Turkey Chili Bowl + Matcha Latte
Gorden Y.

Hands down the best place for a hearty turkey chili in the area. It is filled with vegetables and comes with bread for dipping. I always tell myself I will try another menu item but I always come back for the chili. There's a lot of seating inside and outside the cafe. There is free wifi. The staff are always very friendly.

Great experience just shy 5 stars because there's a bit of a wait. But very worth it see the bodega breakfast burrito loaded with eggs and some potatoes. Like how they crisp up the outsides! Their green thick salsa is terrific too. Wish there were stickers with pricing for popsicles, wine, things in shelf in fridge. Used to be called San Marino Cafe.

Service here is just Great! The staff here were so sweet and friendly and helpful because I didn't know what to order. Cat (staff) & Jayden (staff) recommended me to try out the Breakfast Burrito and it hit the spot, like literally! It was just so perfect and so good to start my morning on the right path. Highly recommend for you to try this Breakfast Burrito. The ambiance here is amazing because it's located right at the corner of S. Euclid Ave & Mission St. and this street or "mini" downtown looking street is cute and a great place to relax and eat with friends or with family. I highly recommend this place to try for anyone. 5/5 stars

Lemon chicken orzo soup w bread: The most delicious lemon chicken orzo soup. The soup was seasoned perfectly and hit the spot! The bread was sooooooooooo good! I believe it was a rustic white but it kind of reminded me of sourdough? Incredible. 5/5 Banana brulee latte sub matcha half sweet: This was interesting. It kind of ended up tasting like dried apricots. There are some toffee notes in the banana syrup so maybe that's why. Lavender matcha: Absolutely phenomenal! It pairs incredibly well with the pastry and isn't too sweet despite me not making any adjustments! So good hot so make sure to finish it quickly or the matcha might settle on the bottom and the foam will get cold! 5/5 Apple crumble danish: The best pastry I've had in a while! And it was heated up so perfectly! A lot of cafes don't warm up their pastries enough but it was perfectly toasty and crisp! The layers were so light and crisp and the sweet filling was divine with small apple bits on the top and crumbles at the top. It is definitely on the sweet side but honestly it's so well done that I don't mind. Pairing this with a less sweet drink is key! Lavender matcha worked well but prob a coffee would be good too! 5/5 Also the service here was incredible! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating.

Came here after a Sunday lagree class, and we decided to order a breakfast burrito. The cashier was great, but the burrito took a while to come out ~ about a 15-20 minute wait. They were pretty busy for a Sunday morning, so it was understandable. I'd rate the burrito a 7/10. It was filling, but I mostly tasted the potatoes, so I didn't get as much of the other flavors as I was hoping for. I'd still come back to try other menu items though. This place has a small, cozy, community feel; there were a lot of locals eating and hanging out. Parking in the front was readily available.

Freshly baked bread alert. Come get it when it's hot. Their sandwiches are hot and delicious. Short rib sandwich is my fav lunch sandwich since it's marinated for hours before serving. Every bite so satisfying with soft bread. My fav breakfast sandwich is the breakfast egg sandwich with tomato/cheddar. Makes tummy happy with a warm breakfast sandwich. Piccadilly Grace is open 8-3p daily with outdoor seating only. Nestled in the center of South Pasadena off a busy street Fremont. Outdoors views are super serene and cute community garden views. Staff is hardworking and kind. Small parking lot but plenty of free street parking. Evenings is a smash burger pop up thats really good too.

Overall pretty nice spot for a quick casual brunch in this part of town. Plenty of parking around the area near the front of the shops. I got the farmer's daughter salad. This was super filling and I loved the candied nuts that added a nice texture to the whole salad. My fiance enjoyed his breakfast burrito although it was not as big in portion from what I could tell compared to the salad. The elixir was alright if you enjoyed mint but I'll probably stick to matcha next time.

GOOD FOR LUNCH ================ My husband and I rode our bikes from La Canada to San Marino Cafe on Sunday, April 6th. They have several tables outside along the side street, so it was easy to just park our bikes by our table. That was nice, so we don't have to worry about locking them up. I made the mistake of ordering a glass a wine because it took them at least twenty minutes to bring that. We were almost done eating by the time it arrived. The red wine was also bad and warm. It wasn't a very generous pour for the price either. I might be better off bringing my own. The food was great though. My husband ordered the Italian sandwich and he liked that a lot. I loved the chopped salad with scoop of tuna salad. We would definitely get those again.

Latte

Very friendly service. Great ambiance. Pesto sandwich - a big delicious sandwich, can be shared with two. Market salad - also massive, can also be shared with two. I didn't like the onion vinaigrette but they were kind enough to replace it with the Asian salad dressing. Latte - perfectly extra hot as requested. I would definitely come back :)

Been a few times and love the area. The food is great and came out quickly. Their potatoes are so good highly recommend!! The seating is comfortable but it can get packed pretty quickly. They have a handful of options for breakfast and lunch as well as a few pastries. I have yet to try their drinks but they have a solid selection offered. It's a nice place to study or catch up with a friend. I'd recommend and think the plates are reasonably priced

Cute place to grab a bite and patio seating. The service was great and attentive, especially it being our first time here. We got some sunrise breakfast sandwiches which consisted of egg, arugula, tomato, house spread, and your choice of meat protein (as desired). No cheese although I'm sure if you request they can add that (not sure if for an add-on fee). They also have some curated specialty items like wine, spreads, and bread if you want to grab some items for a picnic.

