This is clearly one of our favorite restaurants in the area! Both lunch and dinner! Great pizza or cheese steak for a quick lunch and fantastic Italian dinners! I have been here several times. The food has been consistently good and for the most part, the wait staff is terrific. One HUGE complaint though. The business needs to reinvest in its seating. Many of the booth benches are horribly bottomed out as are the chairs at the tables. For someone like myself with a bad back, the food and service are minimized by the physical discomfort one experiences while dining. If they correct this, we will dine here more often. read more

Wife and I stopped in for dinner from reading reviews. Beautifully decorated. Service was good, meal was not what should have been expected. Start of salad was very good with garlic knots. Wife had clams and pasta that was bland, and lacking any taste. I had what I was hoping was Veal Saltimbocca, turned out to be most likely pork tenderloin, ( I order this as my favorite meal everywhere and know what real veal is). At least they could have trimmed the pieces not to look like they were just cut off a tenderloin, nice and round with even the little butt end. Shame, was expecting a better meal from reviews. I went there last night with some family and friends for dinner to celebrate my birthday. Everything was exceptional, from the ambiance, service and food, we were all impressed. They were also very accommodating. I had made reservations for 6 people, however, upon arriving I was expecting a couple more people. They were happy to move us to a bigger, more comfortable table. They also ended my birthday dinner with a made to order dessert big enough to share with everyone, and it was delicious! I had a great time and will definitely be back. Highly recommend. read more

Just placed a take out order and after just looking at their online menu with pricing, go to pick it up to have the bill be more than $10 higher then what their own menu pricing stated. Live in Limerick and through friends had not heard good reviews about the restaurant but, I won a gift certificate so I thought I'd try it out. On their takeout menu (which references best of Chester county numerous times - umm we are in Montgomery county so that doesn't really apply). They have a coupon on their take out menu that offers a buy one entree get one 50% off (no where does it list "eat in only") however, when I called for take out I am informed that they won't honor the coupon. I argued with the guy to no avail so we moved forward. Place my order over the phone, go in to pick it up and a waitress basically stands there and looks at me without saying a word. At least say "Someone will be right with you" if you aren't going to help me! Finally, get the food home and it was completely underwhelming. An appetizer portion of stuffed shells (3 small shells), a burned Gyro, and an Italian hoagie with very little meat in it. What a disappointment! I wouldn't have went there if I didn't have the gift certificate and I won't go back again. Much better options in MONTGOMERY County then this place. read more

