I'm giving the food here 1 star, but the friendly service bumps it up to 2 stars. I ordered the grilled shrimp and egg roll vermicelli bowl to go, and it came with only 2 small pieces of shrimp. Apparently, they need to rename this entree to "Two small a** pieces of shrimp and egg roll vermicelli bowl". lol I also ordered the red bean coconut cold drink, and when I started digging into the red beans with my spoon, there was nothing but a big clump of red bean (see the pic I posted). I have no idea if it was frozen or if it was just sitting for too long. Either way, it was nasty as nasty can get, and I ended up throwing away the drink. Ending on a high note, the service was very friendly, but I'll likely never come back again. Next time I'm craving a vermicelli bowl, I'll just stay home and make a cup of noodle instead. read more

The place was very peaceful. I like to have my soups in a quiet environment. The family and I were craving for some pho, and decided upon this place. Bathrooms were not too terrible, but they did not make me feel very sanitary from what I remember. Obviously, this place serves pho. They also serve other typical Vietnamese foods that are served in other Vietnamese restaurants. I wouldn't say this place was had anything super "special". The varieties of pho they have were "combo, beef, chicken..." and possibly a bit more (not that I can remember well). I ordered the combo because my pho craving was kicking into high gear. The sizes of the noodle bowls were "small, medium, large, and Xlarge". Let me warn you, Xlarge is HUGE. I don't know how to the size of it without a visual, but the Xlarge may be a bit too much for one person. In fact, that size could be shared with 2-3 people. I suggest getting medium is enough to fill the stomach up. In terms of taste, the pho was OKAY. Not the worst that I have tried, but it wasn't so appealing to me either. Although it was pho noodles that were used, I think it was the brand or the way it was manufactured that made the noodles texture feel weird to me. It felt more... stretchy [?]. What I thought was gross is that the beef's fat was not trimmed off. That means that the soup itself has been cooked with that fat, ALSO meaning that the soup itself isn't really... well... healthy. I am a slight health conscious person, so this is a big deal to me. I did not know that they do not trim off the fat. Perhaps asking them personally is what I would have to do next time. read more

My husband and I started coming here about 5 months ago and have become regulars. We absolutely love the food, the service, and the family atmosphere. We typically come for lunch and favor the following: 1) chicken curry 2) beef pho 3) fried calamari 4) boba jackfruit and strawberry smoothies Great job on opening up a restaurant that's simply delicious. The design inside Pho Saigon is nice. There are plenty of cute designs and flowery decor. The food came quickly. However, the food was just okay. I had the grilled beef, with shrimp and eggrolls, and the beef was dry. The eggroll tasted good. I also had the Taro Boba which did not taste good, it was very watery and the Boba was very small and hard. Do not get the boba. I also had the crunchy noodles and it needed more sauce. I did not enjoy the food. Also the owner kept publicly picking the food in his teeth which was very bothersome to me. read more

I went there twice. I actually read the reviews on Yelp before my first visit and expected it to be stingy like some reviews have said. But I got take-outs, and I couldn't really make a good judgement. Since there're just so little Vietanmese food here in Rocklin compare to the SF bay, my family and I went back for dinner again, and they were just so stingy on the ingredients in pho that we decided that we'd never come back again, and we'd rather wait until we come home to the Bay area to have some real pho. If you really crave for some pho, and you just have to go to Pho Saigon here, then here are the good things to expect: clean and nice service. Here are the things that might upset you a bit: prices on food are cheaper, but small portion and barely any meat in the pho. And we couldn't figure out if they water-down the beef broth or they were being stingy even on the msg, the soup was pretty light too. read more

4 stars because I prefer Pho Saigon than other Vietnamese food in the Rocklin area. Unfortunately my reviews do not reflect the Pho which is what makes these places popular but maybe I can help those in search of some good chicken with rice. Had the roasted and bbq chicken dishes here. For the price this place rocks, they give huge portions and good fast food. The chicken here tastes more fresh and natural than the other place in my previous reviews. Since P S is closer to my house this will be my frequent. Check e'm out but try not during M-F 12 - 1:30. Pretty surprised to find a pho place in Rocklin. The restaurant is pretty clean and the service was good. Even more surprised, the menu has a lot of selections, from pho to rice plates. I ordered the dry vermicilli with grilled pork and egg roll. Everything came out nice and fresh with decent size portions. My bf ordered the beef pho and it was kind of bland. My friend ordered the pho ga and they were just thin slices of chicken breast, nothing compared to the delicious pho ga at Turtle Tower in the city. Prices were ok. About $5 for a small pho and $6 for a large. Mine was about $7.45, so not as cheap as I would expect for a non bay area location. This is really a good place to eat. The place is very modern looking and appears to be clean. They charge like $6.75 for a large bowl of noodles. I had the Bun Bo Hue. It was very authentic. The soup was good and the portions were decent. Well worth the money. I also had an order of grilled pork spring roll. I can't remember how much it cost, but it was really good. I wanted to order the Banh Xeo ($6.75), but my sister advised against it. Apparently she ordered it once and it was loaded with bean sprouts, with not a whole lot of meat. Overall, the food was good. This place for me,. is your run of the mill pho place. Is that bad? Not necessarily when one is hungry and desiring some solid viet food. Came here for lunch at 11am (thank god! a place open before 11:30 for lunch) and got the sugar cane with shrimp paste appetizer, and a grilled chicken vermicelli. The sugar cane wasn't fresh. That was my first observation. I've been told it's rare to see fresh sugar cane used in the US, but really that was a huge knock. That's all I'll really say about that. The vermicelli was solid, with good chicken, good noodles, and a decent amount of veggies. Their sauce doesn't seem the best, but then again what flavor do you really expect in vermicelli is the question. Solid service, decent food. This place fills up fast and they have a huge variety of choices. The food is healthy, fresh and fast. The staff is friendly and helpful , especially to people new to this type of food they are happy to omit or add items if requested.I highly recommend the #57 but I still have not had a dish here yet that turns me off. read more

