The food here was delicious! Great atmosphere. Good for groups. The server we had was excellent- he was kind and went above and beyond. I have a coworker who has severe dietary restrictions and they were so kind with working with him until they got it right. I enjoyed the shrimp Pad Thai. The flavors were balanced- not too sweet. I got extra crushed peanuts- delicious! They also gave us free green tea cheesecake since we were celebrating 2 birthdays. I would definitely return!

A takeout seafood pad see ew with a massive mussel and scallop and a beautiful amount of squid? Say no more. I will be back soon.

"One million!" Food, ambiance, and especially service were phenomenal. As we entered the establishment, we were greeted with a welcoming smile. The menu had plenty options but not too overwhelming. I don't enjoy spicy food AT ALL; and enjoyed my level 1 Yellow Curry dish! The hubby loves spice and his level 6 Basil Fried Rice was delicious. Presentation of each course amplified the entire experience. PS make sure you try the Thai Lemonade Tea

Dined in a party of 3 on a Tuesday around 6pm. We were one of three tables occupying the restaurant. The ambiance was quiet and inviting with light music, plenty of wood tones, and lots of plants. Our server was prompt and friendly and the food and drinks we ordered came out quickly. I enjoyed the dancing shrimp and spring rolls. Both were crunchy and VERY hot when they came out. I ordered my pad thai a level 5/10 spicy and it packed some serious heat. I like to think I can handle a medium level of spice, but this was slightly above that. My mom's drunken noodles were a 5/10 too, but we could barely taste the spice. My brother had the crab fried rice, also a 5/10, and his was just as spicy as mine. The flavors were great, but I think we'd drop down to a 4 to enjoy the food a little more next time. I thought the prices were a little high, but the quality was superb.

Stopped by here for lunch with a large group and the restaurant was able to accommodate us quickly. Needless to say, the interior was spacious and the decor was lovely with orchid flowers, hanging lights, traditional Asian style art, along more whimsical, modern artwork. For my drink, I got the Thai Iced Coffee yummy and creamy, though a bit overly sweet with less coffee flavor. The menu was quite extensive and I was having a hard time choosing between Dancing Crab and Corn Fried Rice ($26) and Sizzling Seafood ($26). I finally went with the Crab Fried Rice because I've been craving it. This consisted of Jumbo lump Crab, fresh corn, and savory Thai basil sauce. My dish was the last to come out, and it was nicely presented in a round shape on the plate. There was plenty of crab and I could taste that it was true crab. The rice and corn were cooked to perfection, but I would have liked more basil sauce, as I felt like the dish was a bit dry. Service was solid. Our waiter was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. If I get a chance to return, I would like to try the Drunken Noodle or Duck Curry.

The food here was very flavorful. Service was super slow though. Restroom was a hike downstairs and was a bit dirty/old. The restaurant was cute and adorned with Thai elements such as elephants and fresh flowers on the table. The beef salad was wonderful! Beef was tender and the sauce was citrusy and refreshing. The eggplant with chicken was good, but reminded me more of Chinese food. The chicken satay was delicious. Cooked nicely while retaining softness and the dipping sauce was yummy. The curry was just okay and more on the sweet side. The rice came out in the shape of a heart-shaped- so cute.

Pretty big portions, ambience is nice inside, not that many customers so you'll likely get a table walk in but with big groups do reservation so you can get the long one. We came in 12 people and they fit us 6, 6 two diff tables on the spot but was kinda a hassle, understandably. Food was amazing- good pad see ew, really good yellow curry. Spice varies by dish but I'd say the spicy was very delicious- I'd try to go as high as you can. Had a really fun time here.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dancing Crab Thai Noodle House! I stopped in with a coworker for lunch on 3/19 and our server was so sweet. We each got a Thai tea, pad thai, and split the edamame. The food came in a generous portion (even the lunch size!) and you are able to pick how spicy you would like the pad thai. They make their own chili oil which was so fragrant and delicious. I also loved how descriptive the menu was about each of their dishes. The ambiance of restaurant was absolutely stunning with the cutest chalkboard art and beautiful fresh flowers at each table. I cannot emphasize how sweet our server was, I would go back just to talk more with him, so the amazing food and beautiful decor were the icing on the cake!

The food was great! The atmosphere leaves something to be desired. Note that their spice scale goes from 1-10; I chose a 5 and it was still pretty spicy for me. They do seem to be understaffed, but the service was ok. Great tom kha!

With so many Thai options in Pittsburgh, it's tough to know which ones are the best and Dancing Crab easily tops the list. I think every Thai restaurant in pgh is good for different things and I think Dancing Crab has the best fried rice in the area. Stopped in w a couple friends and we had such a great time. The family who owns the establishment could not have been kinder and the service is always amazing. Their Thai tea is the best in the city and is, of course, delicious. Every person I've taken here has said that they can't wait to come back. I opted for the pineapple fried rice with tofu, you can choose between a couple different protein options but I wasn't really in the mood to eat meat. My friend got the same fried rice but with chicken and loved it. You will be asked what spice level you'd like your food and ONLY get the higher levels if you truly like spicy food. That might seem pretty self explanatory but I learned my lesson the hard way since the levels are a bit spicier than you think it would be. It's out of a scale of 10 and I opted for a 2.5. As someone who loves spicy food I felt like this was actually like a 4-5 so this was perfect for me. The portions are large so I had enough food for lunch the next day. I thought the rice was perfect and there was enough of each topping in my fried rice. Such a cute spot and I hope they get the busy business they deserve. You won't regret stopping by!

