If you're craving pho in Dublin, this spot is a solid choice. It's located in a plaza with plenty of parking, so getting in and out is easy. Inside, the space is clean, roomy, and has a modern take on a classic mom‑and‑pop feel. I've tried both the egg rolls & spring rolls and while they're not standout dishes, they're definitely enjoyable and satisfy the craving. The dipping sauce leans on the saltier side. My usual order is the pho with steak, tendon, and tripe. The protein quality is good--nothing exceptional, but the broth is what keeps me coming back. It's darker than most pho broths and whatever they do in the cooking process gives it a deeper, richer flavor. Someone in my party also tried the bun bo hue, which they described as just okay. It could use more spice and umami to give it more depth. One thing I appreciate is that utensils and condiments are readily available and not prepackaged, so you can adjust everything to your liking. Pho Dublin has become our local, go-to Vietnamese place whenever we want savory, sweet grilled shrimp, pork, or chicken. Our 5yo son is addicted to their grilled shrimp. Its likely marinated with lemongrass, ginger and fish sauce but what really stands out is the slightly sweet taste from either honey or sugar. The grilling caramelizes the sugar so you get a sweet, crispy crust. He can feat all the shrimp from the shrimp rice plate, extra side of 5 grilled shrimp, and the two extra shrimp pieces from my combo bun. Besides their awesome shrimp, I also recommend their grilled pork vermicelli with egg roll and bonus shrimp. Nice balance of savory meats, pickled veggies, and rice noodles seasoned with clear fish sauce. The wife is a fan of their Combo Pho #19, which comes only in large or extra large. The broth is sweet and savory and bot overly salty. Beef is often served rare (ideal since it'll cook in the broth), and you can omit squiggly tripe if that's not your thing. Note they also serve banh mi sandwiched and have a while array of Vietnamese Coffees, Boba Teas, and other fruity drinks. read more

This was our first time trying this place, and we ordered through DoorDash. It arrived with the broth in a separate container, a plastic bag with cilantro, lemon, and sauces, and another container with rice noodles and veggies. We combined everything into a bowl with the broth, and it was delicious. I would love to visit the restaurant in person soon--I think the experience would be even better dining there. At home, it was a little difficult putting everything together. I'm giving four stars because the packaged sauces were placed in the same bag as the cut lemons and cilantro. Pho Dublin is my favorite place to get a comforting bowl of pho when I'm in Dublin! The restaurant is small, but with enough tables to accommodate a lunch rush, and I've never had to wait for a table. Service is fast and friendly, and the ambiance is quiet for it being on the corner of San Ramon Rd. & Amador Valley Rd. The pho broth is flavorful without being fatty, and the noodles have always been perfectly cooked. I love the freshness of the herbs and bean sprouts. There are your usual condiments of sriracha and hoisin sauce, as well as chili oil, which I always add to my pho. The various meats are tender and not overcooked. They only have two sizes, large and extra large. I get the large, and it is the perfect portion for me. I've had the beef stew noodle soup in the past as well, and that is also pretty good. However, the BBH is not it though, and I've had a ton of good bowls of BBH, so I know what I'm looking for. The flavor is just not there, so stick to ordering pho. In addition, I have not ordered the rice plates or other items, so I cannot attest to the flavor of their other dishes. Not shown in my photos are their drinks, which I have also tried in the past. My family and I wanted to get some noodle soup before shopping. We decided try out this restaurant. There was a good amount of seating and the staff were attentive and kind. We got the Pho Combo Special and Grilled Pork Shrimp Shredded Pork Egg Cake Egg Rice Plate. The food was delicious. I love the noodle in the pho! The meats were very tender. I'm so glad we came back!! Before covid, this used to be my family and is go to place for pho in addition to a couple other locations in our rotation. A couple years ago, they gained new management and we returned for their soft opening and we were not the biggest fans of the new flavors they served and never came back. My family and I recently returned and oh my gosh am I happy to report that our love for this restaurant has been restored! The food was absolutely delicious! The pho broth is a little on the sweet side which was not an issue for us. We ordered chicken wings, fried egg rolls and spring rolls and eventually placed an additional order for the chicken wings because they were so delicious!! Everything tasted so good! The wait staff were attentive and because were Vietnamese food lovers, ordering was super easy. The ambiance was very nice, like what I remember just a little updated! The BBH broth was flavorful, medium spicy, and pairs well with the noodles, beef and ham. Their large size was appropriately sized, and left me happily satisfied. However, I would not recommend the BBH here. It's spicy, sweet, and just doesn't taste like BBH (my mom is from Hue so I should know!). Everything was off from the broth to the noodles and even the dumplings were sub par. Gf found a hair in her soup, we pretty much just stopped at that point. We came for dinner on a Sunday before 7 and there were plenty of tables. We got the usual pho combo xl. It was huge and could feed 2-3 people We also got the egg roll which was very crispy. The minus one star is that they charge $0.50 for a box! So we were charged $1. And we have to get taxed and tipped on the boxes as well which I didn't like. read more

