Visited this restaurant on a Friday afternoon for lunch and it wasn't busy. They have a lot of menu options to choose from, i opted for the hu tieu seafood pho, bahn xeo, & egg rolls. The sauce they provided for the eggs rolls was delicious it was like a less spicy version of crack sauce. The bahn xeo was crispy and packed with beansprouts and shrimp and pork and it was super delicious I'd recommend this! The seafood pho however the broth was really bland the house made chili oil on the counter made it taste better but was disappointed. The restaurant itself was quite spacious and had tons of seating like booths or tables. It also located in a plaza where there is tons of parking. Def try checking this place out!

Giving back a 5 star now that the ownership has changed and both experience of my recent visits, dining in and take out orders were really good! The last dine in service was excellent. Server were attentive and food was up to par with some of the pho restaurants I tried. My recent take out order was the crab meat tomato base soup w pho and curry chicken pho along with shrimp/pork rice paper roll and tri color drink. Highly recommend all of the above. In my opinion, the lights in the restaurant is a bit too bright for me. Also another pro is if you use the Bilt card, this restaurant is listed as x 5 on points.

I ordered takeout from Pho Saigon and had their bun bo hue with short rib along with the fried fish cake. Both were really delicious. The short rib was tender and flavorful. The fried fish cake was a great side that paired well with the meal. My only small note is that I thought the bun bo hue broth could have used a little more shrimp paste for a deeper, more authentic kick of flavor. Still I really enjoyed everything overall. Next time I'll definitely come back and dine in to experience it fresh from the kitchen.

Pretty decent pho place in Pleasanton area and we had ordered 2 large phos - chicken and seafood and both tasted good; it's long time we had pho so this was refresher. Specially the seafood one had lot of options - fish balls, shrimp, scallops etc , had to put lot of sauces to make this nice and spicy.

Dined in today as I think I have tried almost every pho restaurant in Pleasanton- but I saw that I haven't tried this place yet! Inside is pretty spacious, and we came in around mid-day so there was only one other table dining as well. Saw the pictures of food on Yelp and they all looked delicious! My boyfriend and I both got the vermicelli noodles and we shared spring rolls and chicken wings. The food was pretty good and I especially liked the spring rolls! Since it wasn't busy the staff were sitting down and chatting to each other. The best thing however was the Vietnamese coffee! My boyfriend said it was one of the best viet coffees he has had and it's true! It's delicious and we recommend everyone trying it!

Recently tried this place for the first time and enjoyed a late night dinner. I ordered Bún riêu and my partner ordered Bún bò Huế. Our soups were nice and hot and full of flavor. Very authentic meal and I love the variety on their menu. The regular sized portion is super filling. Great customer service as well. Will definitely be back!

Met my friend here for dinner. She loves eating at this spot. Lots of parking in the plaza it's located in and the place has ample seating. Now I've been raised by pho all throughout San Jose and I have yet to come across any spot close to the quality and taste of the ones in San Jose. Maybe one. It's too hot to try their pho so I decided on something else. My friend had a rice plate and I tried their crispy crepe. My friend also had fried egg rolls which I find a bit bland. Of course my friend enjoyed her dish cause it's her usual grilled pork and fried chicken wings. The crepe was okay. I liked it. I really was in the mood for banh cuon but not many pho spots including this one serves it. They have good service as they do check on you occasionally. Just not a fan of feeling rushed to order. I have yet to try their pho. I'll have to try during the chilly season.

After all the holiday eating, my husband and I were in the mood for something Asian. We decided on the crispy Vietnamese savory crepe and the Garlic noodles with pork. In general, I am not a big bean sprouts fan but really enjoyed the crepe. The bean sprouts were fresh and the crepe was really light and crunchy though it could have used a little more shrimp. The garlic noodles were ok though the pork was a bit chewy. Service was fast and efficient. My husband was excited to see egg noodles on the menu so we will definitely be back to try their noodle soups.

Bun Rieu is our go to for Pho Saigon Restaurant! The rice plates are all very good too: usually very hard to choose from. There is plenty of parking. Service was quick and spot on. Ambiance is casual. We like the new seats comparing to when it first opened. Will come again.

She has terrible customer service skills, she does not acknowledge you, and she does not treat her customers fairly.

Service is TRASH!! The food is good, which is why I gave it 2 stars. Otherwise, I would've given it 1 or none cause the service was soooooo terrible. My family felt so unwelcome and was not acknowledged whatsoever. We walked in and were immediately seated as there were ONLY 5 tables of guest. After being seated and had time to browse the menu, the young lady decided to take the order of a couple sitting behind us whom were seated 5-7 minutes after we were seated. I gave her eye contact as she was walking past our table but she failed to acknowledge us so I said "excuse me.. is anyone going to come take our order?" As I was confused why she sat us, then sat the couple behind us 5-7 minutes after yet decides to ask what they would like to order first -__- Anyways, our order was taken after grabbing her attention so I was hoping that was a 1 off incident so I'd let it go but NOPE... I ordered #18 (BBH with Oxtail) for myself and 4 bites into it, I found a long hair wrapped around an oxtail!! I raised my hand politely for her to let the same young lady know. She took the bowl from my table and says she'll take a look. No apologies at all. She took it to another worker and they began inspecting the hair at the table before she took it back into the kitchen. Strike 2!!! Shortly after, they brought a new bowl out for me but no condiments, no herbs, lime or jalepeno... so again I had to wave my hand to ask her for it. She game back with only cabbage and herb but no lime or jalepeno At this point, I said forget it, I'll just deal with it and eat it as it was my first meal of the day at 2pm and was starving. What ticked me off to proceed with this review was the end, STRIKE 3!!! We were treated SOOOO UNFAIRLY. We sat there after our meal for 5-10 minute and no one acknowledges us.. my mom walks to the front counter to ask for the check, the young lady hands her the check, and my mom goes back to the table with it. We sat there for 5 minutes and no one comes to acknowledge again, so my sister decided to approach the young lady again and says we have the check ready, she then asked my sister to follow her to the front counter to make the payment. The payment was done and my sister leaves to the restroom before we head out. A few minutes later, she walks over to the table next to us with a payment machine, and I allowed the man see it next to us to make the payment at his table! Why was that option not given to us?? Why were we not acknowledged!! SOOOO INFURIATING. This girl need to work on her customer service. This reason, I would never come back and would not recommend to any family or friends. If only I had a camera recording this entire visit... this is the young lady you DO NOT want service from.

