It ended up being a pleasant surprise, the spice level was spot on, with just the right balance of tang, heat, and crunch I was looking for. My only note is that it could've used more greens. The single layer of lettuce on the bottom didn't quite cut it. I understand why it's done that way, adding more might make it soggy, but something like crisp like raw string beans or haricots verts could add both freshness and volume without sacrificing texture. Still, overall, I really really enjoyed it! The grilled beef over vermicelli was solid, fresh and flavorful, but the small container of fish sauce wasn't quite enough to tie everything together. We did takeout for this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation. I usually don't order from this area because parking can be limited due to the busy boulevard but so glad we did. The food is flavorful and great portions. The pho had enough meat and noodles. The broth was great and not incredibly salty as some other places. The rice dishes were plentiful and superb serving of meat. The sandwich would have been a solid winner if they didn't pack it in aluminum foil which causes sogginess. I would recommend using the paper/waxy bags or even just a paper bag to maintain the crispiness of the bread. But a softer bread did not takeaway from the powerful punch of flavor and the right balance of ingredients in the sandwich. Divine! So tasty and would get it again - perhaps I'll toast it on my own. Definitely a good banh mi choice in Queens. The price is fantastic. Keep it this way and you'll have a constant fan base returning. Great food, great prices and service was fast and kind when I went to pick up. On top of that, their interior looks adorable so would consider dining in next time. We were debating which pho restaurant to go to for my brother's birthday, and ended up choosing Pho Thai because we have not been before. We ordered the House Special Pho ($13.95), Rare Ribeye and Tendon Pho ($12.95), Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) with chicken ($15.95), Pineapple fried rice with beef ($14.95), Crispy Salt and Pepper Squid ($17.95), and Spring Rolls (large $10.95). I think they give a good amount of meat in each pho bowl. Meat was tender and good quality, but when you have pho, the star should be the piping hot broth. The soup was just warm when it came to the table, and the noodles were a bit under cooked. The best item was the drunken noodles, but it tasted more like Pad See Ew to me... It was more on the sweeter side with only a mild spice. Unfortunately, the pineapple fried rice was not good at all... The beef was tender and soft, but flavorless. The salt and pepper squid was decent. Squid was meaty and there was a light batter. Could go for a little more salt and pepper on the squid and have it be a little crispier. They were wrapped nicely and filled plenty of shrimp. I loved the peanut sauce it was served with. Next they brought out fried tofu vermicelli. Big portion with plenty of vermicelli and tofu. I believe it had a garlic, ginger sauce. A vinegar forward dish. The last item we had was the pork bahn mi. Served on an ultra crunchy Vietnamese style baguette. Pork bits were marinated in a sweet and savory sauce. Plenty of crunchiness coming from pickled carrots and cucumbers. Plenty of mayo to augment the savoriness. Service was quick. Pacing of the food was very good (especially for a casual restaurant). There was one restroom which was handicap accessible. I came here for dinner during the week. The staff is friendly, attentive, and warm. I ordered the grilled beef vermicelli, and it was a large portion! The dish has tomatoes, cucumbers, bean sprouts, carrots, lettuce and of course, grilled beef and vermicelli. I appreciated the veggies that you don't usually find in this dish! The only dish that I wasn't crazy about is the Curry Beef Stew w.Potatoes. this dish has great flavors but the beef should have been simmered longer; the beef was very tough. Yummy pho and appetizers! I got the ribeye and fish ball pho. It's not a clear broth like traditional pho, but I actually prefer this. The crispy shrimp rolls and the rolled beef appetizers are also super yummy. They also provide complimentary hot tea -- and it's a nice tea! The location is bright and clean! Only feedback would be more attentive service since they only refilled the tea once (and didn't provide any water), and I couldn't get their attention for the check even though the restaurant was empty. Decided to try this for dinner. We went at 7p on a Saturday and the place wasn't full (3 tables seated) at the time. By the time we left around 8p, all the tables were full. It is not surprising because the place was well serviced with friendly and prompt service. Glasses were constantly refilled without being asked to do so. Food was quite tasty and you get your money's worth. Portions are large and priced quite reasonably! We had two orders of pad Thai with chicken. A small bowl of Tom yum soup that had good size pieces of chicken and peppers. A grilled pork cold rice vermicelli bowl that was large and the pho with grilled pork chops was also large. Tried the grilled beef vermicelli bowl for pick up so I can't speak for the restaurant. Service for pick up was super quick even tho I got there early. It is decently big inside with plenty of tables. They were superrrr generous with the amount of beef they gave, I was so surprised. There were also cucumbers, carrots, and slices of tomatoes in addition to the sauce that's in there and additional sauce in a container. I loved the garlicky taste and the sweet and tangy sauce. Only critique was that some of the added sauce made things a little soaked by the time I got home but that's probably a problem of ordering and eating it 30 mins later. Been here twice with family member after physician appointment. Not a lot of Vietnamese/Thai restaurants here in the neighborhood and nice to know there is one right on Queens Blvd. Restaurant is nicely decorated, bright and inviting on the inside. Here are the items we ordered -The Rare Ribeye Pho on both visits- Even though the soup base is definitely not the usual Vietnamese Pho base, we ate it and