Saw this place was highly rated so decided to come try. It is inside the strip mall area before you enter Jusgo. The decor is very cute and the owners and chef were very nice! We tried the hand pulled beef noodle soup and the clay pot tofu. The beef noodle soup was decent, but the clay pot tofu was a standout. It has flavorful broth and Napa cabbage with frozen tofu for the texture. I would definitely return to try other claypots. I also liked the quail eggs which were more of an appetizer and the pork xiao long bao was very, very good and aromatic. Had two orders of these since they were so good!
I walked up to the counter to order. Lady asked if it's take out or eat in. I replied to eat here. She said to sit down and order from the table. She brought water and menus. On the table was a holder with chopsticks, soup spoons and napkins. It was a chilly, blustery day - I so enjoyed the Henan-style lamb with noodles soup! Three kinds of noodles: wide, hand-pulled with a nice chew; thin, textured tofu; crystal. Happy with the two quail eggs. There was a nice amount of wood ear fungus, kelp? and fresh cilantro. The lamb was tender and the broth flavorful. I saved half of the soup for dinner and chowed down on the pork bun. It was hot and toasty from the bun being grilled. Had to eat it right away as the bun was crispy crunchy and the sauce inside will eventually make the bottom mushy. "Yum!"
Cute little shop located inside a supermarket. Very little seating, we had to sit outside and they were fixing the automatic doors to the market so we were constantly blasted with freezing cold air that blew all our napkins off the tables lol. Food is make fresh so it takes foreverrrr to come out, the first person at our 5 person table got their food like 30 minutes before the last. Noodles are delish tho, I got the Beef Noodle soup with thick noodles, and they were super qq! Beef soup was good but not spicy at all (though the menu listed it as spicy), so I loaded up on chili oil. Overall great food, but seating is difficult even on a Monday afternoon.
Located inside of Jusgo Supermarket shopping mall with limited seatings that reminds me of any Chinese auntie's home with mix-match chairs and semi-water proof table coverings from any old school Chinese/Italian restaurants where you will get scold at if you mess up their beautiful wood tables (just kidding on the scolding part unless you go to a Chinese/Italian home). Service is just a typical hole in the wall type of restaurant experience you will get. You pick a seat, hurry up and order, they bring out the food and you go up to the register to pay when you're ready. Don't expect any first-class customer service from here. Have extra caution if you have any food allergens as they don't believe in people with food allergies. Henan Lamb Stewed Noodle - surprisingly not gamey so they cleaned the meat well. Soup is great for cold days or I guess hot days if you're an older Asian auntie/uncle who believe you should be eating hot food when it's hot out. Not for me who doesn't enjoy lamb but was tolerable since it wasn't gamey. Shanxi Oil Noodle - what they are known for. I love the slightly chew and wide hand-pulled noodles. It was almost perfect for me but one of the best in Houston metro area. After eating, you can walk it off at the market or get some sweets from another place within the shopping mall.
Was in the sugarland area to study and stopped by Xing's Kitchen for dinner. They are a food stall/restaurant inside of the jusgo market. They have only about 5 tables inside and 1 outside. I wanted to keep it simple and got the shanxi oil noodle. It's been awhile since I've had chili oil hand pulled noodles. The wait was about 10-15 minutes for the food. It came out hot and the aroma of garlic hits you hard. They have chili oil and vinegar available at the table if you want to add some to your food. I thought it was solid and it is actually enough for 2 meals to be honest. Noodles were chewy and soak up all the chili oil and garlic flavor. It's a bit oily, there's a puddle at the end but I'd say it's pretty solid. I would say that northern pasta edges this one out just a bit for best chili oil noodles in Houston tho
Came to Xing's Kitchen for our last meal in Houston before heading home. It was close to where we were staying so it was convenient. They're actually located inside a shopping mall so once you go inside, I believe it's to the right. It's a small place with some indoor seating and some "outdoor" seating. We had a party of four and we were seated right away. My friend and I decided to share a bowl of the stewed lamb noodles and a bowl of the cold noodles. The stewed lamb noodles were absolutely delicious. They used biang biang noodles, I believe and they had the perfect texture to them. The soup was savory, flavorful, and it wasn't overly gamey from the lamb. It also had vermicelli and tofu noodles. I loved it! Would recommend. The cold noodles used thin noodles and it was topped with cucumber. I'm not sure what kind of sauce they used but it was extremely floral and I did not like it at all. Not a fan. My friends got their beef noodle soup and Shanxi oil noodles. They both liked their dish and I did try some of the oil noodles. The sauce that they used was savory and delicious! Plus it had the biang biang noodles as well. Would recommend. Loved the flavors, service was quick and no frills. Would recommend and I would love to come back whenever I'm in Houston again.
