First impression is this place is out of date and and dirty. Broth flavor was ok in flavor. Temperature was on the cool side, should be served hotter. Fried egg rolls was not that great. Service was poor. We requested water when placed our order. We were near the end of our food when we wanted to drink, yet no water. Asked again for water from the male that took our order and brought our food. He said ok, proceeded to the table he was cleaning, finished that, then brought tap water without ice by the completion of our meal. I would not come here again. This is minutes from my home, but I will continue to drive 30 minutes away to have better tasting food with great service. Waste of time and money. read more

I live in Houston where is the best Vietnamese food. I am visiting my friend who lives in Spanaway. It is very disappointed when I have Vietnamese food around her area. I am so happy about Pho Saigon Garden because it is very authentic. The important thing is the owner is very nice, friendly and welcoming. I absolutely love the pho at this location, the broth is amazing and full of flavor, very close to what we get in Thailand or Vietnam on the streets! The waiter was very helpful and brought lots of extra veggies that go on the side. They serve tea for free and bring it while you're waiting. Service was very quick. I haven't tried anything much besides the pho, once I got the race wrap appetizer, they are delicious and very large so it also works as a small meal. The peanut sauce is one of my favorites of all places I get this from, but beyond that I haven't tried anything else , as I usually get pho because it's so delicious. I have been eating Pho in the Seattle area since the 1980s. I have also eaten it in Vietnam, Orange County's Little Saigon and at a Vietnamese friend's home. In my humble opinion, the beef broth at Pho Saigon Garden is THE best. Why? It has what I'd call a "clean and fresh" taste. Taste the broth before adding additional condiments and you'll know what I mean. Paul is a great host. LOVE the owner, Paul. He was very welcoming and super nice. They close at 9pm and I got there at 8:05 and they were still willing to serve me. I love the fact that some of the tables have the computer chairs because those types of chairs are super comfy to me. As for the food, one of thee BEST bánh mì sandwiches ever. Hong Kong in federal way is my favorite and this place is right there with Hong Kong. The pho was okay but definitely one of my top favorites. The broth tasted a little too oily for me but Paul did let me know if I don't like their pho, it would be free. But all in all, it was still good. I have yet to try the egg rolls that I ordered to go for me and my bf but physically they already look so good & Paul gave me one extra. I gave this place 4/5 because I think I was overcharged by a couple dollars. I did notice AFTER leaving that the menu does say they have a little fee charge for to go orders, every dish when it's dinner time & when using debit/credit-- wasn't a fan of that because every after all those fees, I was still overcharged by a little. Id love to give this place 5 stars but after the to go order I just had Ill never be back. Soup I got was COLD, then I had to cook my own beef, had to put the bowl in the microwave idk how many times then the noodles are hard. It's disgusting and Im pissed I just wasted 20$. I am from Houston and visited Seattle for the weekend. I was looking for a pho place and found this place on yelp. First I was hesitant, but since they were open at 10 am we went anyway. All I can said is WOW. The pho is sooo good, especially the broth. It's like home cooked pho. Y'all just have to try it once. My wife and I stopped here on the way to the airport going back to Las Vegas. The owner Paul served us. We asked what we should get, and he said don't worry I will make you a special meal. Pho Saigon is the best! We'd been looking for our go-to pho place since moving to Des Moines and we don't have to look anymore! The pho is spectacular, especially the ox tail! And their spring rolls are a must, especially with their sauces, the spicy one is the best IMO. And I'm burying the lead a little, Paul is the main attraction, he owns the place and is the main server as well, and he does an amazing job of hosting and conversing, helping with order recommendations and just overall enthusiasm and entertainment. I guess this spot has been around here for a while and the owners have developed many regulars due to their hospitality. I can attest that they are very nice and welcoming. I'm Vietnamese, I love Vietnamese food, I crave it, and I need it. Just moved into the area and apparently this is the only Vietnamese dining area other than my kitchen within the 5 mile radius. I was pleasantly surprised that although the portion was small for a large, the pho broth was actually tasty and full of flavor. If you try to order anything else, good luck! Their fanbase in the area are mainly non-Vietnamese and they have accommodated their kitchen to that community. Nothing wrong with it, but when I'm looking for some good traditional meals, I'll need to drive further. They don't cook special menu items like Bun Bo Hue very often because, well no one orders them. Even though it's still on their menu. Stick to their pho! It's probably their best item. read more

The 2 stars is not because of the food. The food was good. My rating is based on the current climate and being extremely disappointed when I see the workers not wearing any sort of masks or facial covering. It was compounded by the fact that the owner coughed without covering his mouth and their tables were not set up for any sort of social distancing.
