I enjoy thé bon bo hue and the beef bone pho. The tacos I would not recommend as the meat was dry and it came out cold. Service is decent and restaurant is very pretty. Be prepared to wait.

My family and I come here whenever we want pho or need a quick place to eat! Definitely our favourite go to restaurant. The prices are great and the service is quick! We usually just share a few orders of the House Special Beef Noodle Soup XL and ask for bowls. Very affordable and delicious!

I was in the area doing some errands. Remembered my friend said before the pandemic this place was pretty good so decided to give it a try. The meat amount is good, however the soup itself taste like water. I had to add Sriracha sauce 3 times to have flavour. The service was efficient, but I wouldn't go back as the food taste is what drives me.

I really like this place because there's a lot of meat in the house special pho. The food does not disappoint. They do not have the utensils sitting on the table, they bring it to you with your soup. They do not have a small cup on the table (to put the oyster sauce/hot sauce), you have to ask for it. I think Pho Saigon has decent prices in comparison to the pho places around the same area. The food is good, the place is clean and inviting. There's also parking in the back and front of the building. I would definitely come back.

Quite a relaxing environment after shopping nearby. Nice staff, food are in quite big portion.

Rare beef and flank pho. Tons of tender meat, tons of noodles. Asked for a sauce bowl which they were happy to provide.

Came in not really expecting anything. Craved for pho coz it was freezing outside. The inside of pho saigon is homey and although the place is big its pretty cozy as well. The servers were quick to get our order and as it got busy they were quick helping the other tables as well. Our food came out fairly quick. I had the rare beef and flank pho - I am a creature of habit and will have to be really curious about a dish for me to change what my regular order is. Lol I'm really happy I got this though as soup was really good. Clean, fresh taste. Tons of noodles and tons of meat in the serving. Tried the wonton soup as well and it was equally delicious. Very happy with my choice. Couldn't eat anything else afterward though because the serving was massive! I do want to try more of their dishes and I will for sure be visiting them again.

Complimentary green tea with free refills.

I remember the first time my husband and I ate at this restaurant: it was freezing cold outside and we were starving. New to Canada at the time, we had no clue where to eat. We were at the Salvation Army Thrift store when we both thought, a nice hot steaming bowl of pho would be good right about now. Lo and behold, Pho Saigon happened to be in the same plaza. Several months later and after a number of follow-up visits, I found myself having a quiet lunch alone. I looked around and I was surprised that I didn't notice the beautiful artwork and decor scattered throughout the restaurant. The owner told me that her branch in Pickering is even better and is a more formal sit down restaurant; however, this site is her "baby" (first restaurant) so you'll find her here most often. Stellar customer service during the day (can't say the same for the night shift) when the owner is there! I grilled the younger female waitress about dishes I was unfamiliar with and she had an answer for everything. The waitresses would periodically check in on me; but if I needed something, all I had to do was look around (no waving your hand around or yelling "excuse me") and one of the waitresses would come to my table. One instance a waitress was in the kitchen and the other was with another customer; I happened to look at the owner (personable Portuguese woman with spiky blond hair who mans the cash register) and she knew to call one of the waitresses to check on me. A++ in my book! As far as the food, the Pho and Vermicelli dishes are solid picks; I wouldn't recommend the shrimp paste in sugar cane (chewy and the sugar cane wasn't sweet), nor the meatballs (chewy and hard).

Pho Saigon Restaurant is ok as a Pho Joint! But I don't think I would have go out of the way to have a bowl of Pho here. I was here for lunch on a weekday afternoon. This restaurant was quite busy. Most of the patrons were not Asians.. haha... I did stood out like a sore thumb! I decided on a medium Pho with rare beef. It arrived quickly but I was not offered any bean sprouts. My pho just got dumped on my table and I have to wave another waiter down in order to get my bean sprout/basil/chili pepper. BTW I don't think any of the other tables was offered fresh chili, he has to go inside the kitchen to look for it! The broth is nice and flavoured with a lot of depth. The rare beef were a little cooked... but still ok. But here the medium is like a size of small compare to Vietnam Noodle Star.. and that is quite pricey for $7. The noodle is also a dried type. They accepts Visa, Mastercard and Interac.

Average pho restaurant. Not the best in Scarborough as Pho Metro is a strong competitor. Since we didn't want to be disappointed with a bowl of pho, we opted for grilled chicken with vermicelli and spring roll and an old classic grilled pork chop/chicken on rice. Both dishes tasted pretty decent and portions were adequate. I must give credit to the cleanliness and the service of the restaurant. Overall, it was average for this part of Scarborough.

Pad Thai is still just as huge a dish as always with peanuts, chicken, tofu, tons and tons of noodles and the delicious tamarind sauce with a tiny hint of spice. Pad kee mao - mild or medium depending on your taste - has that aromatic basil and those perfectly cooked yet still crunchy vegetables. Large flat noodles that fill you up! The green curry is a staple, also decent spice but that creamy coconut and the chicken, green peppers and bamboo shoots work together so well. On a bed of rice, it's delicious. We also tried a new offering of their chicken in eggplant boat with rice. It was SO good. The chicken is minced and has a nice spice level to it. The eggplant is soft and just goes so well with the chicken, spice and rice. Service is always on point - friendly people, food comes out hot and quick. Price is good too - go for lunch special if you need something easier on the wallet but delicious.