Been coming to this gem for a few years now. Located inside the Jusgo Supermarket, I believe they serve the best bowl of 紅燒牛肉麵 Beef Noodle Soup in town. And I've had a few in my day. Theirs is unique in that they use a 麻辣 aka "ma la" which is a bit spicy and tongue numbing from the peppercorn and... peanuts. It's strange but the peanuts (along with the use of 榨菜 pickled mustard ) gives it a nice crunch. I pretty much exclusively get this dish every time I come here. However, many of my friends and colleagues have also enjoyed their 河南羊肉燴面 Henan Lamb Stew Noodle. The only downside is the limited seating and I know previously there was a lady who was quite rude behind the register where you order and would force you to tip. I haven't seen her the last few times I've been there, however. I also use to gripe about how they're the most expensive place for these beef noodle soup, but other places have pretty much caught up now in that department. If you are looking for some of the best noodles in town, I definitely recommend this little gem in Sugar Land.
Quick service with a smile even though I don't speak the language. I felt very welcomed. AMAZING noodles. This photo doesn't do it justice. But I got my order to go and couldn't wait until I got home. I got in the passenger seat and started eating away! Forgot to take a picture beforehand. Sooooo good! I went inside to pick it up and the ambiance was super cute. Delicious hand pulled-noodles. I will definitely be back!
This is a pleasant little restaurant inside the jusgo. The workers are very polite and the food came out in a timely manner. The oil noodles were a little more wet than I'm used to with a ton of oil at the bottom, but still yummy. I really enjoyed the beef noodles. The noodles absorbed the flavor well. The soup was delicious, but got more numbing as I drank. Overall a good noodle place.
Tucked away in the side of the Chinese supermarket is this hidden gem that serves delicious noodles. The beef noodle soup is probably the best one that I've had in the city and this one beats all the places out in Chinatown by far. I also had their lamb noodle soup and the soup was so warming that it was perfect for a chilly fall day, the service is quick. The lady is nice and she immediately brought us water when we sat down. Seating on the inside of the small restaurant and two tables on the outside. While it is a 30 minute drive outside of the city, I would make this drive just to have their soup again
Can't believe I'm just discovering this hidden gem. I crave chili oil hand pulled noodles all the time and I never knew where to get them until a friend showed me this place! I was absolutely blown away by the food here. The hand pulled noodles had such an amazing chewy texture. There was loads of garlic, and with the addition of chili oil and vinegar, my taste buds were in paradise. Plenty of bok choy too! Even though there is no meat in this dish, it was quite filling. Not pictured here, but you have to try the meat buns as well. I wasn't expecting much but they were SO good. The bun was so soft and flaky while the meat was incredibly tender. One of the best meat buns I've ever had. I will be happily making the long drive down to Sugar Land just to have a meal here again.
Quintessential 'hole in the wall' establishment tucked away in the Jusgo food court. I always walked by this place and would longingly stare down the patrons enjoying their noodles. Finally made it a point to grab a bowl (or 2) and they did not let me down. This is the type of food that lifts your spirits and comforts you all at once. The mashed cucumber was so refreshing and the perfect starter to a heavier meal. Our soups came out piping hot and immediately warmed us up. Perfect way to end a cold day. The beef noodle soup had a unique depth of flavor that sets it apart from every other rendition that I've tried. The henan lamb noodle soup was light and savory. The shanxi oil noodles had a terrific texture and absorbed the flavors nicely. The meat buns were awesome as well. You can taste the craft and care they put into their dishes. Traditional Chinese cuisine at its best. Don't miss it.
