Update: As you can see this used to be my go to place as a matter of fact, it used to be five stars in my opinion and I compared to replace to it however, they've gone downhill drastically. I don't know what's happened, but the last three visits have not been good as a matter fact I just tried to order takeout and it was a cluster. The guy doesn't even know what's on the menu and if you try to ask him for help to clarify things he's clueless. I got so frustrated and ended up just hanging up. I guess it's time to find a new place. If this used to be your go to, you might want to reconsider their quality has gone down drastically. The spring rolls are now hard that's been consistently our issue the last three times and the food is no longer fresh. Consistency! I can't give 5 stars for this reason. I get the usual Pho soup with tripe. Some times I will grab the spring rolls. And we have had the Katsu there as well. All of these we have had Delicious spot on amazing and all of these we have had lack luster ew. It's hit or miss and that is the problem. They use to be very consisten but it seems like at times the spring rolls are old, or the katsu is tough. This restaurant closes until 0400, which I appreciate so much because hits different when you are drinking and looking for a warm meal. Servings are filling. Prices are okay. Tastes fine with not much of a stand-out from other places that serve same or similar dishes. Have to order at the cashier located in back of restaurant. Plenty of parking, but a few homeless people walking around the area and looking into your cars. Just store valuables and belongings in your trunk with covered sheets. Very dim lighting at this restaurant that you have to lock in when you read the menu. But, many tables and booths to house a lot of customers and there is not a reason to rush because there is no waiting line. Staff does their best to cater to customers, but may mix up orders or forget to refill water. They tend to scan the room, but you need to call them over to get them to you because they will not initiate with check-ins. Food is awful, I got a chicken teriyaki meal. The chicken is dry and couldn't even poke it with a plastic fork. Rice was dry. Egg roll was huge and not cooked all the way. It was late and felt like to have some pho. But most places were closed. So I came to Pho Tai in Lakewood. I had the raw beef and brisket pho and the appetizer spring roll (Vietnamese) and fried gyoza. The bill came to about $28. The spring rolls and gyoza were ok, pretty typical. The pho's stock was ok and the pho was decent. The beef wasn't bad. All in all it was ok. I guess that I just had to pay a bit more for the convenience of having pho at late night. read more

What an amazing place! Great food and a huge menu. They is something for everyone. Including a nice kids menu. What's really fantastic is that they are open until 4:00 AM. Great for a late night pho craving. I really enjoyed the pho itself a lot more than the fried rolls. Although they were decently sized, they were a little too crispy and the sauce was lacking flavor. WOW! All I can say is that I would never have come in here if I didn't get a good recommendation from a co-worker. First of all, I have to say on first glance the interior was nice and the hostess(?) that greeted me from the back of the restaurant was nice. I was seated and handed a menu. Now, this is basically a Vietnamese Pho place but I did look at them on Google before I came and it looked like they had more options. I'm a fried rice fiend and I saw they had a yellow curry fried rice w/ chicken, so I ordered that to go. I walked about 2 blocks back to my work and was super hungry. I sat down in my lunch room and open the container. The food at first smelled good (maybe bc I was hungry) but it was super oily and had more corn, peas and green beans(?) than grains of rice. Honestly, I stop here often for late night boba which is mid at best. Tonight I got food with a friend. It wasn't anything I expected. I asked for chopsticks and employee left so I got my own haha. The food. My friend ordered red curry, that isn't red curry, Idek what it is. I ordered beef broccoli, it came with no flavor or sauce on it. It was basically marinated beef strips and some slightly steamed veggies. Spring rolls were dry and used shredded ice beef lettuce and peanut sauce lacked flavor and was really runny. Pho Tai is not my preferred place to get pho when in the Tacoma area, no matter which Pho Tai location I go to. Given the fact that it was 2AM, it was reasonably busy, but the service was still pretty quick. The food was okay, nothing special. Went here earlier this afternoon, both me and my boyfriends chicken on our T3 & T10 was dry. I sent my food back and the when they gave me another plate, my food was still dry as if they just gave me the same food back! It took them about 10 minutes to come back to our table so I could tell them, whenever I would make eye contact with the server she would just look away. The first thing I noticed was on Uber eats there's no list of flavors for bubble tea and this was my first time ordering so I was a bit confused. I have had many different banh me sandwiches and while this was tasty, it wasn't very light/fresh like they usually are. I was looking for the cilantro and jalapeño slices. There was a little cabbage, carrot and cucumber but it was under the hot meat so it got kind of wilted and oily. I liked the amount of meat they had in the sandwich but it was very saucy and heavy. Not what I normally see or expect with a banh mi. The gyoza were fine but the sauce was no good- which is surprising. I thought the sauce for that was pretty standard. The bubble teas were delish. We got strawberry and mango and each had the corresponding flavor of boba. Overall the food was decent, but It doesn't taste authentic like actual Vietnamese people would enjoy or eat here.