like it. Family member said it was a tad salty. The noodle were clumped together like a rice bowl size which was a good portion. I truly enjoyed the raw ribeye as it cooked in the Pho and I sprinkle basil and parsley (came in a side plate for Pho). -The Beef Pad Thai- The Pad Thai noodles were all stuck together and the beef was a tad over cooked which made it tough to chew. We did not order this again on the second visit instead we ordered the Basil Beef with rice plate which was really good. The health department has been informed. AVOID! I'm a regular person to order the fantastic or thought was fantastic food until, I received my order today. I don't think the dead sea would even cover how salty the food was, not just one dish but ALL dishes. I could die because of this. I actually got physically sick to my stomach and threw up within 2 minutes of eating my first bite. After today, I will not return and I hope the health department steps in. We got all six dishes all together, one right after the other and didn't get a chance to fully enjoy and eat the appetizers so some of the food got cold. Service with a smile as they came around to fill your tea quite frequently. There wasn't much decorate to make the place feel you're walking into a local place in Vietnam or Thailand. Each dish looked similar since each one was served with good amount of carrot strips, few slices of cucumber and tomato, on or with lettuce. Grilled BBQ pork belly were in small, thin slices- sweet marinade, reminded us of filipino bbq. Some fatty pieces but couldn't resist. Not only is it brand new and shiny, the quality is authentic and the pricing is similar to ones you would see in Elmhurst or Flushing. You can get bowls of pho, grilled meat with rice or vermicelli, or BBQ platters for $11.95 or $12.95. The portions were huge and the meat is very flavorful. I ordered a beef pho and beef cube over rice. Both were underwhelming and lacking. The beef pho broth was cloudy, with barely any beef flavor or any flavor actually. They give a lot of tendon but it was no flavor at all either. The more I'm eating the pho the more I feel like I'm eating watered down noodles with pieces of beef. I couldn't even finish it. The beef cube over rice also did not taste authentic. At most it's a beef and garlic stir fry. It was really dry too. I was really excited to see a new Vietnamese place open up, especially so close to home. Typically I would have to schlep to Elmhurst or Flushing to get Vietnamese food. I have only gotten take out here a few times. The staff is nice and the food is generally decent. -Spring rolls are tasty and crispy. -Thai salad was nothing to write home about and incredible small. -Pho the packaging for take out is great very nice presentation however my issue was with the broth. It did not have beef flavor and was pure salt. Maybe when I had it that was an off day but I only had it one time and haven't had the courage to try it again. -Pork chop over rice this is definitely one of the top items in my opinion. Pork chop glaze is very tasty and the portion is quite sizeable. -I have had the pork, chicken, and beef bahn mi. The order I listed them in is from best to worst. Not that the beef one was horrible, it was just really salty and there was very little beef. Happy to have this place so close by. New Vietnamese/Thai restaurant in Rego Park - nice!! I've been here several times now, and it's a great spot for a quick and yummy meal. Each visit, I've ordered the rare ribeye pho and added beef ball. I've also tried the chicken satay appetizer. The chicken skewers are good, but what really stands out about the chicken satay is the SAUCE. It has a perfect slight kick to it and is full of flavor. The pho broth is also flavorful and served nice and hot. The portions of meat are very generous and you will leave very full. The service is pretty good. Sometimes you may need to ask for things (think chopsticks or a refill of your water), but they always are very quick to accommodate requests and their staff is available around the restaurant for easy eye contact to flag them down. The ambiance is cute and cozy, nothing over the top but very comfortable for while you enjoy your meal. Overall, highly recommend making a visit (or many) here!! read more

Pho was good and it tasted like they simmered their broth for a good amount of itme! Salad was spicy just the way I like it so if you're looking for thai spicy.. get this! Crab summer roll.. i mean crab in a summer roll - MY FAV. A tiny bit disappointed with the calamari because it wasn't as crispy as we had hoped it to be.. maybe it could be double fried? Another note... I ordered the crab summer roll and the house special combo 1 pho. The crab summer roll was good but the sauce they have it pair with does not go well I'm pretty sure they used the japanese kewpie dressing which is typically for salad. They should swamp it out for the regular peanut dressing that you use for the summer roll or no sauce at all. I had to use sriracha with it which taste so much better. The house special combo pho didn't have any of the pho rich flavor the broth was creamy rather than your traditional clear and brown pho broth. It lacked a lot of the lemongrass and pho flavors, not a ton of meat but a lot of noodles. Came here for takeout on a Sunday night during their grand opening. I was very excited for the first Vietnamese restaurant to open in the Rego Park area and my expectations were pretty low - was just hoping I'd have a fast spot to go to if I had a craving for Vietnamese cuisine. Included green onions, sweet onions, bean sprouts, sauces - the standard stuff. For the grand opening special, the meals came with either 2 spring rolls or a Thai iced tea at no cost. We chose the spring rolls and they were very good! It was not just a veggie spring roll (hate that) and had pork filling. Even though we were ordering takeout, they brought out hot tea for us while we waited which was such a nice touch during their grand opening. It's the little things that count. Very nice people. Their menu is also pretty standard for a Vietnamese restaurant (rice dishes, vermicelli noddles, etc) so will def try those next time.
