I'm a frequent customer of this place and I love their food. The only reason I set the rating to 3 stars is due to their take-out service. They have forgotten items in my take-out orders more than once, which is really disappointing. Just today, I got home after driving 20 minutes just to find out my order of spring rolls wasn't in the bag. I called the restaurant back frantically & I was very upset. The server apologized and said if we can come back they'll make it. So then, my boyfriend had to drive back and forth another 20 minutes! This was SO inconvenient. I honestly wished I was offered some sort of compensation for this inconvenience. All in all, great place to dine. But pls don't trust their take-out. And I understand yes I should've checked, but after a long day and at a time I'm really hungry, I just trust that the restaurant service will give me the order I paid for. read more

Absolutely unacceptable experience. Came for lunch with a friend and ordered pho with filet mignon on the side. My friend is not Asian and doesn't eat food like this often, so he wasn't sure what was okay or not. The order came out wrong, which was fine at first, but everything went downhill after that. One server completely ignored us when we tried to get his attention -- he was right there and chose to pretend we didn't exist. Another server brought out raw beef but refused to bring hot broth to properly cook it, even though our pho was no longer hot. I overheard staff discussing that they didn't want to give us hot soup while my friend was literally trying to eat raw, undercooked beef. It was disgusting to watch and honestly shocking that the staff allowed this to happen. Only after I directly showed them how raw the beef was did they finally bring hot broth. One server ignored us entirely, another denied us hot broth to cook raw beef, and only a third server actually took us seriously. I regret not taking a picture because it was disturbing to watch my friend try to eat meat that was clearly unsafe. The lack of care, communication, and basic food safety was completely unacceptable. read more

We've been to Rice n Roll'd a few times--usually when we're craving spring rolls--and while the food is okay, the service can be really inconsistent. This time, we were seated with menus and then... nothing. The restaurant wasn't crowded and there were plenty of staff around, but no one came back to check on us or take our order. We waited quite a while before Jason, one of the servers (who didn't seat us), finally noticed us and stepped in. Thankfully, Jason was super friendly, apologized for the delay, and promised to take care of us--and he really did. We had some tricky dietary requests, and he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Props to him for saving the experience. The food? It's not bad, not great--just okay. Nothing to rave about, but it gets the job done when you're in the mood for spring rolls or something light. We returned last weekend, and our favorite was the Chicken Chow Fun. The noodles were savory, seared, thick, chewy, and full of umami flavor. I've had plenty of chow fun at other places, but these were the best. The bits of chicken were small and didn't add much to the flavor. There were also green onions and peppers for some added crunch, all topped with plenty of cilantro. I also had the Pho with meatballs. I mostly sipped on the broth since I was full of appetizers and Chow Fun. The broth hit the spot, and I was also happy with the abundance of Thai basil. The place I usually go to for Pho is stingy with their basil. The servers mostly left us alone but quickly gave us the napkins and to-go boxes we requested. It's casual, clean, and inviting. If I come back again I'd like to try the grilled pork spring rolls. The shrimp and pork spring rolls were average. Their peanut sauce was fabulous and so happy they give you plenty of it. They get bonus stars for that. The things we weren't crazy about was the chicken fried rice was lacking. Very bland and not enough flavor or salt. We added soy sauce to give it more flavor. We ordered the grilled pork over rice and a special combonation with filet mignon, the meat was really soft and easy to eat, same with the pork, both extremely tasteful. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and seated right away. The server was super attentive, and checked on us a fair amount of times, making sure we had water or if we needed anything. We tried the Bánh Mì Gà Nướng (grilled chicken sandwich) - The chicken and pickled veggies were super flavorful which made it a 10/10 for me Chicken pho - flavorful, delicious as well. I made the mistake of ordering the large size, HUMONGOUS lol. But flavor wise, def 10/10. Lastly I ordered the combination chow mein for my daughter (5 and 3 year olds) they loved it! Devoured the whole plate. I will say for the price of the chow mein I expected a bigger plate, but it didn't take away the tastiness. This place will get you sick. Gloves doesn't equal sanitary. They wear it to keep THEIR hands clean, it doesn't prevent cross contamination when they're never changed. The chili oil is old and will give you gastroenteritis. Are the vegetables washed before being served? Is the broth freshly made? The place seems small but it works and there were only a few empty tables so busy I would say. The time they gave me to wait wasn't even the time it took. The pros: huge bowl of broth, noodles, and meats, perfect for a starving person. The cons: broth was a bit bland even with the added lime and herbs and the bowl was overwhelmed by tripe. I tried my friend's bun bo hue which had much better flavor than what I ordered but unfortunately, the meats were really tough and inedible. Dropped by here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were quickly seated as and the restaurant was not very busy. I've been here before and usually order a vermicelli bowl but I thought I'd try something new. For our group, we ended up ordering the grilled beef spring roll, grilled pork spring roll and the shrimp spring rolls as appetizers. The spring rolls came out pretty quickly and were very good. The spring rolls were good size and with a nice peanut sauce accompaniment. The grilled beef was my favorite, but the pork was excellent as well along with the the shrimp spring roll. This is where I feel that this restaurant really shines. I ordered the bun bo hue and my wife ordered the pho. The pho smelled really good when it came out, but it had way too many noodles. The noodle to broth ratio was off, and although the noddles are very filling more of the broth would have made it a much better bowl. I've never tried bun bo hue before, so I don't really have much of a reference point besides what I've seen in videos and pictures previously. The noodles were somewhat thick and very soft. Again, I think they probably put too many noodles but definitely not as much as in the pho. The soup was loaded with sauage and different cuts of meat which was good. I was a bit surprised that it was not spicy at all even though it's supposed to be a spicy soup. The flavor was good, but it lacked the spiciness I was looking for. To be fair, they brought some slices jalapenos that you can use to adjust the heat I just was expecting it to already be spicy. The cabbage that they brought along with the limes and jalapenos was not fresh at all however. I left that in the bag, because it looked kinda gross. Overall, I'm not super impressed with their soups and probably would not return here for the Pho or Bun Bo Hue. The spring rolls are really good though, and I'll definitely grab these as to go items. read more
