Best Burmese food in town and always reliable whether dining or to go. Recently had the tea leaf salad and the super yummy basil and dried chilli lamb and thoroughly enjoyed it. Cheers for many more orders!

A pretty good Burmese place! My only complaint too much soy and fish sauce in "lemongrass chicken"! We have went there as a family, there were four of us! The okra and egg curry was very good, there were two eggs each halved and okras. I like okra, if I have to be bit critique, I would say some pieces of okras are bit dry!! Now the lemongrass chicken was very good but the only problem is the amount of soy and fish sauce there! It's drenched! The other dishes are very good as well! The rice pudding with "mango" ice cream was delicious. The reason the "mango" was in quotes as it was not mango. A peach maybe, but definitely not mango! Overall pretty good, I like Burmese food in general! Will visit again!

Love it! Order garlic noodle, pork curry and samosa salad. What a great combination!! Will go back again to try the rest

Chicken, beef, and lamb are halal here, which is great for those with dietary restrictions. I ordered the basil chili beef, which was extremely tender and flavorful. I was surprised to see how quickly the food is served, my plate of steaming hot and fresh food was on my plate within 10 minutes of the order. The parking is a little bit tight in the parking lot, and the service was relatively fast and easy. Overall, I would recommend the basil chili beef, and I also tried what others on my table had ordered and their food was also delicious. They ordered the chicken pad Thai, the lamb curry, and the palata appetizer and you can't go wrong with either of those either. Check this place out for yourself!

The food was excellent! All of it was flavorful and came out quickly! The service was also timely and very on top of it. It was a lovely experience. Ambiance was also calm and mellow. It was truly a great time with my friend.

Couldn't wait to take a photo... Luckily, we'll take the sauces home, add in our own goodies, and enjoy these amazing flavors again!

This place is incredible! Every dish we've ordered is soooo flavorful. The okra and egg curry is remarkable (and I am a mear lover)! The coconut rice nears perfection. Their beer and wine list is great. It's a Tuesday afternoon and the place is packed -- and I understand why! Come. You won't be disappointed! (I imagine the Michelin stars will follow!)

The best lamb I've had , and they have really good milk tea , their chili sauce they give on the side is super good too and spicy !

I've been here several times throughout the years. I am surprised I never reviewed it yet! A group of us came for lunch on Saturday to celebrate my birthday! The service is always super pleasant. Staff very friendly. Food comes out very quickly each time! Granted, there was not as many parties when we came right at 11am. But even the other times when I come for dinner, I never feel like I am waiting forever for our food. There is a server walking around refilling our waters constantly! Never have to wave someone down to ask for anything. They are very attentive. Now the food, AMAZING! Tea Leaf Salad: Light to my stomach, but so much flavor with the tea leaves and the crunch of the nuts Moh-Hin-Gha (pureed catfish chowder): We love this one! The chunks of fish with the soft noodles. Yum. I just wish it came with more. Sesame Chicken: My friend gets this each time. He likes it a lot. I think it is okayyy. A bit too sweet for me. We did not get it this time, but I prefer the burmese style chicken curry. Put this over rice, and bomb! Burme String Beans: Lovely crunch with enough garlic and soy sauce. Black pepper Beef: Love all the black pepper to this. Nice and saucy and had good beef to veggie ratio. Burmese Garlic Noodles with duck: You gotta get it with the duck. The duck here taste delightful! Dessert: They gave me mango ice cream with a huge flare and had the entire restaurant singing happy birthday to me. We also got the Burmese Semolina Cake which had that nice rich coconut flavor. Moist and yummy. With some ice cream with it. Perfect!!!

This restaurant gives authenticity right off the bat. They put care into selecting the artwork on the walls and furniture you will be dining on. You feel like you traveled to Myanmar and you're having Burmese cuisine with the utmost quality. I really enjoyed the Tea Leaf Salad and it is my top contender for "I need to learn how to make this". The staff were very nice and they delivered our appetizers and entrees in perfect timing. Give this a go if you're in the mood for Burmese food!

Came here on Super Bowl Sunday for dinner at 6:30pm with my bestie. There were plenty of tables. We stayed there until they close at 9pm and they were about 1/3-1/2 full. We ordered tea leaf salad, mango chicken and pad Thai. Everything was tasty and actually huge portion this time. They seem bigger than lunch portion. The tea leaf was already pre-made and not how it was many years ago when they mixed it in front of you. Overall, we love the ambiance there . We could sit there for hours and felt like we had our own little private booth. Great for date night too!

