After my I cracked my HTC I was a little hopeless on it being fixed. So I attempted to buy a screen of Ebay and some how do it myself.... Well I didn't, and good thing I hadn't otherwise I would've had a cadistrophic and the wrong part. Well after searching online or a willing friend to mess with it. My brother gave me a card to Phone Phix, he was pretty happy so I gave it a shot. I called and right away Sheldon was really nice. So the next day I came in and told him I had the part, and it turned out I ordered the wrong one. I had broke more than just the screen I broke the LCD. He was kind enough to order the part for me and I left the phone there. Well I just got it back last night, and wow I am sooo happy. After speaking with (I think his name is Chris) he told me it wasn't worth spending the money on fixing the phone; instead he offered his opinion on other phones that I could switch to. This is a "thanks" again to Sheldon, he's worked on my Iphone twice in the last 4 months and stands by his work. When a glass replacement ended up shutting off the screen light, he replaced it with a better phone & made sure eveything was transfered & all my services worked. He could have just said... "well your screen is shot & toodle lu" but he was determined to make it right. Friday, he unlocked my phone & he helped with me repeatedly to complete the reworked needed for my new service provider. This included 3 visits & lots of help for his flat charge. He is a small business owner, dealing with ever changing technology & people who beat the crap out of their phones & laptops. I had called around to all other repair shops in Encinitas, Carlsbad, Oceanside, and San Marcos to find that Phone Phix has by far the cheapest prices. Sheldon is the guy that inspired me to sign up for a Yelp account. Man, he must get yelled at a lot... He looked like he wanted to punch me in the face after I reported a possible issue after his work, and pretty much accused me of trying to blame him for my phone (and possibly, my life's) problems. After fixing my iPhone screen, the lock button became stuck later that day but was still somewhat usable. I went in on Monday after Thanksgiving weekend and he said that nothing he did could have caused this. I remarked that it was an amazing coincidence, and he responded by blaming me for not coming in right away on Thanksgiving weekend and told me I must have dropped it. I didn't. I told him it worked fine at first, but then the button became stuck. He told me, "You're speaking out of both sides of your mouth, buddy." This place sucks. I think the long and wordy positive comments are questionable. I got quoted 2 different prices 1 when I described my phone and another when I brought it in to have it unlocked. You can guess which was higher, not to mention how rude the guy was when I brought up what I was quoted. I have been here before to have my screen fixed many years ago. Then recently I cracked my screen and thought I'd take it back here. He fixed my phone. When I got it I couldn't see my screen with my polarized sunglasses. Most annoying thing I have ever experienced. Then it cracked right away. I took it back to get a apple screen back on my phone. The guy was extremely rude. Asking me if I wanted it for free. I got it for free with a screen that is cracked way worse than mine was. But glad I can see it with my sunglasses. I've had to take many phones here, many many times. Chris has always been quick and helpful with fixing my phones. Only bumemr is my iPhone 6S recently needed a screen replacement - and after two attempted at fixing it, it will randomly shut off mid conversation (when my cheek touches the sceen), doesnt accurately recognize the correct number/letters I type in, etc. Seems like its uber sensitive now =( read more

I had a cracked screen on my Iphone 5s and fixed it with in 30 minutes which was great everything was back to normal. 3 weeks later the screen cracked for no reason, I called them and there is no warranty and wanted me to pay full price after only 3 weeks. I had the phone in a case and I did not drop the phone, I just don't think it should have cracked after 3 weeks of being repaired. Instead of offering a solution I got excuses on how they crack all the time. I guess 3 weeks and $100 later there should be a warranty and should not break that quickly. For a company that works off of recommendations customer service should be a little better, I would be wary and I would not recommend going back. read more

My IPhone 5SE cracked and took it into here.. I gave him my phone at 100% and got it back at 1%. When I got home, the phone wouldn't hold a charge and my screen kept going black and purple!. Took it back to him and he didn't really know what was happening but gave my money back to me, and left me with a broken phone. Took it to apple and they said they have never seen anything like it... the battery has been totally disabled and my logic board was broken, and on top of that he had put a generic iPhone 5 screen on my 5SE. Had to pay $400 for a new phone.... Since I didn't sign any paperwork, and Phone Fix isn't a registered apple dealer I was screwed! Had a terrible experience today with the parking lot. Owner yelled at me and 2 other people parking just within the 5 minutes of parking saying WE CANT PARK HERE! I was only unloading my car to another establishment near by and love shopping in the village. Yelling at potential consumers is not professional and not the vibe our city wants or needs. The owner of this shop is a crook and drug addict. My wife cracked her iPhone 6 screen. We searched for a local screen repair store and found phone phix. The price was fair so she went ahead with the repair. Two days later the screen had lines running side to side. Screen was not cracked or broken, it seemed as if it was a faulty LCD. We brought the phone back and the owner refused to help us. The shop smelled like marijuana. While she was arguing her point someone came in the shop. The owner told her to wait as he went into the back with the guy with a bag. When they came out the bag was empty and folded in half. It was obvious some kind of drug deal was being made. The owner continued to deny responsibility for the damaged screen replacement and sent her out the door. She was forced to go to another location to have the phone repaired again. I had no intention of coming in to get my phone fixed or my iPad simply because of my procrastination problems however, this store is right next to wear I get my dog food and THEY were closed so I just figured why not... Being that I had the impression I would be paying an arm and a leg based off other peoples rumors and horror stories of paying $50+ for iPhone screens.. This was not the case.