Fi ally got to try this place out and so glad I did! We tried the shanxi noodles and hot noodles with sesame paste. The shanxi oil noodles were so good! Definitely our favorite. It had a really nice flavor and they had a little spicy but definitely mild. They have chili oil on the table you can add and it is really good, it has many spices that make it up. The hot noodles with sesame were good as well but felt a little heavy towards the end. They have a strong sesame flavor and smell. We added the extra sauce from the Shanxi noodles to the sesame noodles to add some acid and it was really good! Noodles in both dishes were really good and had a really nice texture. The restaurant is inside jusgo and is quite small with tables around the outside and has a very homey feel. You order at the register and the noodles are brought out to you. Service is pretty fast and other than ordering you don't really interact with them much. We definitely want to come back to try some other dishes!
I love Xing's Kitchen. Whenever I find myself in Sugar Land, it's my go to for Chinese, mainly because I love the Shanxi oil noodle which is the best I've had. I swear it's just one really long hand made noodle, so it's a bit hard to share, but it's a must-get. We also tried the Claypot noodle and it was good as well but a bit of an acquired taste. The restaurant is located inside Jusgo grocery store. The seating is quite limited so I wouldn't recommend it for large parties. And it's pretty mom and pop, so if that's your jam, go for it. Chairs are mismatched, drinking water is somewhat self-service in small cafeteria-style plastic cups, and tables are small. Like I said - mom and pop, and that's not a bad thing. It's just not exactly a place where you would have a nice business meeting. Service was ok - nothing to note. You pay at the cashier which is like 2 feet from where you ate. Yes, it's a small space. Overall - I love this place and will keep coming back. read more

the 热干面 (hot sesame paste noodles) is an absolute must!! the sesame sauce is rich and thick, coating the noodles really well instead of being watered down we also really enjoyed the braised chicken which was super fresh and flavorful (and spicy, be careful!) the 凉皮 (cold flour skin noodles) was also good, though i personally think it couldve used a little more salt very casual ambiance, not much service, food comes out fast read more
The restaurant is quaint and you basically seat yourself. The waitress brings you water and utensils. The Shanxi oil noodle is still the best in town with perfectly chewy noodles with the most well balanced sauce. I decided to try the claypot noodle with crisp pork which arrived piping hot with excellent flavor and the same hand pulled thick noodles. The soup was very well seasoned and paired well with the noodles, but I'm not certain that I would get it again since their other dishes are so spectacular. read more

Been searching high and low for a place with good Taiwanese beef noodle ever since my favorite place closed down due to covid. This establishment is located inside the jusgo supermarket. The restaurant has limited seating so I can see it being super packed during peak time. The place is self serve you go up to the counter to order what you want and then grab a table. There is a station to get your own water, plastic spoons and bowls. The bowl of noodle is perfect beef is tender and the soup is flavorful and delicious. One of my go to places in sugar land. read more
This place is such a delicious hidden gem! You can find this place inside the Jusgo Sugar Land location. They have a limited menu, but it's so good! We got the Shanxi oil noodles, and they were slightly spicy and so flavorful. The noodles were flat and thick, and tasted like they were made from scratch! This one comes with chili oil, garlic, and bok choy. Highly recommend this one! We also tried the beef noodle soup, and the broth was really hearty and flavorful. The beef was really tender and it comes with bok choy as well. This is a great pick if you want something soupy. Lastly we ordered their pork sandwich, which was very flakey and savory! Overall, definitely recommend this place to try! read more

Located inside Jusgo, this place is pretty small but has a cozy feel. The service here is quick with no frills, and the food is good. The braised duck feet is on the spicier side, but is served chilled so it balances. The cold noodles have a nice sweet and savory taste with bits of peanut. My favorite is the shanxi oil noodle. Fresh hand-pulled noodles mixed topped with bokchoy and chili oil. Definitely returning! read more
