    Breakfast sandwich!!

I love Picaresca! I've been buying coffee from them since they were in the little shopping center off of Soto. Then I went to their spot on 4th Street. Great spot it's super popular and it's always packed in long lines. Nothing wrong with that just I'm always in a hurry.I had an appointment in LA so I decided to try the new location did not disappoint! I love the new aesthetic and the coffee and food as always amazing ! my go to is the café de Olla and the breakfast sandwich with the onion jam, fire !

Nothing brings me more joy than a good coffee shop. Love the vibe of this place, kind of old school Boyle Heights. The staff was so nice and friendly and made recommendations for us. The cafe de olla latte was very good, very complex and anise forward. They also sell bags of beans and a cafe de olla syrup/concentrate. Definitely recommend this place!

So excited picaresca opened its second location. This time just walking distance from my barrio. Love love what they did to the old tio Pepe restaurant. Great spacious seating area to dine in. I enjoy the ambiance, music playing and especially their staff are very welcoming. All their lattes are delicious. Including with all the milks and non dairy's as options. Just went in for my drip de olla cafe and pan. Great place to enjoy a cup of coffee and breakfast as well

Some of the best coffee in BH. There is more ample room for dine in. Customer service is good as always. Staff is great. Can't wait to see it in full swing.

Food and ambiance were amazing. You have to try the chilaquiles enfrijolados! It reminded me of a mole sauce but not as rich and easier to eat. It had a nice little kick

The owners are always welcoming, friendly, and genuinely make every customer feel at home. Their customer service is exceptional and one of the main reasons my family and I keep coming back. The food is amazing! Their chicharrón burrito is the best I've had, and the chilaquiles are always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Their coffee is just as impressive--they roast their own beans, make their own café de olla syrup, and you can even buy their coffee beans to enjoy at home. Every cup tastes fresh, rich, and authentic. I also love the atmosphere. The artwork throughout the shop is beautiful and gives the space so much personality. It's the kind of place where you want to sit, relax, and enjoy your coffee. Another thing I appreciate is that their prices are more affordable than many other coffee shops, especially considering the quality of the food, coffee, and service. My kids absolutely love coming here, and it's become one of our favorite family spots. If you're in Boyle Heights and looking for incredible coffee, delicious food, beautiful local art, fair prices, and some of the kindest people you'll ever meet, Picaresca is a must-visit. I can't recommend them enough!

It varies who you get, alot of attitude, eye rolls for no reason. Oddly enough, unless you're someone well known they will go over the moon for you. Saw it the other day bring them water salsa while their other customers have to get everything but, i digress. The mulato breakfast sandwich, its flavorful! I do recommend trying it if its your first time and want something not so heavy. I like the chilaquiles, its better when you add a fried egg. Soo yummy, savory, and flavorful! As for the coffee, if you like a pick me up... and a coffee that isn't sweet but strong. I suggest a refresher drink (tonics). The coffee is sugary and you unfortunately cant taste some of the coffee. If that's your preference, we'll i recommend. Besides that, the environment is lovely and art they have. Though its a hit or miss with staff especially if you like friendly service.

I decided to try something new and went for the Chocolate Forest Matcha... absolutely divine. Rich, earthy, slightly sweet, and so beautifully balanced. What surprised me most is how different the inside feels compared to the outside. From the street, it looks a little gahtto and unassuming, but the moment you step in, it's a completely different world -- cozy, bright, warm, and welcoming. It's the kind of space that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. Damo continues to be one of those rare spots where the drinks are memorable and the atmosphere feels like a little hidden gem.

It was pretty busy for late afternoon but I took it as a good sign. My sister has been a bunch of times before and really wanted me to try their cream top but I don't drink coffee and they apparently stopped allowing modifications to their drinks so you can no longer add the cream top to the matcha latte. She got the cream top coffee and I got the matcha latte so I could sip the top of hers and drink mine and it was honestly so so good. I have no idea how they make their cream top but it's unlike any other I've tried. The matcha itself was also very smooth and great quality. I get the Japandi minimalist design aesthetic but a lot of people would love to just sit down and drink their spendy beverage and there's just not enough seats for all the customers. For this, I have to give the ambiance 2 stars. I'd still come back for the exceptional matcha latte though!

It ended up being for the better too because I was so pleased by my drink later on. I knew I wanted to try out one of their pastries. I picked the ham and cheese sandwich and waited for it to be ready and warmed. I have to say, you can tell the ham is one of those simple hams you can buy from a grocery store. They aren't unique or anything, so same with the slice of American cheese. Overall the sandwich was good though and enough to satisfy me when I wanted a quick breakfast. For the time we went, there was a couple of tables taken by people but there was still open spots to sit at. They aren't super quick so I recommend having a seat while you wait for your order. I definitely feel like the wait is worth it though, especially for their matcha drinks. I ended up going in line again to purchase another one. Bonus points to the the lady because I saw her help out the drinks staff and help out with their pile of orders. Such a help! The drink was great and I enjoyed this spot a lot.

Same thing, tasted water based, ordered it with almond milk. I'm not much of a sweet person, so if you like sweet drinks then this is it for you and your rating will be probably higher than mines.
