If I could give Phoenix Nails & Spa less than 1 Star I would. I have had the worst experiences here unfortunately. The first time I went was actually great, I was given a military discount and I went on my way but my nails weren't exactly how I wanted them, which was partially my fault because i didn't ask for them to get fixed, so I let it be. Second time I went for my fill I asked for white with a rose gold ombré, which the man said he could do- he could not. Which wouldn't be an issue but don't tell me you can do something you can't. I decided just to paint one nail rose gold and be done with it, but within a week my acrylic was chipping and looked horrible. Also on this visit they claimed that they never did a military discount.... I went back to get acrylic removed and the Nexgen put on. My husband had my car so I decided to ride my bicycle to the salon. I first called the salon and asked that because I didn't currently have a lock if they had somewhere I could put my bike. After a little miscommunication (he couldn't quite understand my question) the man told me that i could in fact leave my bike in the front seating area. When I arrived to the salon not ONLY did the SAME MAN I spoke to on the phone tell me to my face I was a liar, but he actually tried to argue with me in front of many customers. He told me I could leave my bike in the front of the salon, I asked then if he could keep his eye on it, and he said "no" I said "I called and asked you so I could avoid this. I wouldn't have ridden my bike 30 minutes to get here if you'd said I had to leave my $1000 bike out front unlocked..." after which he completely ignored me and I left. This may sound like a pathetic pissed woman but admittedly I am angry. Unfortunately they are so close to my house and next to my gym, but I will never be going back here again. Others may have different experiences with this salon but I would rather warn than let them get away with the horrible customer service. read more

I tried this nail shop for the first time this past Saturday for a pedicure and a no-chip gel manicure. I had been going to another shop and was not impressed but they did the job. I am SO HAPPY I tried somewhere new! Let me tell you why... I walked in Saturday afternoon, no appointment, and only had to wait for 1 minute before they said they were ready for me. The pedicure chairs are obviously new and the nicest chairs I've experienced. Awesome massage that even does your fanny! I got the deluxe (I think, one step up from their basic) pedicure for $30, which said it included a scrub and massage. I was delighted to have a massage with the scrub as well as a leg massage with the lotion, THEN she brought over hot rocks to massage my legs and feet! I was pleasantly surprised by that and for how long the massage was (scrub and lotion combined) especially since they were very busy. Every other pedicure I've had in AZ I feel that they rush the massage when they're busy, very frustrating. I don't know why they didn't put in their brochure that the pedicure included the hot rocks, maybe to give you a nice surprise, but it rocked! After the pampering, she did a very nice job on painting my toes. I got a French pedi, and after one foot she asked me how I liked it and I asked for the white to be a little thinner which she fixed with no problem. I love the way they look. My only little issue I had was my heels didn't get a lot of attention, of course she scrubbed them and their worlds better than before I went in. But I did not see that there was a callous treatment (for heels) that you can add for $5, I would do this next time OR just spring for another $5 and go from the $30pedi to the $40 pedi which includes the callous treatment. After my pedi, the same girl did my manicure. I was planning on only getting a regular manicure but then she told me they have the no-chip gel OPI manicure. I've had this done at other salons, before I moved to AZ, and I was paying at least $50. Here it's $25, add $5 if you want French. I went with the no-chip, a no brainer because they last for 2-3 weeks and it doesn't damage your nails. If you don't want to go back in to have your nails done again, you can soak your nails in polish remover and gently push the polish off the nail. Do NOT peel them without soaking, it can rip off the top layer of nail. Anyways she gave me the BEST no-chip French I've ever had. Perfect white, not too bright, and a nice pink with just a soft hint of shimmer in it. The ONLY thing I would have liked was more of a hand and arm massage. Although, I know the no-chip takes longer than a regular manicure AND I did just get a lovely long massage with my pedicure.The best 2 things about the no-chip is that it doesn't chip (duh) and that your nails are completely dried when you're done. I dug around in my purse to pay and get my keys not worried one bit about denting or mushing the polish. I paid $65 total for my deluxe pedicure ($30+5 for French) and no-chip gel manicure ($25+5 for French). I was paying more for a pedicure at my last nail shop that I was not pleased with at all (broken massage chairs, old shop, rushed leg massages with pedi, chipped paint on toes just days after pedis). The no-chip manicure is, for obvious reasons, more than a regular manicure but if you can spring for it I HIGHLY recommend it. Overall I highly recommend this nail shop, I will definitely be going back and plan on trying out their waxing as well. I'm hoping to have the same experience next time I go, if it's any different I'll let y'all know!!! read more

