A friend of mine from out of town happened to snatch a table at the last minute due to her status of her credit card. I myself have eaten here when it was called snack bar but now that it's a steakhouse and we were ecstatic to try it. I must say everything was lovely. The restaurant itself is pretty tiny and compact, but yet very intimate setting. Everything will order was so delicious, including the crafted cocktails

Good service great atmosphere and drinks. We visited for our wedding anniversary dinner we were seated right away for our reservation and I ordered the lobster cutlet, it wasn't what I was expecting and I wasn't a fan. I loved the potato pave it had a good texture and good flavor in my opinion. I liked the roasted broccolini and my husband liked his ribeye. We utilized valet service for $15 they typically take cash and Venmo. I would recommend this restaurant if you're looking for something new but it wasn't as intimate as we'd wish because it was a bit busy when we visited and we had more misses than hits when it came to the food.

This is a 4.5-star review, as there were a lot of items that were solid, but just didn't quite complete the trifecta to get itself to a full 5. Service was very good, informational, and attentive. The atmosphere is pretty modern, but a little tight. They squeezed a lot into a fairly small space. Drinks are very good across the whole menu, and you really can't go wrong. As for food, the Foie Gras Toast with Escargot was very unique and quite good. If that is your type of thing, it's absolutely worth a try! We also had the oysters and Schupfnudeln - these two are must haves. The oysters come with an assortment of sauces and they are some of the best I've had. For main, the Halibut in Zarzuela was a stunner. Definite 5-star dish. Very unique, but absolutely delicious. The Bavette (a carryover from Burch) is great, especially for the price and accompanied by the exquisite Burch pairings of béarnaise, mushrooms, and salt. Was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The only letdown for entrees was the lobster cutlet. I'd definitely suggest avoiding this. Neither of us enjoyed it - it was a complete lack of flavor in what should be a very tasty meat. But all things considered, this was a great visit with really only one item being subpar.

Really good experience my first time at St. Pierre. Highly recommend the red snapper crudo, broccolini, roasted halibut, and game hen. The carrot cake was a crowd pleaser. They've kept much for ur original Snack Bar decor and vibe in tact - which is a good thing. Great choice for a date night in the city or cocktail and snacks with a friend.

This is another great addition to downtown Minneapolis offerings of culinary affairs. The building and interior of this restaurant has such old-world charm with its exposed bricks, but with a contemporary culinary menu. It is a little more formal than the beloved former Burch. The ribeye steak, oh my goodness...from the sear to the seasoning, it was prepared with precision and care. The sides and starters show the same thoughtful execution. The service is another standout. It was attentive without being intrusive. It is on the pricier side, but the quality and experience justify the splurge.

Found this place through Yelp and if did not disappoint! I didn't have a reservation and the wait times for walk-ins was over an hour but I snagged a seat from open table! A cute, dimly light restaurant that has amazing food. Everything I ordered was chefs kiss! I sat at the bar and the servers were really attentive and friendly!

Everything at St. Pierre is top tier! I made a reservation for my friend's birthday at the suggestion of a colleague and it did not disappoint. St. Pierre is located in North Loop inside of the Tractor building. There's a small parking lot behind the building and accessible street parking as well. We were greeted with warm smiles by the hostess who ushered us around the restaurant and to our seats. St. Pierre has beautiful large leather seats that make you feel like you're dining at an old club. The noise level was quiet, we did not have to shout to hear one another. The music was different, eclectic but set the mood. We loved the open kitchen concept and the arched bar. The food was good. We loved the broccolini, the potatoe pave, and the gnocchi-esque starter. For our mains I ordered the deboned hen seated on a salsa verde (tasted similar to chimichurri sauce) and my friend ordered a fish dish. We will be back!

Would you expect anything less than five stars from an Isaac Becker restaurant? Food, our waiter Ben and style of the restaurant were perfect. It was upscale food, but you don't feel you're at a stuffy restaurant when you're eating there. What didnt we have! Green Onion Red Snapper Crudo - you could taste the green onion but it wasn't overpowering. Stp House Salad - the dressing was great, Gorgonzola based. It was like a spin in the wedge salad. Mushroom Confit - not my fave but the table loved them. They were very crispy Sour Silk Hankerchiefs w/goats milk butter - I had to google must of the ingredients in this one. It was a crowd pleaser, the whole table loved it! Roasted Brocolini w/ a yogurt (I think ) sauce. Good! It notes of mint in it! Fried Eggplant with Roasted Honey - very crispy! Almost like a dessert! Potato Cake w/ ketchup - this would be good on a brunch menu! Very crispy Now for the mains: - Barramundi w/ Crazy Water - Crazy Delicious!! The crazy water was a bit spicy and tomato flavored. If you're sensitive to spice, id probably pass on this one and just sample a bite from your spice loving friend. - Lobster Cutlet w/ Marinated Maitaikes - mind blowing crispy lobster! The sauce was great. - Bavettte - 'Nuf Said Desserts: All the desserts were a bit too sweet for me. But my counter parts gave them two thumbs up . Carrot Cake - Coconut Cake -

My friend and I came here for dinner before a show. It is the perfect location, right in north loop. It feels upscale yet comfortable. So many delicious food items, we tried to order a variety because everything sounded so good! We loved the halibut, pierogi, and schupfnudeln. Would recommend this spot for your next date night!