Customer service was wonderful. Appetizers especially the spring roll was delicious it had a crunch in there from crispy egg roll wrapper that made it crunchy and I was pleasantly surprised. My kids love shrimp rolls too and those didn't last. Oxtail pho and rib pho was the reason we chose this place on a cold day after playing sports. Although it's not my favorite spot the oxtail could've been more tender it wasn't fall off the bone tender and the soup lacked flavor, too bland. I felt like I had to add so much spice to doctor it up and I never add seasoning sauce to mine but I did here. Wouldn't come back for the soup but would come back for appetizers and customer service. Maybe they need to make more soup and have it sit all day to tenderize and get more beef flavor.

    Is this place permanently closed?

I personally have my doubts due to the fact I sort of know the owner and she remodeled and try to open up this current spot. Sadly I think it's just a bad set of events that lead up to temporary closure. If I recall, what set off the first time was…

    Do they have Banh Mi?

Didn't see it being offered in their current menu.

Appears to be family centric, so a few people working but food came out relatively fast. Walked in on a Sunday at 12pm with no wait. Food wise, we ordered the cashew beef, chicken pad se yew, and the beef noodle soup. All were great. Cashew beef was tender, plenty of vegetables, and sauce is savory/tart that works great with the white rice. Pad se yew, noodles were cooked well with some bite and sauce matches what you expect for a pad se yew. Beef noodle soup was the surprise for me. Was balanced, subtle spicy without being too much, and hit a spot I needed a day after going out with friends. Parking can be difficult as it's in a popular shppping mall. We paid roughly $50 for 3 items and tip. Portions are big enough to take food home. Will add this to our list of places to rotate.

This review is specifically about the front-of-house service, not the kitchen. When I ordered a dish without fish sauce, I had to repeat the request, and the server reacted with visible irritation instead of simply confirming it. The bigger issue was with my friend's beef dish. It didn't arrive even after every other dish at the table had been served. When we asked about it, we were told repeatedly that it was "coming," with no explanation and no apology for the wait. At one point, the server asked if we wanted to cancel it instead of addressing the delay. When it finally arrived, it was chicken, not beef. When my friend pointed out the mistake, she insisted that's what we'd ordered, which we firmly disputed. Rather than resolving it, she seemed more interested in getting us to leave than fixing the order. We ended up canceling the dish and left. Good food can only carry a restaurant so far. Customer service is a core part of the dining experience, and what we encountered was dismissive, unprofessional, and completely lacking in accountability. A simple apology or effort to correct the mistake would have gone a long way, but instead we were met with irritation and pushback. I'd happily recommend the kitchen here, but until the front-of-house service improves, I can't recommend the overall experience. I won't be returning.

We had the purple-colored Ube Pancakes and the Khao Hom Waffle, which contained strips of fresh coconut meat, and both beautifully-plated dishes were topped with berries and syrup. I was an even bigger fan of the Thai side of the menu, starting with the Papaya Salad, a refreshing, crunchy mixture of shredded papaya, green beans, tomatoes, and crushed peanut in a spicy, sweet, acidic dressing made of fish sauce and lime. For our mains, the Northern Thai Khao Soi was a noodle soup made of egg noodles and chicken breast strips in a rich coconut curry, topped with crispy egg noodles, pickled cabbage, and fried shallots. From the Chef's Special menu, the Tom Yum Crab Omelet was a mound of jasmine rice enveloped with an egg omelet, topped with chunks of crab, mushrooms, and a creamy tom yum sauce; and my favorite dish was the Roti Gai Tod, a hearty combination of breaded chicken thigh, roti (a flaky flatbread), cucumber salad, jasmine rice, and a mild but flavorful yellow curry sauce on the side. Overall, everything we tried here was delicious, and the service was super quick and friendly too! Tom Yum Crab Omelette- the best one to get since it has creamy tom yum sauce, a soft omelette, drizzled with a slice of lime, and crab meat with a few mushroom slices on top of fluffy rice. They should add Thai Tea pancakes to their menu with housemade Thai Tea syrup to make it more fusion. Pad Kee Mao w/ Chicken- I regret ordering this because the string beans were half raw, the tofu was dry, and the dish was a bit spicy. The waitresses were fast and efficient, and the restaurant was nice and spacious.
