It was a quiet day for a Saturday morning, there weren't many customers yet. Unfortunately, our order was overlooked and it took checking in with the staff to start its preparation. They looked puzzled at first but eventually figured it out. The Esquite Toast was OK. The bread was overly toasted. The Breakfast Burrito was OK. It filled us up. The Iced Vanilla Latte tasted too milky, could hardly taste the espresso. The hibiscus lemonade was OK. When our order arrived, a staff member was apologetic and offered a baked good on the house. We weren't able to redeem the offer given the long line that grew after our meal. Not the best first impression but maybe they were having an off day?

It's probably one of the best things on the menu. My husband gets an all shut up frappe we're on the same side and my kids always get the candy lemonade if you guys have kids the perfect drink because it is sweet and sour. It's really really good i highly recommend. I have 3 little ones so I always get 1 large sour candy and ask for three small water cups because they already come with lids and I just divide the sour lemonade along the three empty cups great little hack. it's a good open space I have a couple tables and seating area and also have a small bathroom. It's really calm and spacious a good place to study.

Light and fresh and just what I needed to continue on my morning. I've been getting the mocha latte but excited to try more. I have never had to wait long for my order either and the staff has always been friendly and on top of their ish. I'm a barista myself so I can tell they don't play around! There's some seating outside in between this place and the place next-door. The folks here are very friendly and the service is quick. A buddy of mine were running errands in the area before they get together, so we stopped by here for some coffee. Their baked goods look good as well, so we decided to split one of their miso sesame cookies. It was unique and delicious. If I remember correctly, I got the Filipino iced coffee because it had soke ube in it. Plenty of parking. Delicious food and delicious drink drinks with quick service. Nothing to dislike!

I arrived just on time to see Brit.'s live performance, which was relaxing and soulful. The crowd and ambience of the space meshed perfectly with the vibes of the event. I ordered the cantaloupe milk with added matcha. The cream top was faintly sweet and the matcha mixed into the milk really balanced out the sweet melon flavor. This was actually the only thing I tried that evening, but I'd love to return to taste their other options. Overall, the atmosphere and drink were 10/10 for me. I love a chill, nostalgic cafe ~ they really don't exist out here, so I'm excited to see the Japanese inspiration making its way into LA.

The pop-up is easy to find, it's outside facing into the parking lot, and they had a cute A-frame sign out by the street side. There was no line, and I ordered and sat down at one of the tables out front. The service was so warm, and I believe the shop is owned and operated by one man on his own! He was an absolute delight to meet, and he brought my matcha latte to me at the table when it was prepared. He suggested I get the cream top on it, and boy was that the perfect recommendation. I would say I'm a little bit of a matcha fiend... I think I got a matcha latte at 3 different places this day... and this one far surpassed the others. I think it was one of the best matcha lattes I have ever drank to-date. It was perfectly green, the matcha quality was phenomenal, both taste and look-wise. The texture was just right, perfectly creamy with barely any grittiness. The cream top only added to the drink, and didn't take away from the matcha flavor at all, which I feel like has happened at other places for me. I'm dreaming of this matcha latte days later, and need to go back to Kokoro No Coffee as soon as I am in town again. This was a spectacular find, and I hope this spot gets all the love it deserves! There is truly nothing like a great business ran by a great person and you can tell there's so much intention put into this concept. Highly, highly recommend and I could not sing praises more!

The cream top does make it very creamy and it does mask majority of the matcha flavor. It did taste like a dessert drink. It was enjoyable though. COLD BREW VANILLA Weirdly sour and smoky flavored cold brew. Slight floral flavor too. It was such an odd combination of flavors with the vanilla cold foam. The lingering aftertaste was not good either. It's neither this nor that. Would not recommend! FINANCIERS Their financiers are made by a local bakery called Musk. It seems their financier flavors are changed often, so no same flavors are in rotation. Sausage & Parmesan - The almond cake's vanilla flavor with the sausage and salty parmesan was a unique flavor. The almond cake was nice and spongy. It did take a bit of time to get used to the savory flavors with the almond cake. It's like a breakfast in an unexpected way. Nutella - Buttery almond cake with nutella and roasted hazelnuts. Enjoyed it! I think Nutella fans would like it. Mugwort + Fig - Buttery in the beginning and it ends with a good, medium-strength flavor of mugwort. Fig was garnish on top, so you barely get it. The yuzu flavor was there alongside the butteryness of the almond cake. All the financiers were done well! Delicious! Recommend trying at least one when you're at this location. PARKING Street parking is available, yet when I was there in the early afternoon on a Tuesday, it was packed! The only place to park was the paid parking lot right across from Damo. Parking was $5.00. I wouldn't recommend parking elsewhere outside of that street, as it is a sketchy area and lots of homeless encampments around the area. Would I return? Not sure.