Me and some co workers were craving some pho after work. We stopped at this location Sunday evening. I'm not sure why the rating so low. The service was good we got greeted and seated pretty quick. I would say it was less than 5 minutes of walking into the restaurant. The ambiance was nice. Felt very authentic and felt like I was in Vietnam. The staff was super nice and welcoming. The waitress gave out amazing recommendations for phos and appetizers. During the whole dining experience, the waitress checked up on us pretty often. My water glass was refilled often. Very good customer service from this restaurant. I ordered the combination pho and also order the fried calamari as an appetizer. The food came to our table super fast. The pho was very flavorful and everything inside the bowl was great. The calamari was super crispy. The peppers and onions that came with the calamari really complimented it. The sweet and sour sauce really put the box on top, super tasty. Overall I give this restaurant a 4/5 star review, the service was nice and the food was delicious. Definitely will be returning to this restaurant when I am nearby and craving some delicious pho and calamari! read more

Solid Vietnamese food in the TriValley. They have a cleaner, more modern look after they rebranded (maybe a change in ownership?) and I felt comfortable taking a friend there for her birthday lunch. We ordered spring rolls as our appetizer - these were soft and springy with a thick and flavorful peanut sauce to accompany them. I'd come back just for the sauce! For our entrées, she opted for the wonton soup, and I went for the grilled pork banh mi. She enjoyed her soup but could not finish it (even the regular portion was quite large), but I finished off my delicious sandwich, including any crumbs and daikon that fell onto the plate! Service was efficient, and parking tight but available. Bathrooms were functional. So happy we have a solid banh mi joint in our corner of the TriValley. Will be back! read more

I got the vegetarian pho with veggie broth. It happens to be vegan. The veggies were all raw (carrots and broccoli) and the broth I didn't really like that much. I also got the shrimp spring rolls. They were two long spring rolls which kind of made it hard to eat. It came with peanut sauce but I didn't like their peanut sauce that much. Buttery, garlicky, hint of oyster sauce, caramelized onions but didn't notice any cheese - good flavor but will opt for a different protein as the fried chicken with the buttery noodles made it a bit rich...a grilled shrimp or some shaken beef would be a good option for next time. Came here for the first time today, I always passed by and finally had the chance to try it. The service is amazing, they quickly took my order and the food came out after a few minutes. I had ordered the Bun Bo Hue and Pho Dac Biet. The Bun Bo Hue broth was good but the noodles were extremely overcooked. The Pho Dac Biet was more on the sweet side but didn't have a lot of flavor. Pretty good pho spot that definitely has a nostalgic aspect, especially since I've been eating here since I was young. Servers were friendly (spoke Cantonese) and the price is pretty reasonable. Food (8/10) - I think the food is pretty good here. The soup has a nice depth of flavor but I have definitely tried better. There was a nice saltiness but I think the flavor was perhaps not as rich as some of the other places I've tried before. I think my biggest complaint about this place is that their bowls are really small. Don't let the large or the X-large fool you. There is actually a relatively small portion of noodles and overall, not as full as I would be from other place. I think the tradeoff is the price per bowl is generally less expensive ($16 vs. $20). Service (8/10) - Super friendly people here! When they heard me and my grandma speaking Canto, they helped us in the language we were most comfortable in which was very much appreciated! I believe that this is under new ownership from several years ago. The beef bahn mi was as i hoped. A crispy bread, but light and fluffy inside. The sandwich has the beautiful combination of flavors featuring a sweet, sour, and spicy component, the vegetables bring a nice freshness and texture . The staff is kind and there is ample seating. The egg rolls were still delish but smaller than before lockdown. The matcha smoothie was also still yummy but cup wasn't filled to the brim of the dome lid. Thankfully, they didn't skimp on the matcha flavor. Service was great. The young man smiled and made eye contact. He was attentive without hovering. Too bad the pho dac biet was not as good as the pre-pandemic version. The large was previously the small size. The portion and type of beef was a bit off. There was lot of tough sliced beef that I think was flank. There was also a different kind of beef slice (maybe brisket?) with 3 layers including a thin middle strip of yellowish (maybe?) cartilage and trailing lacy fat. There were 2 meatballs of indifferent quality and no tripe or tendon to be found. Note, I did find one small piece of tendon, about the size of a Tootsie roll, when I ate the leftovers. The fresh basil was browning. Meanwhile the soup was not slurpable. It was thin on beef flavor and barely had any aromatics. Had to doctor up the broth with plenty of sriracha and hoisin.