Came here when headed to the library and it was perfect. The building is cute and the parking was plentiful on a Sunday around noon. We were able to head in a grab a seat once we ordered. I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich and a Diet Coke and the sandwich was perfect. The chicken was moist and not overcooked and the bread was so soft. I will probably dream about this bread for a while. This place is super quaint and there were a number of folks studying/working as well as some socialization happening. It seems like a great place to do all of the things as their beverage menu includes coffee and alcohol as well as bottled/canned soft drinks. Overall, this place was just what I was looking for and I am happen we got a chance to stop.

After visiting the Arlington Garden, my husband and I stopped in this cafe. Good business! It is not cheap, however, the food is delicious, super quality, the vodoo vegan sandwich is incredible! The service is nice, friendly. The ambiance reminds a small coffee in Europe. I'm the same way so Californian. The portion is big, so you can share if you don't eat too much.

Beyond its innovative drinks, the café offers an impressive lineup of freshly baked pastries made in-house, ensuring there's something to suit every palate. From the moment our order arrived, the vibrant presentation left us even more excited to dig in. **Banana Cream Matcha: 4/5** The Banana Cream Matcha reimagined the classic matcha latte with a decadent twist. Topped with a luscious layer of banana-infused foam and crunchy almond toffee, it offered a satisfying textural contrast, while the housemade banana purée, featuring chunks of real banana, delivered a fresh, naturally sweet flavor. The latte was exceptionally smooth and creamy, but it leaned a bit too milky, causing the matcha's earthy notes to become fairly subdued. It was also slightly sweeter than my preference, making it feel more like a dessert-inspired matcha than a true matcha-forward latte. **Pistachio Croissant: 5/5** This was easily the highlight of our order. The croissant featured an incredibly flaky, crispy exterior that gave way to a light, airy interior with beautiful buttery layers. It was generously filled with a rich, nutty cream that accentuated the pistachio's deep, roasted flavor while maintaining just the right amount of sweetness. Finished with a white chocolate pistachio drizzle and a delicate dusting of powdered sugar, every bite was indulgent yet perfectly balanced. Overall, Danbi Coffee shows plenty of promise through its specialty drinks and well-executed pastries. While I'd love to see a bolder matcha presence in their lattes, the exceptional pistachio croissant alone gives me every reason to return and explore the rest of their menu.

But nooooo. Mr. B can smell sinfully yummy calories, even with a bag over his head, a mile away. Their specialty... chocolate croissants. Thus, we let Artisanal Goods lure us in. No parking, way too busy, way too full to seat us, a line bursting out the door, the tiny bakery cafe still seduced us. That is, Mr B circled the block in the car but pushed me out to get in line. It was the idea of a flaky, buttery, chocolate croissant crumbling all over his shirt that made him do it. And I had no intention of saying no. The line went quickly. The last Kouign Amann had just escaped my clutches to the guy in front of me, darn it. But there were still trays upon trays of freshly baked, massive chocolate croissants displayed in their custom, wood display case right next to the register. It had almost no flavor and tasted watered down, especially for the price. I expected a quality drink, but it was bland and absolutely not worth what I paid. To make matters worse, we were told to leave the patio an hour before the shop was even closing. If the patio has different hours, that should be clearly communicated instead of asking paying customers to leave early. Overall, this was a frustrating experience. Between the unfriendly service, flavorless coffee, and being asked to leave well before closing, I won't be coming back. There are plenty of other cafés in Pasadena that offer much better coffee and treat their customers with respect.

Service has been fine; you can order from a touch screen or at the end of the counter. Unfortunately, the quality has been hit or miss lately. We have enjoyed the lavender latte and pistachio toddy latte, as well as the burrito. However, a few recent misses include: - Pistachio croissant with an overpowering alcohol flavor, like someone used too much pistachio extract instead of real pistachios. - The matcha banana latte tasted very watery and bitter, and didn't seem to make the most of either flavor. It somehow added up to less than the sum of its parts, which was a bummer for $9.50. - Not exactly a miss, but the person behind the counter cautioned me that the coffee cake I tried to order was too stale. I appreciated that . . . but why are stale pastries even on display? We have also had several false starts attempting to order things on the menu that they are all sold out of. This isn't the end of the world, but when it happens multiple times, it starts to feel like the signage is more for decor than information about what's truly available. I also had a strange experience trying to use the restroom. I could barely reach it behind all of the storage, and even when I did get inside, I could not for the life of me find the light switch and had to use my phone's flashlight to see. This was a while ago, so maybe this part is better now, but it contributed to the overall feeling that things are not quite on track. I hope that they can resolve whatever issues are happening behind the scenes, because this is exactly the kind of place we want to support, and I still think it has a lot of potential!
