The service here reminded me of when I was visiting my galpal's up-and-starting restaurant. She couldn't afford having a server for longer than a few hours... but this place has been here for ages-- a sacred space that my one friend held dearly since high school. The pho here was and still is his favorite thing to eat. That made it a little saddening, seeing the place so empty at 7pm. Two hours to close, and there wasn't much of a dinner rush. The owner was our server for the night, and he was very sweet to everyone who walked in. The community primarily orders takeout, I guess, but he seemed happy to have a table or two. My friend and I got a few little things to share, and I've got to say that I remember the broth in the pho being a bit saltier (from the one time before that I'd joined him after school). I'm happy that it's now more savory, herbal, and light -- I could've easily drank the entire bowl without regret. The broken rice was also good, although I liked the steak more than the other toppings. It had a teriyaki glaze flavor, while the chicken and crab cake were respectively dry or oddly-textured... A little dip into the chili oil helped that, though. The table also had a few sauces to drizzle over anything that felt lacking. Spring rolls were probably the least interesting: Flavor was good, but they were much smaller than what I'd normally see; more like hors d'oeuvres than appetizers. They still hit the spot fine, but I think I'll try something else next time. Overall, the place felt homey and welcoming. Located right beside Sundae's, it's a great little gem for lunch or dinner before getting your sweet fixes on. Don't forget to grab a Boba to go. I was heavily pleased by the pearls being still warm and perfectly soft! I'd come back just for that, but I've apparently reawakened an old spark with my friend's childhood memories. We'll be back often enough with that. The business is open from noon to 9, same as its sweet neighbor, so if you're ever in the area and fixing for some Vietnamese, drop in and try this little spot out. My boyfriend and I love to go to different Vietnamese spots and try their food because the taste of the broth really differs based upon the location. We were in the area and decided to go on Google and look up local Vietnamese places and came upon this location. The inside is clean and simply decorated with real plants and local Vietnamese art on the walls. The bathrooms were very, very clean and well-maintained. When we arrived there was no one there to greet us so we sat ourselves and looked over the menus while we waited for someone to come. It looks like the owner came over to approach us and greeted us with glasses of water and asked us if we need any help or had any questions. He was very prompt with delivering us our appetizer of vegetable spring rolls and was able to modify our dishes to how we wanted it with no issues. If you're in the local area and are interested in trying out some good for that is very close to a traditional with simple decor and delicious options. This pho restaurant is clean, spacious and bright, but the food was quite disappointing. We ordered the grilled pork chop pho soup and the regular pho soup. Unlike most pho restaurants where they separate the grilled pork chop from the soup, this restaurant put all the grilled pork chop into the soup. The amount of the pork chop seems really little. So I just moved to the area and I really wanted some good Chinese food. It was just after 8 and almost all the stores were closed so I was on my way to Wawa and I happened to see this place on my way by it and I quickly pulled in. The place smelled wonderful so I placed an order of Bourbon chicken and took it home. When I got there I was thinking I just hope it is as good as it smells and oh it was. I ordered Pho with thin sliced beef. As you may know, Pho is very simple dish but requires a very good soup. I've been eating pho many times (almost always pho when I dine in Vietnamese...), so my verdict for Pho Le is three stars. Soup is weak and beef slices are rather harder meat. The red hot sauce taste hot but missing some flavors/spices. The interior is clean and bathroom was ok. There are TVs on the wall so you can see if you want. This is quiet place. That's good. Not much familiar around this area, but you can have very nice ice cream at the next door. If there is more Vietnamese restaurants around, I'd explore others as well. read more