Get your grocery's shopping done inside jusgo and grab some deliciousness noodz at Xings Kitchen! Absolutely MUST get is the Hot Chili Noodles aka Biang Biang Noodles! They were so qq, thick and chewy! I loved it. Just the right amount of spice to it as well. We ordered for togo and grocery shopped for a bit and by the time we were done, it was ready for pick up! It is towards the right side of jusgo if you are facing the front entrance. Will deff come back! Parking is within the plaza. read more
This restaurant has been elusive, to say the least. We've tried several times to order their food. But, they've said on the phone to us that they're either closed (why did they pick up the phone, then?) or that they ran out of food (at 2 pm or 5 pm, you run out of food? How does that happen?). Today, we got lucky and saw that they were open, since we were grocery shopping already at Jusgo. Their updated menu has been scaled down quite a bit. But, we ordered what was available for us to takeout. Here's a breakdown of the food we tried out: Braised chicken (half portion): This didn't look very appealing, but it tasted really good. The texture of the chicken was ok, but the spices they put in it were delicious. I couldn't make out if it was five spice, cumin, or white pepper. But, this is definitely not your normal seasoned chicken. My gripe about this dish was that there wasn't that much meat, and there's a good amount of chicken pieces that were just bones. I mean, I didn't pay to eat just the bones. Shanxi Oil Noodles: Oh my word, y'all. This dish was the bomb. We could tell the noodles were made from scratch because of the chewy, bouncy texture it had. The sauce coating the noodles was amazing too. I could taste a lot of garlic, vinegar, and chili oil. I would keep coming back for these noodles again and again. It's that good. However, I wish they'd have more than just the noodles in this dish. Maybe incorporate some beef or lamb pieces in this dish. For $10, it seems expensive to just be given noodles. Henan Lamb Stewed Noodle and Wonton soup: These two dishes were both soup noodles, and were not memorable dishes, honestly. They were homey dishes, though. But, they didn't have a wow factor to them nor did they make me want to go back to eat them. Overall, I'd come back for my Shanxi Oil Noodles fix. I may try the Hot noodles with sesame paste as well. But, my strong advice is not to call them. Instead, I'd just visit their restaurant around lunch hours (especially if you're already going to be shopping at Jusgo anyway) to see if they're open. Then, I'd order food from them, because they don't seem to have fixed business hours. If Xing's Kitchen is closed that day, at least you still have options like MaLa and Joy Dim Sum for lunch. read more
My friend recommended their spicy oil noodles and so here I was. Very soft spoken cashier and was told to pick up order in 10 minute. There wasn't any meat in the noodles but garlic/chili flakes/oil and a piece of Shanghai bokchoy. I thought it will be very spicy when I first looked at it but turned out it was quite tasty. However, it was $10 and I thought that's a bit too pricey just for noodles and chili oil. Perhaps that is prices in Sugar Land! read more

Saw this place off of yelp. The noodles were yummy, but the broth for the beef noodle soup wasn't my favorite. It was tangy gingery and acidic which wasn't my style, but could be someone else's! We also had the lamb noodle soup which was also alright. The thick noodles were yummy but the broth wasn't as flavorful as I was expecting. It was a cute restaurant in Jusgo in the corner with a cute interior. read more

Xing's Kitchen Like most people who have had the experience of eating at this delicious restaurant was recommended by someone else. One of my favorite YouTubers Mike Chen, did a video at this location last year and ever since then I've been wanting to come here. Today's date is December 9th 2022 and this beautiful restaurant is open. It's very small and quaint inside, about six or seven tables inside. I do believe there's a couple tables outside because the lady at the front register always went out there and it seems like she was serving someone. Now the noodle dish that's what I'm here to talk about was excellent. Note: it is hot and a little spicy and you have to stir It up immediately when it gets to your table. Because I was greedy today, I let the second bowl sit and the noodles will solidify. I definitely recommend anyone in the vicinity of this restaurant to check it out and enjoy. read more
