaculately clean. Impressive! With all the dishes going out and bubble teas being made, they clean up very quickly and nicely. It was a lovely Friday night to observe this atmosphere and taste their food. My friend was feeling nostalgic of her UTA days so we made it out to Arlington for a good bowl of pho. I'm not the biggest fan of restaurant pho and there's only a couple of places I frequent to get some. While I have heard that Pho Pasteur makes a really good bowl, my skepticism has kept me away. I started out with an order of eggrolls. They came out too fast and were definitely pre-made. At least they were warm and still crispy and a good size. To me, the filling was a tad bit on the sweet side. The order came with lettuce and shredded carrots as it should. I noticed they added chili paste in the nuoc mam. Typically most restaurant don't do this and let the patron add it to their own liking. Some people don't like spicy foods. I ordered a large bowl of dac biet pho. The color of the broth was noticeably darker than what I'm used to. The taste was decent though but tasted a little flat. The large portion was very generous with plenty of noodles and a good amount of meats. In fact, I couldn't finish it which probably was partly due to the eggroll appetizer. Definitely not the best I've had but not the worse in the Arlington area. I honestly just glanced at the menu, because I came there specifically to try the pho. I did see that they serve bun rieu and could see myself coming back to try that. I love bun rieu. Customer service was very good. Great option for Pho in Arlington. First time here since they moved. Flavor was good, but felt a little light on the meat, compared to some other places I've been. Staff was fine, no issues there. Watch out in the parking lot! The entrance is steep, and my car bottomed out in the center, HARD. Also, they are doing Sriracha rationing, and don't have bottles on the tables, but they will give you a tiny container of it, if you ask. read more

Nothing too outstanding about this place. It was clean, pho came out fast, broth was good, and staff was nice. Broth was good beefy flavor without being overpowered with anything else really. Meatballs were delicious, rare steak was mediocre, didn't like the tendons and tripe. Still very solid bowl of pho. read more

Pho Pasteur is one of my favorite places to go eat Pho. My go to plate is the vegetable pho with bokchoy and carrots. I have tried different pho places and this one still is my favorite. Last time I was there the owner introduced herself at their new location on Matlock rd. The server was very attentive, and the place itself is nice. I'll definitely go again. read more

We were very limited with restaurants because it was Christmas Day. Fortunately, Pho Pasteur was open. Being the pho lover that I am, we ended up going there. It seemed the most legit out of all the restaurants open. They are located in a strip mall and they have tons of parking. When we walked in, it was 95% Asians dining inside so we felt good about our choice. Customer service was good but it took awhile for the kitchen to get our order all out. The menu is quite diverse but I was there for pho. I ordered #11 Dac Biet Pasteur which is their combination with the rare steak on the side. The soup broth came out hot and there were lots of meat in the bowl. Noodles were cooked well but portion size it wasn't that much noodles. The fresh veggies were on the smaller side as we had to share the small plates of veggies. They also didn't have culantro but maybe they can't get it in the area they are in. Service is good and there's tons of workers doing what they need to do. The inside is nice and has a cute design to it. But this food ?! Is so damn good. The egg rolls are sooooo bombbbb, you don't even need to dip them into the dip. The Dac Biet pho was amazing !!! The kids pho is really cute and has enough to fill my little 8 year old brother up. I went in through the back door on Center St. Don't judge it from there. Go through the front door like most customers do. We arrived just in time before the crowd. I ordered a medium bowl of Pho: rare steak and well-done brisket. My wife ordered a bowl of cold vermicelli noodle with grilled chicken. We like to swap and share. Our bowls arrived quickly. My pho was hot - as it should be. It was also clear. My Vietnamese friend told me that to get clear pho, the broth must be cooled after cooking. The fat that collects at the top is then removed. As many reviewers said, the flavor is great. My wife said it was addictive. It really hits the spot in winter. My wife's vermicelli noodle bowl was just as flavorful. The chicken was well-marinated and tender. I thought it tasted better than mine. It's the perfect warm season dish, so I'll order that next time. The crowd was amazingly diverse. Both in ethnicity and in age. That is a good sign that the food has universal appeal. Even the takeout business was brisk. Considering the staff was older, everything was handled efficiently. The lady at the cashier went around the tables, asking customers how they liked the food, etc. I reminded her to turn on the picture lights so we can see the tasteful paintings with a Vietnamese theme. The background music was gentle guitar songs of The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, etc. One of my favorite places used to play only Vietnamese pop. Yes, I recommend this place.
