This review is for pho only. It is good and satisfies the pho craving and they are the only ones that open at 11:00am..vs others ate 11:30. There is no wait time, service is pretty quick. The place is very bright and large compared to most pho places. The pho is one size now and I always get the house special with all the cuts of meats. The worst part this pho is the tendon is over cooked. The bowl seems a bit small but they do give plenty of noodles. The bowl is deeper than it looks. Just came back from eating here less than 2 hours ago. It is actually my 2nd time eating here, and although the food was okay, the experience was unacceptable. We found a piece of hair in our Summer Roll, which we informed our waiter. I understand it is not likely the server's fault. However, if you are eating a dish and hair comes out of it, a normal person would obviously like to hear an appropriate apology regarding the issue. We informed the waiter and he swiftly took it away stating, "I'm sorry about that." Okay. Then there wasn't any update. No further message from anyone. We asked for the check and found they casually removed the Summer Roll. Glad I took this photo before they removed the dish. We all have extra 6 dollars in our wallet to pay for an appetizer. All we wanted was a better service. Update: To clarify, although the item was taken off the bill, it was NOT replaced. The server took it away immediately and never returned. My wife and I were in Fort Lee because she couldn't take the Lincoln tunnel to cross the Hudson due to a sanitation truck wrecking upside down on the 495 hence closing down the Lincoln tunnel Jersey bound. Once she arrived at Fort Lee she decided she wanted Pho, so I checked Yelp (my trusty eatery app) to find a good Pho place for us to enjoy. Yelp gave us a few good places but Pho Today caught our attention because of its close proximity to GWB and 95. I am telling you, we weren't disappointed. Stepping inside it's spacious and very clean. We were greeted and seated by a nice young man by the name of Seung. He also took our order, while Angela helped bring our meals and cleaned up our table. Big Thanks to Angela & Seung. Once seated I asked for a Thai Iced Tea (well mixed) and my wife got Coconut juice. My tea was perfect not too sweet, not too bitter. Wife's Coconut juice was refreshing with tasty slices of coconut present. For appetizer we decided to get a Shrimp & Pork summer roll. It came with a peanut sauce that was divine. For entree my wife got the Special Pho called: Phô Dåc Biêt, it comes with Rare Steak, Well Done Flank, Brisket, Tendon & Tripe. I ordered: Cóm Tâm Today which is Grilled Pork Chop, Shredded Pork, Egg Quiche, Spring Roll, Fried Shrimp Tofu and Fried Egg over rice. Both of our dishes were exceptionally tasteful. Not sure how this place has four stars. The Chicken Pho is a huge NO. The chicken is flavorless and rubbery? I kept trying to like the chicken, but it was just so dry. How can chicken be dry in a broth? The broth was flavorless as well. Tasted like beef water which also blew my mind considering we ordered chicken. I really enjoyed my first time eating here. I dined in with a friend for lunch on a Sunday and it was packed. I had their combination beef pho. The broth was flavorful and the noodles were cooked perfectly. They gave a good amount of beef. I didn't like how they charged me for extra onions on the side (usually free of charge at other restaurants). So far, I've tried all the local pho restaurants but this one is my favorite. We ordered: * Pho Today Dac Biet: I wanted to try their special pho because how else you determine the authenticity of a pho restaurant if you didn't get this item? It definitely was better than what I expected. The noodles were not soggy, and perfect in texture. The broth was flavorful, and not too salty like many of the other Vietnamese restaurants I've tried. It did not leave me wanting to down a gallon of water after. The meats were all tender and it was a generous portion. Heck, even the vegetables (beansprouts, basil, etc.) that accompany the dish was fresh. * Shrimp and Pork Spring Rolls: I was glad to see that whole shrimps were used in making these. They did not skimp out on the ingredients used, I can even see the wood ear mushrooms that are standard part of this dish. It was fried just right, with no excess oils so I didn't feel too guilty breaking my diet and eating this. Overall, the service is fast and attentive. It's not bad here but it's not great either. When this place first opened, it was my go to for authentic Vietnamese in Fort Lee. Unfortunately I don't think that's the case any longer. The pho broth is watery and lacks depth, the banh mi bread is fluffy instead of crunchy, and there's only ever one waiter running around the whole restaurant trying to host and wait tables. I visited here and Pho Saigon back to back so maybe that's why the contrast seems so stark, but if you're looking for Vietnamese in the area, Pho Saigon is the stronger option between the two. read more

It's unfortunate that I have to re-rate my review from 2 years ago. First impression when standing outside, you would think that the restaurant is closed because it looks very dark inside and even from the outside, there isn't much lighting either. Owner might want to at very least put up an LED light to show that it's "open". We almost didn't go in but decided to take a peek. Both my husband and I ordered pho. Normally this place doesn't disappoint but today they did. First off, anyone who eats pho knows that every restaurant gives you a big plate of veggies (mainly bean sprouts and basils) for the pho. They brought out a small plate of basils only. When we asked for bean sprouts they told us they ran out. Mind out, we were there for early dinner (not 15mins before they close). How do you run out of bean sprouts?? Having pho without this key ingredient is like having turkey on thanksgiving without gravy. Bean sprouts is not a difficult item to replenish. They should have sent someone to run to the nearby market (which we know there are plenty of H marts and other supermarkets in Fort Lee) to get some. My husband was super excited to try the short ribs pho. For $22.95 they gave a good portion of beef on a bone. Sadly the meat was too tough. Couldn't enjoy it. The two stars was for the beef broth. At least it still has some flavor. We also tried to order their Vietnamese dessert drinks but that too they didn't have. Kind of tough to run a successful business if you don't have items you're offering on the menu. Service was also lacking even though there were two wait staffs and only two tables were occupied. I frequent this place quite a bit but I've just about had it with this place. Their service is absolutely horrendous. I went there today for lunch today, walked in and didn't even get acknowledged until I had to walk up to the cashier and ask for a table. When one was pointed it out it wasn't even bussed. Sat down and waited for the waiter to wipe down the table half-assed. Are you kidding? My 3 year old cleans better than you! Then another 5 minutes pass before placing my order. When the waiter brings the food out and I realize there are no limes waiter says sorry man we ran out of limes. There is a damn grocery store across the street. Go get some until your delivery arrives! The worst is that employees from management down are constantly on their cell phones surfing and txting. Our waiter went on break mid-service to get a protein drink or something. I literally saw him put on his coat and leave the restaurant. TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS. So glad to have this place in Fort Lee as I always had to drive elsewhere whenever the Vietnamese cravings hit. Prefer the soup based dishes here over the other stuff because the broths here are legit - clean and loaded with flavor even without additional condiments. Between pho and Bun Bo Hue, I actually prefer their Hue style broth and setup better. The pho portion was massive with the extra large. The bowl was also loaded with plenty of beef. Noodle felt a bit over though. Grilled pork chop was excellent and the rice plate was also loaded on portion. Fried spring rolls were disappointing. Think the price is high for just two small rolls. Banh Xeo was massive, but failed on the needed crispiness for texture. The amount of onion and sprouts added made it way too soggy. The grilled chicken banh mi didn't fare so well either. Thought the chicken could have used more lemongrass and better seasoning. Something just felt missing... Perhaps it would have done better with pork chop in there instead. 3.5 rounded up at this point. Hope they up their game on non soup based items. read more

Yummy. A quick easy place for some good Vietnamese food. The large bowl of Pho was large enough. I cant imagine the XL size. But filled with good rice noodles and meat. The brooth is just right. A good flavor. They give you the side platter of sprouts, basil and hot peppers as well. Plus they have the suaces on the table for extra spice.