I have to say I'm surprised at the authenticity of the food when im in the middle of nowhere. I came here because my family was at diggerland. We ordered the porkchop over rice and the bbq pork banh mi. Both were awesome and very authentic. The porkchop was a good thickness and was also a good portion. I suppose it felt a little expensive but I can't really complain that there are solid options like this in a place like berlin, NJ. This fried rice had absolutely no flavor at all. The chicken and shrimp were so dry. Even the spring rolls were bad. We spend a good $60 dollars in food and it was the worst thing I've invested in. I loved their food! My boyfriend and I got the beef pho for takeout the other night and it was delicious! I got to place an online order which was super convenient! I went to pick it up and was the only customer, so my order was ready by the time I got there. Since it is takeout, it's not the original experience, but it was still amazing. I got a big container of broth with the beef in it and the noodles and toppings on the side. I was unsure of what some of the toppings were, but the sauce was delicious! Very good food - just moved to the area and did a Yelp search to find Pho Le nearby. If you're going south on Rt 73, look for the left turn right past the restaurant. If you miss it, and traffic is heavy and can't exit to the right quickly, you'll be driving a bit to find a turn around. We had the chicken curry and vegetable pad thai for entrees and the shrimp papaya for an appetizer. All good portions and reasonably priced in comparison to other restaurants. Not a big fan of this place. Service was nice, but the food itself was just meh! It was overpriced and not very flavorful. My dish was the bun dac biet. This is a rice vermicelli noodle (dry) with "all the fixings." Now, I put that in quotes because it didn't have what other Vietnamese places would have. Yes, it had the egg roll, shrimp, and nem nuong, but it was missing the grilled beef/pork. I guess that was my fault for not reading the menu 100% and just assumed. It came with chicken and a bit too much of it. It was moist, but very bland. For the price they charged, it should have come with beef. Now, for dishes like this, I tend to not use the whole fish sauce given, but I had to drown my dish in it because it lacked the flavor of the lemon grass, seasonings, etc. Also, my noodles are over cooked that I couldn't really eat it with chopsticks. Spoon it was for me for a noodle dish... weird! Kids and hubby had pho. I didn't really eat it. Only sampled the broth and felt it was a little flat as well. Wow. I know what you're saying. Pho?! In Berlin?! I said the same thing. But wow. The pho here is amazing. I started out with the Vietnamese coffee. Nice and strong and not overpowered with the ice. I ordered the number 17 deluxe noodle soup. When I visit a pho restaurant for the first time, I usually only order the soup because I want to test out how good the restaurant is and you can tell that by how good their Pho is. The broth was amazing! A really nice delicate broth with a lot of meat in it. Everybody likes that. The onions and scallions were sliced very thin and enhanced the taste of the soup. The fixings they gave you were clean and fresh. The service was very quick and speedy. They even asked me how I was enjoying my meal. I plan on coming back to taste the bun cha. I'm glad we finally have a restaurant that serves pho in this area. I highly recommend this place. It's just as good as the places in Cherry Hill and in Philly. read more

By far the best vegetarian pho I have ever had. The broth was unreal, it is hard to find flavorful broths because the missing meat and bones but they worked their magic. I have been to a lot of Pho places and loved their brotha but this one definitely takes the cake. I stumbled upon this place by google maps (most of the places I go to happens like that.) the staff were very nice and were more then helpful. I was alone during a lunch hour and it was just me in the restaurant and I felt like i was eating peacefully in one of my relatives kitchens. Pretty meh, which I guess is to be expected for a Jersey suburb. When I get pho, I normally get Pho Tai Chin or Tai Nam. But this time I ordered grilled chicken pho since I rarely see it. I expected the same, flavorful broth as beef pho but instead I got bland soup. There were no notes of coriander, star anise, fish sauce or anything. It tasted like they just opened up a can of Swanson's chicken broth. The chicken wasn't any better. It looked like frozen chicken strips with the fake grill marks. Even the most basic pho ga in Vietnam had so much flavor so I don't know what was going on here. We complained and they exchanged it for a Tai Chin (beef flank and round eye). It was better but not by much. It wasn't the worst pho I've had but definitely mediocre. No robust flavor at all. Overall a very disappointing experience. Just take the drive down to Washington Ave in Philly and get some real pho. read more

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful vacation in Vietnam where we tried so many different foods. Now that we're home, we were looking for something similar and I think we have found it. We've tried several other Pho places, but Pho Le is the closest we've come to authentic Vietnamese cuisines.
