Such is the case here - over the phone I was told to come by and show them my busted up iPad and was assured that whatever the issue was, they could fix it. Fast forward an hour later, (it literally took me 15 minutes of driving and walking back and forth on the street to find this place as it's basically a rented room at the top of a staircase of a commercial building), I was informed that my iPad is dead and that it should be used as a coaster or paperweight. Look, I understand a car mechanic cannot accurately diagnose a vehicle electronically or telephonically as accurately as they can if they can see the car in person and of course when it comes to an iPad with a cracked screen and water damage that won't power on, it would be ideal for a repair person to physically inspect it before diagnosing the issue so please don't tell me over the phone that you can fix something and then smugly state that it's beyond repair. Also, I appreciate that you want to keep your overhead low but FFS don't do business out of what is basically a bedroom with shit everywhere and a dog sitting around begging to be anywhere but there. This place is super inconvenient to get to with a super unprofessional "store" and super creepy vibes. All said, I disagreed with Sheldon's diagnosis so decided to call A to Z Wireless (which coincidentally enough is right down the street in an easy to see and enter store) and while no promises were made over the phone or in person, the owner fixed my iPad and is now working just as it did before I dropped it in a jacuzzi. So yeah...don't recommend this dude at all but highly recommend A to Z. Enjoy.

He found (luckily) no water damage, and he took the time to further investigate, test out some options, to find potential causes. Cleaned out my charger port, and offered several things to try at home before trying something else. I was told if it still overheated, we could replace the screen (not likely a root cause but the next step if needed) and it was would discounted as I already paid for the other cleaning and gasket replacement. Luckily the issue is fixed and I'm happy he didn't push for the screen replacement if he truly didn't think it was needed!

The charge only lasted half a day which was worse than the old OEM battery that was below 80% capacity. I then went to Apple to try to try to get it replaced with an OEM battery. I was initially relieved that Apple will still service it. However, the usual Apple $99 battery replacement fee only applies to batteries below 80%, even if it's a third-party (after market) battery! Otherwise it will cost $349 at Apple, so I just decided to upgrade my watch to the newest version (Apple Watch 10 as of the time of this writing). It really sucks that iSquad's cheap battery led me to having to get a new Apple Watch sooner than I wanted to (and having to give up the O2sat sensor feature! (No longer available on newer Apple Watches). You get what you pay for!

If they're so confident the product is fine, then the issue has to be in how they're storing or handling these screen protectors before selling them -- because mine was defective right out of the box. They offered no real solution, no replacement, no refund -- nothing but attitude. For a business that claims to care about customers, they sure don't act like it. "No refunds" doesn't mean you can sell broken merchandise and then blame the customer. I'll be reporting this to California consumer authorities because this place clearly has no accountability or integrity. Avoid this kiosk unless you like wasting your money and being talked down to.

Amazing, above and beyond service. My iPhone stopped working, went it to a reboot loop, and when I brought it to Apple they said there was nothing they could do except replace it, for $550. I almost did, figuring that all the 3rd party repair places you see were all just about fixing screens, maybe replacing a battery. But just in case, I decided to send out some inquiries. On Sunday night I used the Yelp feature to automatically request quotes from multiple places, and manually requested them from 4 or 5 specifically. Most of the places that got back to me said they'd need to see it in person before they'd give me a quote. Only two people said they'd seen this issue before - Leo offered a quote significantly under the other one, and said he'd come to me in person, which he did at my work the next day. It was a more difficult repair than expected - a couple of the tiny screws had been stripped, so he had to use a razor blade to disassemble the casing and reach the faulty part. It was honestly riveting watching him work around this obstacle with precision and obvious expertise on such a tiny device. About an hour later, I had an iPhone again, for a small fraction of what Apple was asking. I'd happily recommend him to anyone. In fact, I'm pretty sure this is my first Yelp review? Have to check that. Anyway, this guy is good - he really knows his stuff, and will do right by you! read more