A few things first: First, we are huge Isaac Becker restaurant fans in general -- all IB restaurants are among our favorites in the whole area. Second, we LOVED Snack Bar. Third, while we do miss a few things from Snack Bar, we are pretty darn impressed and happy after our first meal at St. Pierre... not that we should be surprised by now. So for those of you who knew Snack Bar, they have kept darn near every single one of our favorite menu items on the new St. Pierre menu. Among our returning heros: the arctic char carpaccio, the simple green salad (which I SWEAR is the best salad in town and is a truly craveable salad), the fried eggplant, the pici and our personal favorite, the fried octopus. We were delighted to see all of these dishes made the cut and are still available because we really truly love them all. So when the change was announced, they said that they would try to bring the old Burch's steakhouse back in a new form in the Snack Bar space. I liked Burch and had a few really good meals there. But I never loved it the way we love other Isaac Becker spots. That said, I LOVE a good steak, so I had high hopes and was not disappointed at all to be able to get a delicious and perfectly cooked steak on top of all the dishes I listed above. Now all of that glowing stuff said, we really really adored the pizza at Snack Bar, which you could get by the slice or as a whole pie. It was truly delicious. My pizza connoisseur husband loved the pizza here, claimed it was the best in the Cities and is essentially mourning the loss of his favorite pizza. I'm guessing there isn't enough room in the kitchen to accommodate pizzas on top of everything else going on, or perhaps pizza wasn't a high-enough margin meal. But we will truly miss the pizza and will take this opportunity to say we would be very happy if it reappeared in some other form at an Isaac Becker restaurant down the road! (hint, hint!) Other details: -They didn't change very much about the appearance of the restaurant. It didn't really need much. I've always loved the swanky, dark, old-school vibe here with the deep red leather and the wood. -Not mentioned above, the Red Snapper Crudo, which was the one new appetizer type dish we tried off of the new menu. It was tasty, with these delightful crunchy bits on top for texture. But we agreed we probably won't order it again, not because it was bad, but just because we like too many other things better. -Cocktails and mocktails seemed to be a combination of old and new. We've always enjoyed the bar selections here, and I was happy to see the cocktail menu is now focused on gin and now offers multiple flavors of shrubs. A great summer addition to the menu. So smart. I had the blood orange cosmo, which was delicious, way too easy to drink and served icy cold. Delicous. If I hadn't been driving... -I got the filet and my husband got the Ribeye. Both delicious. Both cooked perfectly. A+ steak and I love to go to places like Manny's and Wildfire, so my bar is very high. Also accompanied by the cutest most adorable little trio of bernaise, house steak sauce and pickled mushrooms. Our server obliged my request for an additional serving of bernaise sauce without blinking, and I was in heaven. -Dessert was beautiful (and yes, the creme brulee doughnut is still there!!! ... now called the Snack Bar doughnut). He had the coconut cake, which was gorgeous -- a towering cube of two layers of cake coated in toasted shredded coconut and topped with icing and blueberry compote. Dude. And I had the limoncello sorbet, which was lovely and refreshing and generous in portion. The perfect palette cleanser. -Shout out to our server, Suzy, who was excellent in every. single. way. Obviously, we went for it and our meal topped $300 after tip. So obviously very spendy. We won't be back as often as we frequented Snack Bar, but we will certainly be back.

