Well... today is take…read moreout--my wife is recovering from flu-like thingy--and now that she is feeling better was ready for comfort food, spaghetti, AND a large pizza and delicious salad. (Don't forget to ask for potato salad on the side, too!) To be clear: she's not eating all of that by herself... or, at least I hope she isn't. I'm darned hungry! The service, as always, is excellent, whether on the phone, drive through or, the best, of course, when you get to dine in! I like that the best because you are always treated well, like an old family friend, which we are not, being relatively new to Land O Lakes when we first came here. You can sit at tables or booths. We are partial to the booths by the front windows. Anyway, gotta get home with our (I hope!) food!

My family and I had been meaning to try ABC Pizza in Land O' Lakes for about a year and a half, and…read moreI'm glad we finally made it happen. Sometimes the best local spots are the ones quietly serving their community while bigger chains get all the attention. ABC Pizza is a small, family-owned restaurant run by a local Greek family, and you can feel that community connection the moment you walk in. The dining room was clean, warm, and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful when guiding first-time customers through their fairly large menu. Since it was our first visit, we decided to order a variety of items and share everything so we could really get a feel for what they do. Of course we ordered pizza, but we committed what some people consider the ultimate pizza sin... pineapple and ham. It's what we love, and the kitchen didn't bat an eye. The pizza was excellent - unfortunately we enjoyed it so much that I forgot to take a picture before it disappeared. We also ordered the Greek Salad ($10.75) and it was massive. This was easily a meal on its own with garden-fresh lettuce, tomato wedges, feta cheese, Greek peppers, black olives, ham, and cucumbers. Everyone at the table loved it - including my teenagers who usually avoid salads entirely. The Buffalo Chicken Wings ($8.99) were another standout. They were crispy without being breaded, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. The Jalapeño Poppers ($10.50) were fine - nothing wrong with them, but they were probably the only item we tried that didn't really stand out compared to the rest of the meal. Where things got interesting for us were the grinders. We weren't exactly sure what to expect, but they're essentially a hot sandwich served on toasted bread with an open-face feel. We tried Billy's Grinder ($10.25) - a combination of meatballs and pepperoni with their house tomato sauce and melted cheese - and the Chicken Parmesan Grinder ($10.25). Both were excellent. The bread was toasted just right so it had a slight crunch on the outside while still staying soft inside, which made them incredibly satisfying to eat. Overall, ABC Pizza delivered exactly what you hope to find in a neighborhood restaurant: great food, generous portions, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be coming back again. Supporting local spots like this is easy when the food is this good.

Located in a strip mall off of us19 in Palm harbor is this little pizza parlor. Inside resembles those of NY minus the stand and go tables, including the pizza by the slice options which I appreciate. 2 large slices and a can soda for $7.99 isn't bad. The inside is basic and meant to be a pizza parlor vibe. It was awkwardly quiet though, being brand new I'm sure they are working on piping in some fun Italian music. Now comes the hard part. The pizza. As somebody who has spent a lot of time eating pizza in Manhattan, this may look like NYC pizza but it doesn't taste like it. The pizza was very bland and odd. Not very good at all. Unfortunately it ranks very low in pizza taste profile and probably top 10 worst pizza I've had. The quality is similar to papa John's and the taste reminds me of cafeteria pizza. To be fair in my assessment I tried both the cheese and pepperoni. I had high expectations but am left throwing half of it away because it's just not very good. I am sorry to have to write this especially about a new business, but 11 years as a Yelp elite my goal is always fair honest reviews for the users. I'm sure there are many people with less discerning taste buds who may like it. For me, it's a no

Gonna be really honest this is the closest to New York pizza because when you fold the pizza that's a whole different subject, but when you fold the slice of pizza where most people consider the proper way to eat a pizza you get that slight very fake crunch and I tell you it's addicting.
