    Hamburgu
    Tom C.

Located inside the H-Mart in Ridgefield. It's a food court that consist of 5-6 different food stalls. Each offers something a little different. I use to frequent this place when I did most of my grocery shopping in person pre-COVID but these days I get often get their food delivered. They are on Uber Eats and it's really convenient. Of course it's not as good as having it as soon as it's plated but the 15-20 min it takes to get to me, it think many of their dishes are still very much acceptable. I really like their budaejiga (army stew) and rice cake soup but their hamburgu and fried chicken is not bad either. Worth checking out the next time you get your groceries there or if you want some variety in delivery.

A typical food court. You order your food at the cashier. It took several tries before the cashier got my order right. The place is a bit loud. There are a lot of tables so it's good for big groups. I ordered sweet spicy chicken wings. It was okay. If your hungry while shopping at HMart at least they have a place to eat.

    청국장

Went here today. Order 청국장. It was the worst I've ever had in US. I've had it in Korea before--it became my favorite dish, but this was a flavorless, mushy, salty mess. My wife (who is a native Korean) ordered 사천짜장면. It was a spicy, tasteless, goop. So gross. The cashier and manager were rude too. We paid a whopping $30 for both dishes (so much cheaper in Korea), and we felt cheated. We didn't eat much of the dishes, just a couple bites, so we told the cashier that we wanted our money back. Why should I pay for something I hate and am not going to eat. She snapped at my wife and said: 1. Nobody has ever returned this meal before, so it must be a problem with your taste. 2. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean you can just return it. 3. Your husband probably doesn't know what 청국장 tastes like (because I'm a white American) I lived in Asia for 15 years lady.... The manager came by, scoffed at my wife, and caved in and gave our money back (after ridiculing us in front of everyone). Don't go to this dirty, disgusting cafeteria. The food is bad, the place is dirty, and the staff have a dirty attitude. Crossing my fingers they go out of business soon

I've been to this H-Mart a few times but never knew this food court was back here. They have different Asian cuisines, including Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. We ordered a bibimbap and some fried chicken. The bibimbap was not bad. Obviously, it won't be the best but it will do if you are craving Korean food. It comes with a soup, fish cake, and some kimchi. Plus, the portions are big for the price you pay. The fried chicken was surprisingly good. I didn't have high expectations for this but I really liked it. It was cooked perfectly - even the white meat was tender. This comes with pickled radishes. Just beware that it takes about 20 minutes to get your order, because they fry it fresh. Wouldn't mind coming back again next time I'm doing some grocery shopping here.

We used to frequent this food court more often. Lots of choices from noodles to rice to fried chicken to Japanese. Took us about 10 mins to decide what we wanted. The Korean noodle soup and ramen were a bit disappointing as there were very little ingredients other than the noodles. The fried rice used to be great until my dad found a tiny wire in his food half way.

This is my seafood on rice hot pod A-19 , as you can see there is no seafood in there , some greens and a shrimp in the center, but when you look at the bright screen with images of foods , the picture is looking very delicious, don't be fooled with the pictures, this is happening to me second time , last experience was with my mushroom order . Korean friends please give what you show , this is kind of disappointing situation. This time cashier was more active, took my food away and replaced it with Chinese seafood plate , which was nice of him . My husband had cod fish soup , it was good .

A mini food court tucked at the back of Hmart grocery store! There are a few vendors - Korean/ Japanese/ Chinese/ Fried chicken. The ordering system is really easy, check out all the vendors, pick which number you want and order at the cashier. The cashier would then hand you a recipe with a number (like you would in a bank). Find a seat and wait for your number! I ordered a bowl of soon tofu (+$9)....though it was sizzling hot and all, the taste was just OK. Nothing memorable. I was expecting a bunch of korean ajima to cook but i guess not.... Since there are a few korean restaurants nearby to Hmart, i am not sure if i will dine here again. Not recommended

Ordered via uber eats today and was extremely disappointed. The styrofoam package was broken so all the jjampong (spicy seafood noodle soup) broth leaked into the plastic bag it was in. Also ordered tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) which was the worst I've ever had. It was very dry and the sauce it comes in was more of a water like consistency, not enough starch to thicken the sauce.

I don't know about the other reviewers but Food Avenue is great! Lot of options to order from however even though it was not busy the service was really slow. Just be prepare to wait a while for your food to be ready. Get the fried chicken from Toreore Chicken and Joy and you won't regret it. It was flavorful and sooooo juicy!!! The kimbap was also good and the Tteok-bokki. Gotta come back again.

As good as any other food court experience. There are lots of options for you and your family/friends to choose from: Korean, Chinese, and Japanese dishes. Very affordable with huge portions. Would only dine here if shopping at Hmart and I was starving.

