I've lost count on what number pho spot this is in South Jersey. It's in a small plaza that can be easily missed. It's a nice sized restaurant, clean and plenty of seating. They accept credit cards. We ordered two special pho, fried spring rolls, rice chicken platter and an iced coffee. Total came to $52+. The pho broth was on the sweeter side. But they give a lot of beef and noodles. Tucked away in a strip mall with an awkward entry, one can easily miss this gem. A vast array of Vietnamese cuisine awaits the intrepid. It's a no-frills, clean and comfortable place with a lot of tables. But I have a feeling most people take out. There were a lot of Vietnamese customers who came in/out which we took as a good sign. The S45 (tofu lettuce wrap) was smoky and chewy - a great way to start your meal. The A6 (tofu spring roll) was the least impressive of all our items. The entrees were all of a good portion and delicious. The D135 (tofu lemongrass) was great as were the eggplant, vermicelli and D139 (shrimp). Each item had its own sauce and flavor profile. This is not a Thai or Chinese joint, nor do they dabble in sushi like other 'fusion' places. It's a pure play on Vietnamese cuisine, which is refreshing. The only nit was our impersonal server. He had little interest in engaging with us. A tablet to order might have had more personality. I decided to try it here since it was only right down the street. They say everything happens for a reason, right? I found my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant. The atmosphere was very welcoming, relaxing, and laid back. I liked the inside of the restaurant between the lighting and colors. Everything seemed very clean. I arrived on the later side so it wasn't too busy and the service was good. I decided on Steamed Dumplings Sampler and Eye Round & Brisket Pho. The dumplings came out first which were very good. The pho was the star of the show. Generous size bowl filled with delicious and flavorful broth and plenty of meat. I liked the quality of the beef. And the prices were very reasonable. Let me just say that I'm happy that the first restaurant I went to tonight didn't work out because it lead me to Pho Viet. My first time trying Pho and it was flavorful, fresh tasting, and delicious. The broth had a ton of flavor, the veggies were fresh, the meat was tender and delicious. The grilled pork rolls were amazing. I will be back simply for those, lots of flavor and again very fresh tasting. The downside of the Pho is that it was wayyy too much food. No way would I be able to finish that and after I ate all the meat I wouldn't just take home the noodles and broth. Personal opinion. Broth is good but they're very stingy with the meat. You'll find yourself taking a few bites of meat in the beginning and all of a sudden you're left with a big bowl of just noodles. Heard a lot of good things about this place, reviews all look good, however I was a little skeptical since I never see anyone at the place. But today we went in! Only one other couple inside. Large menu, with lots of different items from pho to meals, lots of appetizers and other things. We started out with the dumpling sampler which was delicious. Crispy fried dumplings a couple different varieties very tasty. I had the meatball and brisket pho which had a delicious broth and large meatballs chunks and brisket which was nice and tender. Came here with my girlfriend for a pho date. The service here is very nice. We started off with veggie spring rolls which were very good. The pho was pretty good, but it was oddly to me on the sweeter side. I asked for no cilantro, but they accidentally added it anyway, but the lady was nice and apologetic about it. The flavor selection for smoothies looked good, but I didn't end up getting one be sure my friend pointed out that they use powder. Wow, now in pretty much a one mile radius there are three Vietnamese restaurants! Pho Viet is a new and nice addition to the ever growing Asian food presence in the Cherry Hill area. This restaurant is attractive inside. It is sleek, modern and contemporary. We stopped in for lunch and had the Summer Rolls, Bhan Mi with grilled chicken and beef Pho. The Summer Rolls were very fresh and the peanut dipping sauce was excellent. I really liked the Bahn Mi also. My dining partner and myself both thought the Pho was good but the flavor profiles weren't quite there yet. I wish we tried the spring rolls as Kelly C. wrote they were as good as Pho Eden's and those are the gold standard around here. Something to remember for next time. Some people like cheesesteaks. Others like burgers. I tend to lean towards Vietnamese food quite often. So when I see a place that I hadn't eaten before, I let the reviews guide me there. Pho Viet sits tucked in a tiny strip of businesses. But the reviews pretty much say to drive slow and find this place. A somewhat modern interior with not so modern (but nice) tables and seats. What surprised me here was what I didn't hear... Most Vietnamese restaurants have a moderate level of noise in it at the minimum. This place was really quiet and peaceful, with relaxing music playing. The service was prompt considering that the front of the house was a one man show. The food was served quickly and for the most part piping hot. My only issue here was with my steamed dumplings sampler appetizer. One half of the appetizer was hot. The other half was lukecool.. Yes. It was a step or two below lukewarm!! Other than that, I enjoyed my visit here for lunch. Too many positives here to allow what was possibly an oversight to get between myself and another good lunch or dinner option. read more

I was visiting the area to see a friend and listen, I love my friend, but I'd fly across the country again just to eat here. It was seriously that good. The Bun bo hue was fine. Although the noodles were perfect and the sliced meats tender, the typical contents of a bun bo hue weren't in there. I visited Pho Viet for the second time the other day. This visit, I tried the Brisket Pho and the Steamed Dumplings. The dumplings were good, but nothing special. The pho was very good, but I don't order pho too often, so I can't give a confident thumbs up or thumbs down on the overall quality of it. On my previous visit, I tried the pork banh mi, which again, was good, but nothing special. I probably would not get the banh I'm here again, as there are better options in the area. I would come back for the pho though. My wife ordered the grilled shrimp vermicelli, which is he go to when we have Vietnamese. Again, she said it was good, but not the best she's had.