She was really nice and did a really good leg and foot massage. This place also does Paraffin was treatment which is really nice. It is an extra $7 for that. My experience was mediocre at best. After using the thing on my heels they were rough. She barely let me soak 5 minutes in the spa pedicure and the place was empty - no waiting. It's directly across the street but I will drive further out for a better experience. I like to be pampered. At least give me some time to relax before you're pulling my feet out. I was greeted as I signed in and was not given a second glance for 45 minutes. It was a good lesson for my 7 year old daughter though. She was upset that we left without our mani/pedi but I told her if people don't respect our time then they don't deserve our money. My boyfriend and I went in for mani/pedi. I upgraded to a gel mani with my pedicure and had Ann. She was VERY precise and we had a good conversation. The woman my boyfriend had was quiet which he's fine with because he doesn't like to talk much at the salon. He upgraded his pedicure to one with scrubs and other things and loved it as well. This salon uses hot stone and warm lotion(which is my favorite) for the spa pedicures. We will definitely be back! read more

As you can see by my Yelp reviews I believe that if you pay for a service you should expect quality. I had been to several nail salons in Goodyear and Avondale and wasn't impressed at all. I was told about Phoenix Nail Spa and I've never gone anywhere else since! The staff if very polite and professional, they make sure that your comfortable and they are highly skilled at their profession. Always expecting us when my sister and I make an appointment for pedis (no waiting). The place is clean and comfortable with massage chairs. I used to like this place but the last few times the service has gone down hill. Today was the last straw. Pedi went fine but when it came to my manicure I expressed my concern at the start that the color looked different from what I chose and the tech told me it will look different when it was done. Towards the end I again said it didn't look like the color I wanted and the tech and owner argued with me that it was what I chose and now he was almost done I should have said something before. I said I did and the told me to wait to see how it was at the end. The tech rushed the rest of the manicure and skipped over the hand and arm massage. They also continued to talk to each other and the end product looks awful. I compared the finished nails with the sample color I chose and it's about 2 shades lighter than what I wanted. I stopped in about 2 years ago when I decided it was time to take care of my nails once again. I had stopped getting manicures many years before because I felt like the upkeep was more trouble than it was worth and always seemed to experience breaking. I had acrylic tips with gel overlay done and they were beautiful! They were done so well that I was able to go more than 3 weeks before filling and another 3+ weeks before a back fill. No chips, breaks, separation, etc. With the length of time between maintenance appointments I kept my tips for over a year and only had to completely remove them and start over once the entire time. Six months ago, I had the tips removed and began doing the gel manicure. I love it! My nails always look beautiful. It's inexpensive and I still go 3-4 weeks between appointments (although sometimes my nails do break a little when I go too long) I always receive compliments on my nails and love the service. Its best to schedule an appointment on the weekends because they are always busy! Occasionally I treat myself to a pedicure and they always ROCK! The massage chair is one of the nicest I've ever sat in and the salon is always neat and clean. I love this place and am a very loyal customer! read more

The "worst Place" ever to get S&S done ever!! I had an older lady not sure of her name. She had long hair & glasses!! Rude as hell!! My color had blotches of the white spots! she tried to Re- dip 4 fingers to fix it!When all done,I asked why does my purple have white Spots? she said "same times the powder looks like that! Ummm No! Trying to convince me it looks like Glitter!! I told her No I've had S & S done before plenty of time never has it looked like,this ever! She told me go pick another color than!! Again Rude as hell!! They completely took advantage of my teenage girls (aged 16 and 14) who went in for pedicures, charging them $39 each for a basic service with what they thought was a gel coating but instead was a gel polish (an extra $15 charge which was not explained to them)! Then the pedicures turned out awful as there were lots of areas that were not covered with polish. The male who works the front was very rude when I went to ask about charges and and would not listen to anything I tried to say. I strongly advise you to go elsewhere to get your nails done. I went to see Ann today for a pedi. I really was thinking I should see a doctor for my ingrown toenail. It was so painful. Well, Ann had been able to fix it in the past so I trusted her to fix it this time but it was more painful than it had EVER been. She had it trimmed and patched up within about 10 minutes. I went in an hour before closing to get my nails done for my sisters wedding in Mexico. She wanted all the bridesmaids to have the shade of purple as our dress. she didn't care what design. SO being me I wanted something different. I asked for coffin nails with moon of the nail being purple. They were so kind and gentle. The young man doing my nail didn't want to mess up to design I had in mind so he did the acrylic and everything to prep before the nail polish and sent me to another woman he thought was better. I don't know about the rest of the staff but my nails look amazing! I visited about a month ago and had an atrocious experience. Went in for a pedicure and a technician with long hair and glasses could not have been more rude. I should have left immediately but made the mistake of staying for the service. When I yelped out in pain, she looked up at me and simply said "I not cut you, I just poke you. You are not bleeding." Everytime I go here they over charge me. Last time I had to go get the menu to show her what they say they charge. The menu said $25 and she was charging me $40. I show her the $25 and she says, "How about $30?" Still not even the correct price! While I was there another woman had the menu out showing them that what she asked for and was charged for was not the services she ended up getting. Anyone can paint my nails.