Took forever with the water (had to ask twice to get it), waitress seemed annoyed to be working today (although the guy was a lot friendlier) and food was decent but I've had better. It's so hard to find good Asian food in the Roseville area. This place has more authentic style pho choices. Although they still lack flavor and spices of a traditional pho dish. The service was good and the food was okay. The pho broth was bland, so bland that I had to add a little of this and a little of that....not fun trying to adjust the flavor. Their fried rice was okay, as well. I got the impression this place is a little bit afraid to add that authentic touch to their food. There wasn't enough seasoning and spices in the dishes I ordered. I absolutely love this place! My family and I have been coming here for the last 2 years and it's by far our favorite Pho restaurant around. By about our third time coming, the waitress remembered our orders. My son was 3 when we started coming here and wasn't really into Pho but they were so nice to accommodate him, making small side dishes and special requests. This small shop is located in a nice little strip mall. A good find on a budget. This was my third trip out here. First trip in three years to the restaurant. Usually have to be in the mood for pho. Upon arrival we are greeted promptly by staff. Menus came immediately after. Wait staff give us enough time to think over the order and drinks. We had questions about the dishes to which the staff was quick to respond. We ordered the wing appetizer, one house special pho, and one chicken pho in meat broth. Staff maintained level of service to get the appetizers out efficiently with enough time to consume prior to the pho. Chicken wings were cooked properly moist tender flavorful with or without the sweet spicy dipping sauce. Dipping sauce likely from a jar but ok. Water consumed was filled when our glasses needed to be charged without having to ask. Pho came as we finished the wings. Pho, soup, was hot temperature as expected. Condiments already at table and the usual Vietnamese garnish including bean sprouts, spicy jalapeños, citrus, and mint were brought along appetizers. Jalapeños were spicy and garnishes were fresh. The broth with both pho were balanced not overly complex. A fair sweetness and spice. Nothing to be excited about but not lacking too much for need of extra flavor. Not the worst but not best of pho. Somewhere in the middle but enough flavor to come back. Overall trip was good. Food was good. I would come back again. I would give a five if the broth wasn't missing a little something. read more

I used to really enjoy my food from here but the last takeout I had was not quite the same freshness or quality as before. Might be the strain of Covid that has this business suffering with portions seeming skimpy. I had the shrimp rolls but the peanut dipping sauce was more like peanut soup and no flavor. Also had the bun, but that only had a few pieces of meat and only two small shrimp. It does appear to be clean and they are following state restrictions with no in house dining which I was pleased with. I may return again for pho to see if this was just an off day. read more

I must say, they are over priced, nonetheless, they do over load the sandwich with their ingredients. Something about those sandwiches that make it so delicious, I couldn't tell you what it is. This place gets a high rating automatically for being a clean pho spot with great service. I can't remember the last time the server would swing by every 2 minutes to ensure even that out cups were full of water. Even the utensils were held together with an adhesive by the napkin. I have not ever seen a Vietnamese pho place as keen to detail as this place. Unfortunately the pho isn't up to par with the service, not that it was anything less than decent but being a pho lover I know amazing pho when I have it. Pho Siagon is great! There are a few Vietnamese choices around Rocklin/Roseville, but this is the place for me. Even if I didn't work right across the street I would make the drive. Food- I usually go for the pho. The broth is always rich with flavor, and the serving size is just right. I recently discovered their grilled beef sandwiches. Wow- only 4 bucks for a generous cooked to order lunch? Love it. Service- The staff is wonderful here. They always make me feel like family. If you go a few times they will recognize you and always greet you with warm smiles. Recently I was at a Vietnamese restaurant in SF, and realized that I was feeling guilty for cheating on Pho Siagon. This was our first visit and the customer service was up to par. We (my kids and I) were the first customer of the day. They had the usual selections as most pho places do and some Vegetarian dishes, including a pho dish made with veggie broth, with no veggies but slices of onions. The Kids had the pho noodle soup with the beef meat balls. From what i could tell they gobbled up the noodles and enjoyed the broth. I had the Vegetarian Pho noodle soup with veggie broth and I have to say for just the broth portion, in my experience by far, I like the veggie pho here more than anywhere else that offers any veggie soup based pho. We also had the Vegetarian fresh springrolls with peanut sauce, which was tasty but better if dipped in the sauce. Overall we enjoyed the experience. The service was friendly and quick.
