We ordered the spicy chicken, and they weren't kidding about the spice! Our waitress did warn us ahead of time, so we knew what to expect. It had amazing flavor, but it was so spicy that we could only eat a little before it became overwhelming. The Sundubu-jjigae was the highlight of the meal. It had rich, delicious flavor and the portion was large enough for two people to share comfortably. The only disappointment was that we came hoping to order the seafood stew, but they were out of it. We've been coming here for years and I just realized that I've neglected to give them a review. We go at least every other week if not every week. We always order the Yang Yum chicken, which is our absolute favorite and we always get the crazy fries and sometimes the beef tacos. I'm never disappointed and it's always a treat. Full disclosure, I didn't try the Korean stuff or the Kimbap, so this review is based on the sushi and the teriyaki. The good: edamame was good! The gyoza was good too. The adequate: the chicken teriyaki was fine. Dry and bland but okay. The inedible: all the sushi. I mean, the California roll was meh but the other sushi was not good at all. I should have been worried when a request for eel sauce was met with a container of teriyaki. Those are not the same hahaha.... I won't risk it again but feel free to try for yourself! read more

As a Korean, I generally evaluate Korean restaurant with more scrutiny than the average reviewer. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this new place. I was greeted by a friendly server and ordered the bulgogi bibimbap. I've never had a purple sauce before but she assured me it was good together. First thing is the side dishes which I did not expect at sushi roll place. Traditional Korean banchan side dishes, all of which were high quality and made with love and care. The bibimbap itself was also unexpectedly delicious and hit all the notes I'd expect from a bibimbap restaurant. There was a bone in the albacore and I almost broke my tooth when I took a bite. They didn't even take it off our bill. The spicy tuna roll was deep fried yet it was chewy and not crunchy even a little. And the flavor of the sauces was not there. It looked pretty but there was no flavor at all. The fish itself was not even cold. Room temperature at best. I would never come here again. And if you want better sushi you could make it yourself. I decided to try California Roll & Grill for lunch recently (via DoorDash). Overall, it was not my favorite meal. I selected the Rainbow Roll and Assorted Tempura. The roll consisted of kani and avocado along with assorted raw fish. Serving size was generous and it was well plated. In my opinion, the fish lacked flavor .... Disappointing. The tempura was a little soggy. The shrimp looked much larger than they were due to a great amount of coating. The vegetables were pretty good.
