Ok... call me crazy but I really like egg noodle and for once I found a place that will exchange my rice noodle with egg noodle. This place is located in El Cajon in a strip mall. There's plenty of parking and easy to get to. I came in on a weekday and the place was humming with customers. I did notice that a few customers like to order to go so I can surmise that the food is not bad. I ordered Pho with rare steak and tendon and yes with egg noodle. I did notice that it took a little longer to get my order from what I am accustomed to but hey it was still good. It was nice and warm and it hits the spot. The staff was friendly and they seem to have a smile every time. I would guess this Vietnamese restaurant is a great addition. As it adds variety to the eatery around the area. read more

What a bummer. I didn't think Pho could ever be messed up but unfortunately, thanks to Pho Super Bowl, it can. My Pho's meat was cold in the middle which made me very uneasy and for some reason the broth had a hint of soap? My Shrimp Spring roll had a nice black hair stuck to it. I'm blonde lol. Located in a strip mall, this restaurant has no decor, very simple to explain it. It wasn't the cleanest when I went in...it seemed there was some sort of dinner rush on a weekday, so things seemed confused. I wasn't greeted but sat down, and took over 5 minutes to get the order in by the waiter. The menu is not that extensive but has something from the usual areas. I got the fresh spring rolls...which are just okay and do taste fresh. I got the 19 plain pho/noodle soup regular size. Coming to the table, it's a decent portion, and it did look good...but looks are deceiving. The broth was low-okay...it seemed more peppery than chicken/beef flavorful. The noodles were also cooked a little too long, since they broke apart when trying to scoop them up...making it difficult to eat. Are you vegetarian? Are you near east county? Well then look no further. I get pho here at least 2x a week. It's difficult to find places with a veggie broth option especially out in these parts. And it's only got broccoli and tofu. No other veggies I have to pick out. Simple, delicious, perfect. Make sure to try their delicious iced teas with lychee jelly! The perfect lunch spot. read more

Quality has gone down. Ordered the combination bowl and the Kung Pao chicken to-go. The Kung Pao chicken was okay but the Pho was horrible. The steak was cut too thick to cook through (and I reheated the soup to bring to a boil) and I was not given tripe or my one meatball (as promised). Besides this experience the food is edible. They do an okay job with the noodles and drinks but I will not be going back after today. So sad and disappointed. I was really looking forward to this meal since I've been going since it opened three years ago. Sadly. Their quality is just way too low. You're paying the same price for Pho that is SIGNIFICANTLY better at other local restaurants. We used to love this place but it's almost like they got new management that told everyone to water everything down and put 25% less product for 25% more charge. We have taken Pho Support Bowl off of our list of noodle houses. Hopefully one day they get back to doing great food. read more

This is our go-to Pho fix. We make the trek once a week. The wait staff is great, the food servicee is always prompt and HOT. The Thai Tea and Lychee freezies refreashing. Stop in, you will not be disappointed. Their takeout (Grub Hub and Uner Eats) is a good portion of their business but we prefer to diine in. Love this place. read more

This place wasn't disappointing by any means and their spring rolls were really fresh, but their pho wasn't as flavorful as other pho I've had in San Diego. Completely off the topic: After using Yelp for years, I just realized I can't give a business + half a star. Learn sumpin' new every day... Anyway. I love this place. I do. At first glance, it really don't look much like a restaurant. It's nestled cozily between a Boost Mobile store and a store that's been faking going out of business for a few years and that definitely doesn't do your business any favors. Parking is a bit atrocious, especially if Rite- Aid is having some Wednesday special on Busch Lights (well, it's El Cajon) or the business that's been going out of business for the last 4 years really... is... going out of business. But there is ample of it so walking far really isn't walking far. Besides, I can use the exercise... and I'm going to assume you do, too. As you walk in, you first notice the simplistic, almost Spartan sparseness to the place. About 7 tables and chairs that occupy them, a few black and white portrait/ drawing - which I didn't look too closely as they're implied nude images of women and I didn't want my innocent curiosity mistaken for some perverse pleasure - and a few strategically placed greenery are about it. The service is quick and the staff are always obliging. After coming here this much, I still have yet to determine who the owner is but Viet is a friendly enough fellow and Ashley is an absolute doll. Food is fantastic. The noodle is almost never overcooked, though it seems the chef can get distracted sometimes. The veggies are fresh, especially the sprouts. The broth is piping hot and has a very clean and pleasant flavor; it's never overwhelming and always plenty. If I have to dig around for a complaint, it's that the napkins are so tiny and I always seem to get 3- 5 tiny sheets. Considering how spicy I like my pho, I either have to resort to going to the bathroom and blowing my nose or wiping my nose on my sleeve like a petulant toddler with a sinus problem. This is the sister restaurant to the Pho Superbowl in La Mesa. It has taken over the space that has long been known as Kip's. They've only been open for about a week now, and when I stopped by for lunch there really wasn't a lot of action going on. Hopefully Yelp will help bring more traffic into the place, cos the #13 pho (rare steak, brisket, tendon and tripe) was good - it's got lots of the meaty bits and the broth was richly flavored with green onions and cilantro. Plus it's awesome that El Cajon can have some decent boba now. read more