A mere 7 months after cracking my iPhone 6 screen, which Leo also repaired, my 2014 MacBook Pro battery desperately needed to be replaced. I decided to call up Leo again and ask if he would be able to help me out. Sure enough, he was extremely knowledgable, helpful, and professional. He began by asking what model the laptop was (i.e. did it have a disk drive or not) and was able to ascertain exactly which type of battery I needed. He special ordered the battery himself and texted me about a week later once it arrived. That same day he came to my house and replaced the battery VERY quickly (about 10 mins) and was even willing to do so amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. He wore a mask and was very professional the entire time. His price was extremely reasonable, and he taught me a bit more about my machine, AND he accepted Venmo, which was great because I didn't have a lot of cash on me! This is now the second time that I have been able to call on Leo for desperate repairs and both times he saved the day. Leo is the best in Boston! read more

I dropped my phone while running, which slightly cracked the screen but caused the right side touch to stop working. I needed a place nearby, one that had good reviews, one that could help relatively quick, and (ideally) of decent price. Leo was all of these things. When I arrived, he popped my phone open to see if it was a problem that wouldn't actually require a full screen replacement (that was nice!), but once he realized it needed to be replaced, worked quickly to get it done. Since he didn't have the screen I needed in stock he overnighted a new one, and I got my phone back in less than 24 hours. Leo is super nice, legit, and does what he can to help you with timing and keeping costs in line. Highly recommend this guy! read more

Great service - Leo very much cares about customer satisfaction. I made a 5pm appointment with him after my screen cracked. He unfortunately had to cancel, since his 4pm appointment was running over, but he offered to come to my apartment to fix it the next day! This completely more than made up for him moving the appointment and was much appreciated. His price was fair (in line with the Apple Store) and he is very easy to deal with. Hopefully my screen never breaks again, but if it does, I know who to call. read more

I've used this service multiple times on my iPhone 7 plus and had a great experience every time. No need to go to his store, he comes straight to you. Leo has fixed my cracked screen at least twice and every time does an amazing job, and I haven't noticed any negative side effects afterwards. He's very friendly and gave me tips on the best phone cases and screen protectors to use. He completes the fix in around 20 minutes, saving me hours and hundreds of dollars when compared to going to the Apple store. read more

The initial screen he replaced my broken screen with was having trouble and I let him know, and he got back to me right away and the next day he came and replaced the errant screen for me at no charge. Oktay is the absolute best. He helped with a logic board repair on an M2 MacBook air, and the laptop is working great. He was also able and willing to try a completely different board repair project I had available that most shops wouldn't even be willing to look at. It's truly a breath of fresh air to work with someone who appreciates electronics and is able to save parts that otherwise tend to end up as e-waste. Considering Apple and other big tech companies only seem to push people to spend as much money as possible replacing full assemblies + endless parts etc (that are all glued together) this is why the right to repair is so important and we 100% need shops like this to exist. It's been a few days since getting the screen replaced and we've noticed that when next to a normal iPhone looking at the exact same images, the colors are a lot different and not as detailed. Also it's been flashing and went black for a few seconds. Really disappointed but not confident we could get a refund, or would even want further repairs from this establishment.

Wayne checked my battery health and it was at 73%. He explained any reading under or at 80% indicates a battery problem. The quote was $139. It was higher than other repair shops here on Yelp (using yelps project message blast function ) but the convenience factor 1 mile from home and ease of dropping it off made it totally worth it. Wayne advised it'll be done in an hour. I left the phone went home and was surprisingly notified in 40min it was done. I'm very happy with the service. Wayne did go into detail about helping me with my Apple play as it was failing. Advised it may not be the phone causing it and getting a new cord may fix it. After market cords are known to fail after a period of use. Not lasting as long as original equipment. I'm very happy with their service and repair. Very relieved as I don't want to get a big iPhone to replace my mini. My iPhone is back and running smoothly.

He fixed the issue in a few minutes and wouldn't take a payment because he said it didn't take him long. This is so rare in this day and age where lots of business would have charged a significant fee regardless of the minimal amount of time it took.