The food is better than average, the atmosphere is much nicer than it appears from the outside, and the staff go above and beyond! We've had great experiences here, and keep going back. I was really surprised the first time we visited (as from the outside it just looks like another pizza place or something - but it's much nicer that that!). Inside, you find that it's really nicely decorated, the food is well-prepared and the service is good. I'm surprised to see negative reviews here, as it doesn't fit with our experiences at all. I've eaten here a number of times, and I haven't had a bad meal yet at Piazza Presto. I'm particular about Italian food in that I'm from the South Philly/South Jersey area. Lately I'm stuck on their angel hair pasta with crab in a blush sauce--it's spectacular; in fact I just ate the leftovers for breakfast! The garlic knots (bread) that they bring to the table when you're seated are delicious. I tried their Caesar salad with grilled salmon, and that was also phenomenal. So was their crab bisque. Went in for dinner tonight for the first time. Sat down and it took the waitress a bit to come over which was fine cause they were busy. The waitress comes over asks us if we would like to have something to drink besides water. My husband says what are the options? With a look on her face and a rude tone she says "soda, ice tea, I mean I don't know what your looking for here but we are byob". He says oh I wasn't aware I've never been here before. Thinking she would apologize and say we have coke, sprite, blah blah. But nope never does. Anyway she takes her order but still has a nasty disposition about her. Walks away and her and the hostess start arguing because she wasn't supposed to be our waitress and someone else was. Ok so moving on we get the garlic knots which lacked garlic and were like cold bricks. I asked for a ceaser salad and got a garden salad with Cesar dressing. Ok no biggie. I was in a pinch and had to order from a place that delivered. Didn't have high expectations however, with the exception of the delivery time, the food was better than expected. I ordered a provolone grilled cheese sandwichs, cheese fries and a small cheese pizza. The grilled cheese sandwiches left me wanting for something a little more "worked on". A neighbor told me that her children had been raving about this restaurant and that she had a wonderful birthday dinner there. I saw what they were raving about. To start everyone was pleasant and efficient. I was there at an off hour - too late for lunch too early for dinner and enjoyed one of the freshest caesar salads I've had in a restaurant in a long time. Staying on the safe side, I ordered spaghetti and sausage. I was told that the sauces are made fresh for each order and after a short wait a very fresh, tasty red sauce with angel hair (one of 3 choices of pasta) pasta was placed in front of me. There was also garlic bread that was well seasoned and the desserts are not to be overlooked. I had the Kentucky bourbon pecan pie and It was truly delicious! I'll be returning for pizza and possibly for another dinner - and this time I'll be a little more daring. Terrible. While back in town, I stopped in one night and ordered a CHEESE hoagie on my way home from work. No joke, the hoagie had a measly and cheap TWO...count them...one...two...slices of cheese! That's it. Seriously?!? Its a CHEESE hoagie! Only TWO slices of cheese on a 12" CHEESE hoagie, is beyond cheap and ridiculous. What's worse is that they charged me almost $9. Really?!? We ordered using the online menu and when we picked the food up the total was higher than expected. They said the online prices are wrong. We ordered 2 stromboli's and the cheese inside was not close to being melted. I had to cook it my own oven at home to heat it and melt the cheese. read more

Heard good things about the pizza and was pleasantly surprised by the interior, not what I expected from a strip mall. Having said that, the food was underwhelming especially for the price. Is it too much trouble to use fresh garlic? Apparently so, and the stuff that comes out of a jar definitely has no place in real Italian cooking. Our server was nice, but overall it took a little longer than I would have expected. I'm going with three stars because of what the other diners at other tables were saying. Would give it less if possible, 1st after arriving an being seated waited about 15 minutes for service, were told there was confusion over whose table we were. Ordered 2 iced teas that took another 15 minutes because the waitress was waiting for some one to carry the tea up??? Ordered the food that took another 45 minutes to arrive, Pescatore in white sauce and mussels in white sauce the food had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. The sauce tasted like canned chicken stock with some butter thrown in as an afterthought. Asked for some parmigiana cheese for the dish, the waitress went to get it but never brought it, finally gave up waiting and ate. When my 4 year old finished she wanted desert and asked for ice cream, waitress waived her hand at us and said we don't have ice cream and walked away without even offering a desert menu, finally we asked her for one. The staff was extremely inattentive, the only time she was friendly and attempted to make small talk was when she brought the check and standing there while we were filling out her tip. I had been here a couple of years ago and was disappointed, sad to say is this place is still awful and I won't be giving it a 3rd shot. read more

You can pick the onions off if you don't want them. Sorry I thought you wanted the regular salad with Caesar dressing, but then I changed it. Do you mind? We made a reservation for 6:30pm and did not get seated until 7:30pm. Once we got to our table, no one came to see us until we flagged down a waitress. She was not assigned to our area, but didn't want us to wait any longer so she took our order and took over our table. Prior to this, we had to get our own glasses and open our own bottles. Our waitress was wonderful!! We were very appreciative of her help!! Once the food came it was ok. We were in a group of five and 3 of them were luke-warm and not to standard. We feel like overall, it was not a good experience. We had to ask for rolls and had to keep an eye out on the hostess. She was clearly not trained and was very flustered. It made for a stressful time for everyone there. She should have had some back up from management to help her out. She can't be totally to blame. Many people left because there was such a long wait and because it was so chaotic. We are only in the area to visit our in-laws during a difficult time and I can't say I would go back. There are too many other good restaurants nearby to go to. read more