I don't know why ya'll are tripping. I had the charbroiled meat pho with chicken, beef and pork. Meats were well seasoned. I got an ample amount and the noodles were perfect. The broth was amazing and they had a nice amount of sauce choices. The only reasons why I have it 4 stars is because it took while to get the check and box for my leftovers. First impressions. Service is below par. Upon entering, we weren't even greeted by our hostess, and instead she led us to our table by GESTURING WITH HER INDEX FINGER! RUDE JUDE DUDE! She wasn't in any way inclined to say Hello or even bat her lashes. Very poor start to our experience. Our server however was more competent. He actually said hi to us, although his demeanor was somewhat apathetic. Food on the other hand is the redeeming factor here. Pho broth to the untrained tongue can seem pretty one dimensional, with most pho places tasting generally the same. The broth here was very good, making my pho experience very pleasant. It had an almost creamy, umami like taste that was both comforting and filling. If you can overlook the poor service, than by all means, check this place out for some great pho. read more

The fried rolls were good and the pho was good as well, but the noodles seemed a little stuck together, like they had not stirred them while they were cooking...? Can't really dog on the place for being busy though, you know? But still it was odd to have to wait for a table to get cleaned. The waiter seemed flustered with the business and they weren't overly happy, but not UNhappy either, so... Atmosphere: It is bright inside, but seems a little unkempt. Tables are older and dinged on the side and there really aren't any decorations...at all. Like, no pictures, statues...I dunno. Price: Middle of the road, standard place for pho. It's not cheap, not expensive, our bill was 30$ for two drinks, two soups and an appetizer. Overall: I was teetering between 3 and 4 stars. The place is good, but not like WOW! Trying to grab a quick meal before going Christmas shopping at Parkway Plaza, this was the closest pho place to it and I was craving pho. Coming in, the service was a little spotty but I think it was because they lady was working by herself and there were a few customers already. Long story short - I got large bowl of pho from my usual small bowl with rare steak and beef balls - total bonus! most places only have beef balls alone or in their #1. The bowl was big with a lot of noodles and a good amount of meat. The only thing that lacked was the flavor of the broth, which pretty much made the whole meal mediocre. My BF got the vermecelli with BBQ pork. He said it was good except the whole meal was cold instead of the usual room temperature. Overall, it was okay. I probably won't be back though. read more

Typically my family orders to go, but today we needed to get something filling right after my brother's soccer game in the morning, so we decided to eat in. After we placed our order, we didn't wait too long to get our drinks, but also waited about 15 minutes before getting the fried egg rolls AFTER customers who arrived after us had already received their food. A couple minutes after, we were served the mint leaves and bean sprouts for our pho orders when we haven't even been served the bowls yet. It took about another 5-7 minutes before our pho was served to us, and then another 10 before our combination fried rice was served last. For the fried egg rolls, they were relatively good and crisp. Mostly noodles/veggies in them, I don't think I tasted any meat. The sauce that was served with it had no taste whatsoever, leaving my mom to settle mixing it with soy sauce at best. The pho was served with like, 90% of noodles and only a few slices of meat. Both my brother and I ordered the number 11 which had well-done stake and rare brisket, if I'm not mistaken. The broth had little taste, which left me tasting mostly the sriracha I mixed in and my brother drowning his in hoisin sauce and sriracha. Lastly, our fried rice order came incorrect. My mom ordered a combination fried rice with a choice of chicken and shrimp, but we were served with rice that had PORK and shrimp. Upon paying the bill, my mom mentioned their mistake at the register and the man at the register (also served the tables, who may have been the owner) called the cook and the cook made an excuse that we would have seen grill marks if it were pork and claimed that it was chicken that they served in the fried rice. Instead of apologizing and taking responsibility for the mistake, they chose to provide poor customer service and also let my mom looking crazy. They don't care much about providing great customer service and I don't think we will be returning after this experience. read more

One of my technicians told me this was his favorite pho place, and pho isn't a dime a dozen out in the more easterly El Cajon area, so I was a little excited to try this place out. My conclusion was that I need to take that technician to right proper pho, because this place is not on my nice list. The ambience was trying for the attendance award, the broth thin and weak, and the meat sparse. The limeade was out of acid balance and mostly ice.
