Well the food was ok, although pricey even for breakfast, but they didn't get either of our egg orders right. My wife ordered over easy and I ordered over medium, and mine were almost all the way cooked, and so were hers. Very little runny yolk. We didn't ask for new ones because of time, but would have otherwise. We came and stood inside and had to find our own seats, and ordered our food, and before even messing up our eggs, their register demanded payment and a tip, which we refused but attended to in cash on leaving. Overall I am not impressed, and while it wasn't a negative experience overall, it certainly only warranted 3 stars. read more

Everything on the menu is delicious! And some things are organic! The sauces that accompany some dishes are all homemade, nothing out of a bottle. For a casual cafe, the menu feels upscale to me. It is our "go to" place for lunch and is very reasonable for the high quality food you receive, especially for the Sonoma area where everything is so over priced! The staff are so friendly and make you feel at home and the service is great. We love eating outside on the patio. There are large trees that provide plenty of shade and plants growing all around. Stopped in and wanted a breakfast burrito and the girl is very helpful same girl took my money made the burrito chorizo egg cheese, got in my truck and start driving open it up and realized there was really nothing to it. It was the worst burrito I've ever had in my life. Jack-in-the-Box burritos are better than this thing. What a disgrace you should be embarrassed about serving that up to the public. My gut felt so sick after one bite. I threw it away. I actually want my money back. If I could give this restaurant no starts I would. I stopped to try Picazo Cafe a few weeks ago after hearing great things. This was during COVID restrictions, and they were offering take out only at the time. I ended up ordering the Cubano Sandwich with fries, and I would definitely come back-- mainly for those addictive fries!! AHHH! They are thin, super crunchy, and extra tasty! The sandwich was good too, but I wish it was heated through. I'm not sure why it was cold in the middle. The service was very friendly despite all of us wearing face masks, and allowing only three people inside at a time. Everyone, including other customers, were very respectful about personal space. I should be honest and start by admitting I have only eaten one item on the menu in the last 4 years I have visited regularly. Because if the one item is delicious and always perfect why mess with a good thing? I am speaking of the breakfast burger. The beef is always cooked as ordered, the egg is a fantastic addition, the flavors are well paired and the sauce absolutely delicious and not too spicy. The fries. Oh the fries. Great spot to pick up some grub if you are in a hurry or vice versa if you want to sit back and relax on a nice day. Been to Picazo multiple times and I tend to agree with a lot of other yelpers that the food varies on the day. I typically only come for lunch, so cannot really comment on breakfast or dinner. Parking can be tough, so please be aware of this, as they share a very tiny parking space with Juanita Juanita next door. It is dog friendly outside though which is great, but that seems to hold true for many restaurants in Sonoma. Prices are very affordable compared to downtown and food is pretty good. Out of the few burgers and various other sandwiches I've had, I would have to say the Bison burger is the go to for me as it usually is the most consistent and pretty tasty. I also always opt for the sweet potato fries as I am a sucker for them! Good selection of drinks as well, plus a large selection of vegetarian goods. Many seem to rave about the breakfast, so it looks like I need to re visit during the early hours to give that a shot to see if it moves the rating up. All and all, a good place for a meal, nothing outstanding, but it is better than most other options nearby. read more

We just moved to Sonoma ( from Napa, so not far, but such a big difference). We were without a stove for a week or so, so I got to try out several different places for takeout ( I've got 2 dogs that need someone home 99.9% of the time ). I rarely if ever, get burgers, but my husband loves them so I thought I'd try them, and they're really close to us. The place is interesting; kind of dive bar-ish ( not in a bad way!), and I wish I could have sat down and eaten inside there. The girl at the cash register, who was also the one who answered the phone when I called in my order, was super friendly and personable. I ordered 2 Picazo burgers; one with fries and one with onion rings. The order was ready in 10 minutes. The burgers were pretty much perfect. Cooked perfectly, on a great bun ( that's one of my issues with burgers; they're usually on some crappy, limp bun. These are really nice, substantial ( maybe Brioche?) buns. The fries were EXCELLENTLY perfect, crisp on the outside, not greasy. And the onion rings were FABULOUS! My husband said it's the BEST burger he's ever had. And the best fries he's had in years. I think it's the best food we've had since we moved here, so we'll definitely be back, and I'm looking forward to trying other dishes. read more

