Still on my personal Pho tour and now I have a #3 spot. I've been here twice in about almost two months. My first time, I placed a to go order and the second time, I dined in. I must say that here, the portions are consistent whether dining in or getting it to go. The broth here is flavorful. I'm learning as I tour, the foundation is what can make or break a good Pho. I've tried shrimp pho and beef, brisket & oxtail pho. Both were a 10/10. Here in the broth, you get green onions, cilantro & sliced onions. I prefer dining in because, why not. Plus, it's something about having everything within reach to perfect your pho. Although not very big inside, it's very comfortable and relatively quiet with small chatter at close by tables. I was impressed with how clean the condiments were at the table. I'm glad I decided to give this place a try.

A friend of mine and myself had wanted to try some Pho so we decided to go here to this location. This was my first time ever having Pho. The server was very friendly from the time we walked into the place until the time we left out the door. She had answered our questions that we had about the different items on the menu. I had ended up getting chicken and shrimp which was really good. I love how once they bring it out you can add your own ingredients to it. The price of the pho was not bad at all. The inside was small being that it was a small business but I was okay with this. It made the experience great. I would definitely come back here again.

Definitely in the running of being the top pho restaurant in the city! This is a lowkey restaurant. Nothing really special about the decor and they have a very limited seating in the dining room, but the food is amazing. The last time we visited the chefs must have been having an amazing day because the broth was unbelievable! Service is fast and no real memorable interaction, but not bad at all.

Super Bowl pho and special Bah min sandwich

This is our second time coming here for food and it is always a pleasure. Me and my girlfriend shared a very big Super Bowl pho and a special bah minn sandwich! Food came very fast, they are very tasty. The sandwich is little spicy but you can ask to go without peppers. The Super Bowl pho has more than enough for two people and has all types of beef ingredients. We love to explore pho restaurants in Indy and this is definitely our top choices!

I loveee this place, it's a smaller but cozy restaurant, pretty quiet imo. I always have to get the spring rolls when I come, they're very fresh and the peanut sauce gives it a slightly sweet, nutty flavor. I usually get pho, which is very filling, but I actually tried the Bun Bo Hue last time and it was great! Not really spicy like the description said but of course you can spice it up yourself. The meat was tender and the noodles are slightly thicker from the pho noodles but still great. Service is friendly overall no complaints there. Definitely would consider this place a hidden gem

This is the best pho in town. I'm definitely a regular here, and the quality is always consistent. I enjoy several other items on the menu as well--the avocado smoothie is really good and refreshing. The restaurant is very clean, and service is super fast every time. Overall, it's a place I keep coming back to and highly recommend.

Quality pho! Coming here again, plus the area is very clean and there are modern touches with the lamps and offset ceiling. Lastly, they are quick! They bring the food as quickly as possible and attend you fast!

It's been years since I ate here, and I'm glad I tried it again! The pho has so much flavor and it was served at the perfect temperature. Definitely kept me warm on a very cold day. The rice dish was alright and the peanut sauce that comes with the goi cuon had too much ginger flavor for me. Overall, good service and free parking too!

Really good pho and super sweet boba! Service can be a bit slow, cause they only have like one server. Restaurant can be a bit loud. A very nice small business that any foodie should try!

Great food and service. Small and quaint site. Very tasty and plentiful servings. Open seating and great menu. Give it a try when anywhere close.

Love love love the pho from this very unassuming restaurant in Indianapolis. I used to live in the area and was recently visiting for a convention and could not miss an opportunity to stop into one of my favorite haunts. The service is quick. The food is excellent for reasonable prices, what else can you ask for? And I always love a little spice and they do not disappoint.

I ended up getting several pastries and some bagels (as why would you not), as well as their broccoli salad, cheese sandwich and some cherry pie. Yum! It traveled well that way and got to be enjoyed by others. Will always go back to this spot as it has a special place in my heart as my Dad loved it, and it is an I su classic!

I'm not a deli kind of guy…read more But, there's just something about Shapiro's that makes me smile. I'm a lifelong hoosier, and I've always had times when I simply needed to go to Shapiro's. I've shared, quite often, of my deep appreciation for the Shapiro's response when I had accessibility concerns about their Fashion Mall location. They did a remarkably beautiful job of responding well, adapting, and yet also honoring their own business needs. The end result became a more accessible layout that was still customer friendly for everyone. I will always appreciate that response and should their praises. But, there's something special about this location. It's the look. It's the feel. It's the vibe. It's just everything. A little bit of Shapiro's history - you can trace the Shapiro family back to 1795 Ukraine. Louis and Rebecca Shapiro landed stateside in 1905; within a couple years opening a small grocery/deli. In 1925, they leaned into their cultural and faith roots after the election of Ed Jackson as governor (Jackson was a well-known Klan member). They added the word "kosher" to their building and a Star of David. (As someone who's traveled over 7,000 miles by wheelchair, I love a good act of subtle rebellion). They more and more leaned into their cafe routes, and in 1984 added a second location on the northwestside. I probably frequented this location the most since I went to Pike High School. As we all know, that location eventually closed. Fashion Mall lasted about five years. There was a Carmel spot, too. But, for me, it always comes down to this location. It's warm. It's friendly. The food is a premium deli experience. I love the meatloaf (like seriously). They have breakfast, they have a ton of baked good options (cakes, cookies, others), soups, salads, hot deli, cold deli, sandwiches, entrees, and a whole lot more. I love the baked goods. I love the fried chicken. Is it a bit pricey? Yep. You also get enough for at least a couple meals (if you can truly hold out that long). Accessibility is solid here. I've already talked about their attention to that kind of detail. It's real AND it's sincere. Strangely enough, I've never had the Reuben here. It's one of their acclaimed sandwiches, but there's always something else I want more. While you can spend a fair amount here, you can also eat here pretty modestly. Shapiro's, at least for me, is one of those places that defines Indy. I'd likely weep if they ever left our city. Good food. Great family. Wonderful location. Fair pricing. Accessible. Quite honestly, it's just about everything I want a restaurant to be.

Several of the items on the menu were very appealing, the B&B Omelet, Croque Monsieur, and Ribeye French Dip to name a few, but I opted for the Little Gem Caesar with Blackened Salmon. My husband ordered The Traveler with eggs over-medium. Everything was perfectly prepared. The proportions for the salad were just right and the salmon was juicy, flavorful and crisp from the blackening. My husband wasn't expecting the somewhat unique preparation of the breakfast potatoes, but I found them to be satisfyingly crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I also ordered the seasonal Strawberry Margarita with a sugar rim. It was light and refreshing. The atmosphere is very chic, stylish and feels very upscale. The dining room, and even the restrooms, boast this amazing natural light from all of the great, big windows! Our server, Roop, was kind and attentive and the hostess was warm and inviting. We will definitely return to try some of the other offerings in the future. Very cute brunch spot!