Three stars based on good service and ok food. Our server was accommodating and solicitous without being overbearing. She gave her honest opinions when asked for recommendations and suggested splitting dishes that consisted of large portions. This is the way to go with the pasta dishes unless you are very hungry. We ordered a Margarita pizza based on the menu blurb "Voted best pizza in the Philadelphia area". Philadelphia must be a sad, sad pizza desert. I've had better pizza at Bryn Mawr pizza and at Renato's, to name two random Philadelphia-area pizza restaurants. Heck, I've had better pizza at the I 95 rest stop in Delaware. It wasn't horrible, but I can't recommend it. I raise an eyebrow when a Caesar salad has tomatoes, but it was ok if you think of it as a house salad. Just not very Caesar-y. We waited a bit despite having a reservation, but that was because a previous party lingered. Not the restaurant's fault. I would return and give it another chance. I will be trying the pasta though. read more

We've been regulars since Piazza Presto opened, and used to LOVE it. However, like other reviewers have mentioned, it's gone WAY downhill. Clueless servers, incorrect orders for eat-in, and REALLY incorrect orders for takeout. I had the same exact fight as Jc J. on a coupon for takeout. Shockingly poor customer service. I could not believe how poorly I've been treated as a regular customer with a large order. Food was also significantly less impressive the last time we ate in. The prices are also very high for what you get - and we were willing to pay those prices when the service and quality warranted, but there's a point where you have to give up the fight and admit that they don't seem to actually want to be in business anymore. Ordered the crab cake dinner, and it was terrible. There was no lump crab meat at all. It was cheap dark shredded crab with a lot of filler. Husband got the dinner special that sounded amazing (scallops, crab meat, etc over pasta), but it was far below expectations. The shrimp skewers and garlic knots were very good, but that's all. Also, not sure how those 2 entrees, one app, a soda and a coffee came to $74...I should have looked at the check because thinking back, it just seems wrong. Probably won't go back. read more

Since the owner/manager felt compelled to delete my review of my experience I have no choice to to re write it. My family has been going to Piazza Presto for years, every Friday night. We stoped going due to terrible service, and rude wait staff. After not going for 2 year we decided to give it a try again. When we were seated we waited over 15 minutes before a waiter visited our table, only after we had to ask another waitress if we could order. When the waiter came over he was unsure why he was sent to our table as he came with water and blamed the wait on the new 15 year old host. Never did he ask if we wanted drinks. We order 2 appetizers, wings and calamari. The wings were like warm at best and the calamari was as rubbery a a rubber band, it was chew, and in cooked. We ask for drinks when the pizza arrived. The waiter seemed annoyed we asked for drinks and when he retuned with them he slammed them down on the edge of the table. They manager and wait staff knew we were un happy yet made no attempt to rectify the poor service. In fact the manager went to numerous tables to check on other guests, yet did not stop at our table. Both the manager and waiter did walk by several time and made eye yet did not stop to check if everything was ok. The two runners/buss staff were more attentive the the waiter and manager. They asked if we needed more water, and asked if we would like our left overs wrapped up. Needless to say we not longer will dine a Piazza Presto. A 1 star rating is even to much for this place. I will be check frequently to ensure this review is not removed. If it is removed I will repost it again. read more

I've been a huge Piazza Presto fan since they opened. Every time I go in, the meal is always delicious. Great tasting Italian dinner, some of the best tasting pizza I've ever had - French Fries too.... I'm a big BBQ Chicken Cheesesteak lover and the flavor of theirs is mouthwatering. Sad to say, but this place has gone downhill. The last few times, the cheesesteaks have been too burned and/or dry, and the pizzas have not been as flavorful. All of these have been take out. The last pasta meal I had was still good though. read more