I went here on an Sunday afternoon and the place do not have an big dine in area. There are like 5 tables inside and 3 tables right outside the restaurant. I asked what's their most popular dishes and they suggested these 2. The lamb noodle was good but it does have a strong lamb smell, so if you don't like that smell, I wouldn't advise getting it. The Shanxi noodle have an great garlic flavor mixed with chili oil. The dish would be better if they had some meat in it and not just vegetables. If noodles are your love language, especially authentic ones, then don't skip out on this place. This mom and pop serves up delicious hand-pulled noodle dishes, flavorful braised meats, and tasty veggie appetizers that complements the meal. On the most recent visit, I got the popular Henan lamb noodle soup, braised beef, woodear mushroom appetizer, and rou jia mo (chinese hamburger). -lamb noodle soup: I'm not really familiar with Henan-style food, but this noodle soup got me hooked, and those who favors lamb over any other protein can't help but to devour the whole bowl. The soup base is light with savory lamb flavor, and the hand-pulled noodles, glass noodles, shredded tofu slices, woodear mushroom, lamb slices, and quail eggs, all comes together so well, wish it was possible for me to stomach two of these bowls. -braised beef: they used beef shank and the dish is often eaten cold as an appetizer, but I like to order this as a side to have with the noodle soup. Definitely gotta try. -woodear mushroom appetizer: I like the flavoring of the vinegar, garlic, and soysauce that goes into this dish. Calling all mushroom lovers to give this a go. -rou jia mo: these chinese hamburger leaves you with no guilt after chowing down on one (or more). With a light bun stuffed with braised chopped up pork, you can't stop at one bite. They also have homemade chili oil when dining in, that will actually add some spice to your life (or food), so don't be shy to show some love to the noodles (or any of the dishes) by drenching them with the flavorful hot chili oil. Aside from amazing authentic food, service is great, and place is nice and clean. It's a small restaurant so seating is about 5-6 tables inside with a couple additional seating outside. It's conveniently located inside the Sugarland Jusgo market, so you can do a grocery trip and food run in one go. And if you're not feeling noodle soup, give these a try: the shaanxi oil noodles and noodles with sesame paste. And don't forget to grab some braised chicken, smashed cucumbers, and dry sliced tofu as well, all are good. read more
OMG! Words can't describe how good this place is! Got their black fungus appetizer, chicken appetizer (no pic), and shanxi oil noodle. All three are excellent. But if you have to try just one thing, please get the shanxi oil noodle! It's kinda amazing how well they made this noodle! Having had this type of noodle at a variety of places, I promise you this is THE BEST!! Would come back to Houston just for this dish! read more

Ordered takeout Saturday at 11am through the walk up window. Only one guy was taking orders inside and the same guy at the window. He was looking stressed. He said 30 min for the food. I said that's fine, and asked for a copy of my order ticket as confirmation (thank goodness I did). You pay upon pick up. Anyway so I came back in 30 min (I did set my timer) and stood outside at the pickup window. The place was packed. It's a tiny place so don't plan to bring a big party. I stood out at the window watching him handle the people inside. He saw me come to the window before other people inside came to the register but he ignored me. I got tired of being skipped so I went inside to the register. So my order wasn't ready. He went into the kitchen and didn't come out till my order was ready (line formed behind me). I got the oil noodles (freakin good), the sesame noodles (think peanut butter on pasta), and the pork sandwich (add the sate oil and juice and it's perfection-- not soggy at all). I didn't like the sesame paste noodle but the oil noodles and the sandwich was awesome. Come early and go inside. Don't use the window. read more

Cute Mom & Pop Shop tucked in the corner of Jusgo across from Mala Sichuan Bistro. I stopped by here on my way home from a class since I was starting to feel a bit congested and craving my Mom's home cooking. Like any good Noodle-Soup establishments the broth was packaged separately from the noodles. The noodles and beef were tender to bite into and the bok-choy and peanuts provided a crunchy textural contrast. I did find the broth to be a little anise-forwarded but not spicy. FYI They do have a $15 Card minimum but I was easily able to remedy that by adding on a Coconut Juice which I really ended up enjoying. read more