OMG! Amazing food court. 1) They have a large selection. 2) The food consists of almost everything Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and some Vietnamese and modern Fusion Asian like Korean fried chicken. 3) The prices are reasonable and the portions are huge!

This place is so yummy! So far I've had the Avocado Cobb salad, tuna melt wrap and the chicken avocado sandwhich and everything is AMAZINGLY FRESH. I seriously ate the avocado Cobb salad without any dressing and it was still bomb.

I have tried pretty much every venue in this food court so far I like them all. Today I am having (Spicy seafood Noodle) for lunch. There is plenty seafood in this bowl!!!

I ordered the Unagi Don Gozen ($42)- it came with a whole tray of different delicious items, with the star of the show being a generous amount of unagi (eel) over rice. The eel was cooked very well and the rice was flavorful with a bit of sweetness. There was also a small bowl of udon noodles, some sashimi, a crispy tempura shrimp in a yummy creamy sauce, flavorful edamame, mashed potato with corn, and some pickled veggies - quite the diverse array, all of which was tasty. The restaurant itself has a rather simple yet elegant Japanese wooden design. The prices suggest it's a more high end place, but the vibe is actually rather casual. The staff are very attentive and the service speed is pretty quick. Overall, I would definitely give Moru 4.5 stars if I could. I think it's great for most types of occasions, and the only reasons it's not getting 5 stars is because I do think the prices are a tad higher than I would've hoped and I think they could've done a bit more in terms of designing the place to match the price point. That being said, I still highly recommend Moru, especially for a nice lunch.

Heard a lot of great things about this place, so this place has been on my list for quite awhile…read moreand finally made it. If you want amazing, fresh, and supreme sushi, this is the place! If you are thinking, no need to think. Go! Trust me! You won't regret it! First of all, the sushi chefs are Japanese, so you know that the sushi is going to be legit. And it was busy there from customers and take-out, so you know that everything will be fresh, too. There were so many options to choose from the menu, so I had to ask for a recommendation. My friend and I were recommended to try the omakase option and, boy, that was a perfect choice! There were 3 types of omakase and we chose the first one. -Sushi omakase - $70 -Sashimi omakase - $80 -Sushi & sashimi omakase - $90 This was my first omakase experience where I walked out super full and impressed. -We were advised to eat each piece without soy sauce because each piece was curated with their own unique flavors. -After our first bite, we were advised that we could ask the sushi chef to adjust the rice and wasabi ratio in each sushi piece. We decided to keep it as is. -The wasabi here is really good, but spicy, so if you can't handle the spiciness, definitely ask for less. I was crying because of the wasabi but I didn't want it to be adjust because it was so good. -On the menu, it states that you have 2 hours, which allowed us to enjoy the omakase at a nice pace. -The udon soup you get in the end is made with hand-cut, chewy noodles and it was a perfect ending. -And this omakase also includes a dessert at the end, which was a perfect sweet ending. I hope you made the right decision to come here for your sushi craving/experience. Once you come here, I bet this will be your regular sushi spot. Tips: -Yamagata in a small shopping plaza with parking, but it fills up fast. There is metered parking on the street if needed. -This place is cozy and intimate, so if you are planning to come at a busy time, I would suggest calling to make a reservation. -For the omakase experience, if you can, sit at the sushi counter so that you could get the full experience by getting each sushi piece from the sushi chef.

Strangely enough I missed trying this dish on a trip to Tokyo last year…read more I had it on the list to try but didn't get a chance given all the foodie items I had on my list. While I can't vouch for authenticity but I can vouch for a delicious bite. Sazanami Hamba-Gu is notable for their Japanese Hamburger Steak, which is a hamburger without the bun, a very popular dish in Japan. Their version was served on a platter with rice, vegetables, miso soup, and chawanmushi. The patty itself was very juicy and tender and noted on the menu as a beef and pork combination. I included some addons which made my entree far more pricer. The fried egg was a good call while the double cheese probably wasn't necessary. I got the recommended red wine demi-glacé and another with the soy onion. The red wine was better in my opinion. Also got a tonkatsu to share and while the breading was very good the pork was a little drier than other ones I've had. I'd skip the tonkatsu and stick with the Hambu-gu as that was definitely more notable. Service was friendly but the entree does take time to prepare. I'd say think twice if you are in a hurry.

The concept here centers around their hambagu which at the other location was limited per day and was served with their signature curry. We got a few appetizers and enjoyed each one thoroughly. The tartare was a standout. For mains we got red wine demiglace hambagu and the kaisondon. The hambagu was as good as I remember; juicy, tender, explosion of flavor. I would love for there to have been a curry option though as it was truly my favorite J curry in the states. The miso soup is also is different. It's more like what you'd typically find as opposed to their previous homey version. Overall very solid spot from one of my favorites.