Came here to meet up with a friend and her family and we had 4 babies/young toddlers. The food was great and I really liked how they had notations on what could be made vegan and vegetarian. The waitress was really helpful and they even gave really cute vehicle plastic plates for the kids. We all enjoyed ourselves very much. Parking is free out front. We tried the tea leaf salad which comes mixed already and was tasty, less tea than I've had before. I also go the yellow tofu which didn't seem completely chickpea. It had a firmer texture with maybe some pumpkin or potato. The egg curry was very flavorful and delicious and could be made not spicy. They have a big space with lots of tables and it feels very open. It's a pleasant environment

A decent Burmese spot in the area with friendly service. Got seated quickly on a Saturday night. We ordered the Burmese pad Thai with chicken and salt and pepper chicken to share between two people. The pad Thai was flavorful and included some veggies. The salt and pepper chicken was boneless and decent. Too much for two people to share but would be ideal for a bigger group. Ambiance and interior were no frills and family friendly. Parking is easy.

Enjoyed a casual Friday lunch with my brother here. He's just moved into the area and we're exploring local restaurants. Pretty crowded at lunchtime so parking can be a bit tricky. We ordered Nan gyi dok, black pepper beef, the village catfish, Burmese iced tea and rice. My favorite item was the black pepper beef. The sauce for the catfish was very well done but the bones made it hard to eat, and the serving size was a bit skimpy. The curry noodle dish just needed a touch more salt, a crispy element, and cilantro. Will be back to try other standards like the tea leaf salad, mint jalapeño chicken, and other curries.

Ask the Community - Burma Burma

Does the pet allow for the outdoor area?

I don't think they allow pets.

    What Vegan options are there?

most of their dishes don't use dairy products and animal products, however please call them to check ahead. We are strict vegetarians and we never had any issues with animal products, just remind them multiple times about eggs and what you cannot…

    Are all meat dishes halal?

Our beef, lamb, and chicken is halal.

    Is outdoor seating still available?

They have outdoor patio but it's not always set up or in use

My friend does not enjoy spicy food. Do you have a good selection of dishes without a lot of chili that will be ok for her?

Most of our items you choose the spice level you want if there is any spice in the dish.

Is the meat still halal? No signs on menu or windows?

Yes the meat is still Halal and it is posted on our website menu and takeout menus togo, as well as when you dine in.

Is the shrimp fried rice sweet?

Sweet only with the shrimp, no sugars added

How is it halal when you still serve pork?

I'm not Islamic so I can't speak to the label as it relates to being served in the same proximity of pork products but my understanding of the "Halal" certification is specific to the type of meat it is, and the method of slaughter.…

Is the food served here halal?

Yes. All beef, lamb and chicken items halal

I'd like to try the garlic noodle. Would I be able to order it during lunch time?

I think so! if you go to the YELP page, there is take out function to pre-order. Very pack during lunch time, come early or make reservation.

Are you and Burma Burma in san Ramon sister restaurants?

I do not know of a Burma Burma restaurant actually in the city of San Ramon. This restaurant is in Dublin, but on San Ramon Road - maybe that is confusing the issue?

Is there a free parking lot? Thankyou!

    Yes, there is.

Is it safe to eat here when you have peanut and shrimp allergies?

Hi Alisa L ,This is Steven from Burma Burma, I would like to answer your question now. Yes, it is safe...you just let us know about your allergy food when you order. Then we can do everything for you.

Are there options that are vegan/vegetarian friendly without fish sauce/chicken broth?

Yes! They have a vegetarian menu and my favorite tea leaf salad can be made vegan- just let the person taking your order know.

General Manager), we were the fortunate ones yesterday! Rest of the story: we booked the entire restaurant for a lunch event on Sunday. With about 70 guests, the event went exceptionally smoothly and everyone had a great time! Not even one unhappy guest! The food, as usual, was exceptional. Justin personally tended the bar - with his staff - and kept everyone happy with their exotic cocktails. The fresh coconuts were so delicious and popular that I later heard them tell each other: "coconuts are 86!" He even made a very selective guest happy with a special sipping tequila! What made the most impact was their attitude. They dealt exceptionally well with demanding customers and cheerfully served the rest! Andy helped plan the event with cocktails, appetizers, mains and desserts. They suggested creating a Spotify playlist for the event and that worked great. From the beginning till the end, their flexibility, attitude and willingness to make every possible effort to make it a great event was obvious! Seven stars!