The service was even better than my last visit. I would give above 5 stars if it was available. We ordered 1. Wagyu dumplings appetizer. While the price was pretty high for 4 dumplings at $12. The flavours and spices were amazing. 2. Crab fried rice. The dish was well presented and flavourful 3. Lobster grilled cheese Not our favourite dish of the day but the home fries were a nice touch and crispy. 4. Pad kee mao with shrimp This dish was the star of the show. The shrimps were jumbo and fresh and the noodles were very bouncy (you could tell they were handmade) 5. Thai tea tiramisu While soft and delectable. It wasn't worth the $14 price tag. I complained about some prices but overall the whole meal was only $120 and $150 including tip. So, I believe the value compared to the price was very very reasonable considering the prices of dining out these days. I will definitely be back and I give a strong recommendation to visit this location of Chiang Mai.

Both the coconut curry and tamarind coconut red curry have very rich, creamy, and flavourful sauces. We had the spice level mild for both dishes, but that was still too hot for me, personally. That has nothing wrong to do with the dishes, but just my personal tolerance level. The coconut curry was a treat to eat. The pork jowl was very gummy and chewy. There was also a fried, battered leaf in the dish to provide a crunchy texture to the dish. The tamarind curry was equally as good. The braised beef was a little sweet and tender. There are also nuts in the dish to provide that crunchy texture. The tofu spring rolls we ordered provided much needed relief from the spiciness of the curry dishes. I would have some spring rolls in between to help subside the spicy sensation of the chilis. The spring rolls was surprisingly filling. Our group of 2 was not able to finish all of the tofu rolls and had to take some home. We ended the dish with a delightful order of mango sticky rice. It was another order that helped counteract the the spicy, burning sensation my tongue was having. We appriciated the vibe and look of the place. There were properly thought out furnishings around the space and the walls. Service was also top tier. The meat was shrimp and port mixed, a little bit spicy and salty. You must dip the fish sweet sauce together, that would make it tasty and not that salty. The main we got a pork curry dish and Tom Yum beef mild (Leng Tom Yum $35.95). My little girl loved the beef without the Tom Yum sauce so much. But I liked the curry sauce more, however, there was no veggies in it. This one was a bit expensive (Kor Moo Gaeng Kua $25.95) with a few pieces of pork only. The 2 main dishes were both come with rice. We ended up with packing up the rice and the sauce home for another meal. It's really tasty meal, and we would definitely come back again for other dishes.

The mango was slightly too ripe but it was not unpleasant; the mango was cut too thick though. It was the first time I'd had a non spicy Thai mango salad & the dressing was lacking tartness.  Crab fried rice was well fried with quite a lot of crab. The egg on top was fluffy & pretty thick. Soft shell crab was crispy & fresh but slightly too moist. Lime was extremely juicy (like calamansi level juicy, which it is replacing after all). The dish was served with seafood sauce which was good & fish sauce  (normal). Previously, Medium tom yum soup hotpot had 6 prawns. The peppers were not legit but the taste was legit. I was dining solo today, so I only ordered one dish: the Khao Soi Soft‑Shell Crab, which was marked as a recommended item on the menu. It was a serious noodle overload, noodles in the soup plus a pile of crispy fried egg noodles on top. Carb coma incoming. Ambiance It's very colourful inside the restaurant. The walls are painted with cute designs. I liked it. The washrooms are down the hall on the main level. I didn't like how cluttered that hallway is though. I hope they clear away some of the restaurant supplies from that hallway to the bathroom. The women's washroom was clean. However one of the cabinets in the washroom was full of dust on the top. It's kind of strange because the toilet & sink itself were very clean. The noodles are cooked just right, retaining a pleasant chew, and coated in just enough of that sweet, sour, and savoury tamarind sauce to flavour the dish without drowning it. The wok hay still shines through. True to form, it arrives wrapped in a delicate lattice egg crepe, which is not essential for flavour, but undeniably pretty and giving the dish a regal finish. On a previous visit, I made the mistake of ordering dishes too spicy. This time, the server seemed to instinctively know better and brought the khao pad tom yum with chicken ($21) at a medium spice level. The fried rice was a full-on flavour bomb: punchy tom yum paste layered with aromatic onions, peppers, and fresh herbs. And the aroma? Absolutely intoxicating. I'd highly recommend splurging a little and ordering from the "premium beef" section. The khaw waan beef green curry ($27.50) uses "finger beef," a well-marbled cut carved from between rib bones. The result is deeply flavourful, incredibly tender meat with a luscious gelatinous ribbon of cartilage that adds richness. Green curry can often become too sweet or heavy on coconut, but Sala strikes the balance beautifully. It's creamy without being nauseating, with bold curry flavours still front and centre. The sauce is excellent spooned over the cone of steamed rice and soaking into the tender eggplant scattered throughout. Since my first visit, portion sizes have noticeably increased... we left with a doggy bag of leftovers. Everything arrives well-seasoned on its own, but for those who like to tweak, Sala offers a set of "flavour boosters" so you can dial up the salty, sweet, sour, or spicy elements. Personally, I didn't touch them and found the food didn't need any extra help.
