So we went to Piccolo Fazools Bistro for dinner, we made reservations and we were seated at a table per my request. We had the same waitress as we did the last time we were there. She is nice and sociable the waitress came over to the table with our waters and a bottle of water for the table. Then she took our food orders. I got the greens and beans it came to the table and it was lukewarm at best and not very tasty it tasted flat after I put hot pepper flakes, pepper and grated cheese on it-it was a bit better. And my significant other got the Fra Diavlo he said his was good but also needed a shot of flavor too? So he put the hot pepper flakes, pepper and grated cheese on his. Then we got dessert a slice of peppermint cheese cake which was actually good. It must've been an off night because I like going there and we will be back. I went to this restaurant by myself to have dinner, I was seating by the window on the front, which was the worse table as we had a winter storm that night and I got cold every time someone opened the door, but i chose this table so i could look outside and relax. The food was ok, but the customer service was not. I ordered an appetizer/entrée/ wine/dessert/coffee, the service was extremely slow. The manager asked if I could move to the bar as they had more reservations coming. They actually time you while eating, I didn't appreciate that, given that it took about 2 hours for me to eat because they were very slow. My family loves Fazools! Since COVID, we love to get their Family Style Meal Deal's with red sauce, penne, and chicken parm! It also comes with bread and a family size salad for a great price. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating, and always there to answer the phone which we appreciate. Before COVID I only got to eat inside once, but I had a great experience. I had their Spinaci thin crust pizza, which was so delicious! I'm a big fan of thing crust pizzas, and this one was great. I highly recommend trying them out if you're in the area! read more

I've been here twice and had a great meal both times. I'm Italian, make my own sauce and pasts so I'm fussy but everything here was great. I had the Fra Diavolo this time and it was excellent. We are not from brockport/Rochester area and all there is mostly is fast food places. Found piccolos on yelp and decided to try it. We were not disappointed at all, food was great. Staff was nice, it was a lil loud but whatever. Everything else made up for noise. The mozz balls were ridiculous. The scallops over linguine and burger. Wooo. The place seems nice the french onion soup was good. The "family style salad" listed on the menu was about the tiniest single portion salad I've ever had at an Italian restaurant. The Calamari had a ton of banana peppers and a decent amount of olives, definately had to dig deep for the calamari. The kicker was the fra diablo had no scallops as listed, when asked about that, was told they ran out of scallops and substituted shrimp, huh? Anyway there is no shortage of Italian restaurants around the westside, I will move on. read more

This place is one of my favorites. The ambiance is really nice. It's a good place for a relaxed dinner or to celebrate a special occasion. They offer great pasta, wine, and desserts. My favorite is "pasta your way" with marinara sauce. The pasta and the sauce is top notch. They used to have vegetarian lasagna from time to time, and that was very good. I also love the salad and bread. I don't eat meat so I have no personal impression of the meat offerings. However, my husband likes the spaghetti and meatballs. Second time going to Fazools, the first time service and food was amazing!! This time, the service was absolutely awful. Our server (Erin) forgot our soups and salads, kind of unfortunate when you don't even notice or take anything off the check for the inconvenience. We also sat there for minutes on end waiting for a refill and had to constantly try to get her attention to order an app or get another drink. I wanted to run out to my car and grab my apron (been a server for 13 years) just to jump on the floor and help her because clearly she isn't strong enough to work Saturdays, it really wasn't all that busy to be that far behind and to be inattentive to her tables. Adding a host or another server might do some good. Food however is absolutely exceptional. Will be back just for that reason, hope the owner/manager can find the help they need and deserve because the food is superb.