First and foremost I am shocked at the bad reviews I've read and feel that most of them stem from long ago or just a bad day? Because my experience was amazing, outstanding, down right phenomenal! Chef Lek and her team are gracious, warm and welcoming. They walked us through the menu being new guests and made sure we felt comfortable with several items from our experience in Thai cuisine. We were here based on reviews from https://www.instagram.com/ana.eats.pgh?igsh=MXZzcnk3bGJxaDYyMQ== This woman knows good food, and she knows that this is a gem amongst many in this great city. Can't wait to come back and try more!!

Street parking available. The atmosphere was cozy with dim lighting and neat features along the wall. We got the vegetable tom kha soup and edamame for appetizers. The soup was so flavorful; would highly recommend! It's hard to go wrong with edamame. These ones had garlic, which was a nice addition. For our entree, we got pad Thai noodles with beef (spice level 2) and they hit the spot. Full of flavor and nice size portions. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. An easy, reliable decision for a weeknight meal or date night.

My friend and I dined there on July 4th. I got the Pad See Ew - noodles were soft yet springy, and the spicy / smoky / garlicky flavor of the dish is like nothing you get anywhere else. I am also not usually a dessert person, but this visit, I made an exception. The mango coconut ice cream with the sticky rice was a very special treat, particularly on this hot and muggy day. I don't even normally love mango, but yesterday I did. Just perfect, can't ask for more. Five stars.

They served my friend chicken and insisted that it was pork! He doesn't eat chicken!! Story time!! We were in town for the Marathon weekend and tried to make a last minute resy. We got seated outside which was fine cuz we understand it was last minute). It was 40s outside and no heater in place... People seemed to come here for special events (we saw many grad parties or birthdays and date nights). We ordered noodles and curries. Huge portions that could serve 2 people per entree (or 1 very hungry runner per entree, which was the case for us). The food was tasty HOWEVER WE WERE GASLIT! My friend ordered his dish with pork and after a bite or two he realized it was chicken. We asked the waitress to send it back and she insisted it was pork (by this photo you can tell the top right dish's protein is the same as the chicken in the 2 curries...) and insisted that we were confused with curt demeanor... Service wise, we had multiple different waiters/ waitresses, one person seating us, another taking our order, another delivering the food, another filling the water, so it was very hard to communicate our concerns because it was one big telephone game. We didn't like the service, the outdoors dining area was cute and NOISY so don't plan on having conversations there. Parking was easy enough there were multiple garages nearby. Overall tasty food but we got the ick after being gaslit so probably won't come back.

We had a horrible culinary experience the past couple of days driving through West Virginia, Ohio, and western New York. Pittsburgh was our last stop before heading home and Kiin Lao and Thai Eatery made up for all of the culinary disappointment this weekend. Let's talk about the ambiance first. Everything about this restaurant was quite beautiful. When I say beautiful, I don't mean it in an elegant way, but an artsy street vibe way. It is hip, clean, and we'll put together. You can tell a lot of love went into the decorations and into every piece of art on its walls. The service was pretty good. The server herself was attentive when needed and left us alone when needed. The food was AWESOME. We got the papaya combo with the Thum Mak Houng option, curry puffs, grilled pork shoulder with sticky rice, and Pad Gra Prow Street Style. The papaya was "lao-style" made with fermented shrimp paste. If you love deep umami flavors, this is it for you. The papaya salad was pungent and sour and savory spicy and just so satisfying. We asked for a 6/10 spiciness and they came with the heat. The chicken skewers that came with it was flavorful too. A little bit of char on the chicken would've brought it over the top. The curry puffs were so comforting and had that south Asian flavor profile that was very welcomed. The curry and spice blend did not overwhelm the potatoes. Instead it enhanced the earthy potato flavors in the best way possible. The menu said that it came with a cucumber sauce but I don't think we got that. What we got was a more like a honey sauce. The sauce was good in itself but didn't pair well with the puffs. The grilled pork shoulder was delectable. The meat was tender and it was seasoned perfectly. Again, more char on the meat would've brought it to a new level. The only gripe I have with this order was the sticky rice. The amount of sticky rice you get with it was so small I thought it was a joke initially. Nope, it was not! I thought the Pad Gra Prow Street Style was OKAY. I would've made it a little saucier. Despite this, my significant other absolutely LOVED it. Pad Gra Prow was my significant other's favorite dish when she lived overseas. She said that this was the best Pad Gra Prow she has had on this side of the world. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We would definitely come by again when we are back this way.