I had so many restaurant spots I wanted to try while in Sonoma and this wasn't one of them, it never came up on my searches or if it did maybe I just skipped it. Super casual, super laid back, small interior with a rather large patio area and the place was just straight up cool, that's the only word I can use to describe it. The staff was super helpful and nice, I had no idea what to get because to my surprise there were so many healthy options and I was loving it because it's not always easy to find healthy items on a menu. They had a veggie kaboom consisting of a portobello mushroom, grilled veggies, spinach and their special sauce. They had the power bowl with quinoa, eggs and veggies, vegetable omelettes, the kaboom bowl with loads of veggies over spinach that allowed you to add a protein, like I said so many healthy options and they all sounded delicious. They also had sandwiches, burgers, wraps, salads, just a perfect spot for any kind of eater. My boyfriend got a burger and literally before I could ask to try it, it was gone, he said it was fantastic. My chicken kaboom bowl was the BOMB, I got it with all three dressing sides that the woman behind the counter actually suggest I get and one dressing was better than the next. The Picazo sauce, wa wa wee wa, get two, maybe three. The chimichurry sauce, out of this world and then there was a third sauce, don't know it was but you should get it. We decided to sit outside at a table, moved to a different table because of the bees and the bees followed us so we had to end up going inside, which was a bummer. Also, super weird but realized by the end of our trip it's a wine country thing, the bathroom is located outside. However, it's super clean and beautiful and you'd never think it was an outhouse type of situation. They serve beer mosas, regular mimosas, michelada, so many great things. Too often food truck cuisine disappoints, with average edibles at inflated prices but not Picazo ! We got two orders of their Mahi-mahi fish and chips and they hit it out of the park. Three big and crispy, perfectly battered pieces of fish over fresh skinny fries and amazing coleslaw. Attention was paid to every aspect of the meal, creativity, taste and preparation. Throw in some malt vinegar and an herbed aioli and brother (sister) you got yourself a meal. Thanks to the Yelp community I found this gem and made it a lunch destination this past weekend. Although there are plenty of options in the square in Sonoma, we wanted something a bit different than our normal spots and have actually dubbed 2014 The Year of the Sandwich. This was after my boyfriend and I realized we don't eat NEARLY enough sandwiches during our dining adventures... Picazo Deli now has set the standard for Year of the Sandwich in a big way! The parking lot is small and it's easy to drive by, but well worth seeking out. We were greeted right away and shown the menus. The aroma of food being grilled and fresh bread permeated the shop. Although you can opt to take food out to go (perfect for Sonoma area picnics!) they had about 8 tables inside and several out on their patio as well. We came during that latter part of lunch-close to 2. While the place was buzzing, we were able to find a seat at that time. I got the Picazo veggie sandwich that included tomato, spinach, avocado, artichoke and mixed greens. Simple, yet delightful with their house made vinigrette and fresh array of produce. Everything was well layered and although it normally comes on their sliced sourdough bread, I asked to substitute for dutch crunch. Do yourself a favor and get your sandwich on dutch crunch! It was absolutely perfect-crisp on the outside but not the "break your teeth" type of crunch and doughy and deliciousy moist on the inside. Best sandwich I've had in quite some time. My boyfriend gave a thumbs up to his turkey sandwich and proclaimed it "top notch!" It had some jalapeno peppers on it along with mozzarella and other veggies. I want to say he ordered the "Saulsalito" but honestly I didn't even pay attention to what he got because I was so excited to place my order. I ordered a spicy sausage omelette. It was spicy! But I'd totally order it again. The potatoes were good too. My cousin ordered the veggie with no olives and chorizo. It was really good. My aunt ordered the veggie. It was ok, but something about the black olives was weird with eggs. The cappuccino was on point. Perfectly frothy and heavenly. What a great find!! We were looking for a casual breakfast place while touring the wineries and Yelp reviews Lee us here... lucky us! Everything was fresh and delicious! I had the avo toast with eggs (see photo) and it was unique and yummy and very filling. The roasted corn added the perfect sweet burst. Hubby got the Verona scramble with chorizo, Monterey Jack and jalapeños.... the best we've had! So glad we tried it... and the friendly resident cat was fun too!! DISAPPOINTED!!!! I decided to stop by here & grab breakfast since it's always packed in the morning I figured they serve good breakfast. Well that didn't go well, I had ordered a "meat, cheese & egg sandwich breakfast" not a "breakfast burrito." I'm not sure which part of my order says I wanted a burrito, anyways I had mine to-go, after I was called up to get my order I could tell right away it's a burrito so I let it slide thinking it's going to taste good anyways. Well, to my disappointment to whoever cooked this filling is definitely NOT a good cook.