    Prepared medium....???????? No. 200$ ribeye

OK, let's start with what you really need to know since you're looking at reviews..... There is no dress code there were people there in shorts and T-shirts and formal wear. Everything is excepted. Reservations are recommended, but not required almost as much walk-in bar seating as there is table seating If you have larger folks in your party, even the tables are tight please keep that in mind OK, let's go to the service and food The menu is expensive for a steakhouse so you expect to t quality (I enjoy a good steak. I have never paid this much money for a steak.) We were a table of five with a reservation. At first our server is fantastic. Knew something about everything on the menu and was very attentive. My wife and I planned to split the $200 ribeye for two and our other guests ordered a seafood tower that they shared We waited almost an hour for our food. When we ordered our steak I told her how we wanted them done. She basically said that the chef has an issue in making steaks the way people want them. Since the menu is on the cart we also ordered sides to share. The sides were small and everything was burned. Before the food arrived, the waitress stated that the food was coming soon, and the chef was having issues with the steaks (keeping in mind this is a steak house) Steak was not cooked correctly. There was more fat than meat. We didn't even finish it. The seafood tower was lacking and seafood, and most of those items were burnt. (Ordered medium rare, when served...very rare) We are making the best of it since it was an evening out. the evenings most bizarre moment was when our waitress was obviously upset that we asked her to split the check and she told us " if it was any busier she would not have done it " The bill was over $700 and you can't split a check ? We made the best of the situation and enjoyed the company of our friends ,but we will not be returning NOT FOR KIDS Really a disappointing experience

This place is amazing! The flavors were perfect. If there's a downside, it's that it's expensive with somewhat small portions. However, the Halibut might have been one of the best white fish dishes I've ever had. It was a crackly crust that was faintly curry flavored. I don't know what Zarzuela was (underneath it) but it was a perfect combination. Also, the steak was cooked perfectly and perfectly seasoned & charred. It came with 3 steak sauces... all were good and it was a tough decision to eat the steak perfect as it is... or add the desirable sauces. The schupfnudeln is a classic (from Burch, to Snack Bar, to here). Order it; there's a reason it's on all these menus.

Issac Becker and Nancy St Pierre have taken the space across from Bar LaGrassa, which used to be the Snack Bar and have attempted to recreate Burch Steak. I guess Snack Bar wasn't as packed with customers as Bar LaGrassa and Eatery112. I wasn't crazy about Burch, and I'm not turned on by the snooty St. Pierre Steak and Seafood. Packed to the gills with the North Loop faithful on a warm Thursday night at the end of March 2025, St. Pierre was already a hit. This was not a warm and fuzzy crowd, and the place did not generate a welcoming vibe. However, the room was loud, and no one seemed to care. Our bartender/server quickly served us water and took our drink order. A younger and trendier couple took the two bar stools next to us, and the bartender almost ran over to see if he could help. Soon, their cocktails arrived. I looked at my wife and shrugged. Fifteen minutes later, I flagged down another male bartender and inquired about our drinks. In seconds, a young woman arrived with the wrong order. A few minutes more, and the correct drink order arrived. Before we could take a sip, the original bar keep came over and asked if we were ready to order food. By the way, the couple next to me, who arrived after us, were already eating dinner. I told the barkeep we would like to enjoy our drinks first before eating. He pirouetted and walked away. Later, I waved down a different bartender and ordered our food. Our dinner was mediocre. I was looking forward to the Gougères, a bite-sized cheese pastry I had last eaten in Montreal. The Gougères at St. Pierre were almost raw and were not crispy. I was disappointed. My wife's Pickled cauliflower salad was interesting and tasted good. However, her four shrimp with a tasteless, black mayonnaise schmeer were disgusting. My grilled octopus had little taste. Our meal was sad and joyless. The menu needs work, and the staff needs to be taught the art of graciousness. The bill was expensive for the experience provided. St. Pierre has a long way to go to come close to Bar LaGrassa and 112.

Upon entering we were greeted by a woman who was clearly wearing multiple hats as she seemed rushed, a bit off putting and quite frankly distracted. Menu is small but the items we ordered were all fabulous! Every single one! The collard green dip with cornbread pita chips was absolutely delicious - Think spinach artichoke dip but soul food! The salmon croquettes with lemon herb aioli and arugula salad that accompanied were fresh and light! The catfish sandwich with fries was hot, crispy and well seasoned with fresh lettuce and tomato on a perfectly tender brioche bun. I want to return so bad for the food but it was clear this host, server, bartender and partial cook was pulled in too many directions and that severely compromised our service and gave us stand off energy as first time patrons. I looked it up and she is actually one of the owners. She came across as irritated especially once we didn't order any alcoholic drinks first and then very short and curt following. What took the cake was her telling us she was leaving for the day and needed to close our tab while we were eating. Didn't ask did we want to order anything else and there was another server taking her place and an empty restaurant! My partner had to put his sandwich down wipe his hands pull out his wallet while she stood there impatiently. Then proceeded to linger around hugging her regular bar patrons. It was clear this is a "regulars" spot and if you're not one you're rolling the dice on the service you may or may not get. We were patient and didn't complain because it was Juneteenth and our intention to support black restaurants all weekend. I have many previous years in the industry as a cook, host and GM and I was stunned to know that she was one of the owners when I looked it up. Had planned to return for live music but unfortunately the off putting energy and unwelcoming vibe may have squashed that possibility. I hope they improve service because the food is delicious and deserves attention from a larger and more sophisticated audience.
