Solid 5 stars for the food. This is not your average pizza joint. The food is restaurant quality. I used to go here often when I worked in the area 20 years ago and was happy to see it is still a top choice for gourmet pizza and Italian food. They haven't skipped a beat in 20 years, in fact they make even be better than I remember.

Chicken Parm Dinner I plate half so I'll have two meals.

My go-to for delicious, hearty Italian food. I've been ordering from here for over seven years. The pasta dishes are always fresh, and their sauces, especially the bolognese, are robust. They have a wide selection of everything, from appetizers and salads, to pasta, meats, and fish (and dessert, but I don't like sweets, so I can't speak to that). Each meal comes with tasty, fresh bread and a side salad, and I love that I can add ingredients like fresh mushrooms and basil. Attached is a photo of their chicken parm. dinner. It's well worth the price because of the quality ingredients and generous portions. I highly recommend Piccolo Trattoria!

Nothing beats a locally owned pizzeria! The number of slices they have available is incredible! Anything from plain cheese to a fully loaded slice! I got mushroom. The mushrooms are fresh not canned. The cheese pull is just right!

Jenet was so attentive and pleasant! Decorations were very well done. Food was very good. Will definitely visit this restaurant again!

A group of us celebrating the night before our 61st high school reunion had a wonderful dinner, complete with lots of amazing food and fun! Our waiters were attentive, and available to help with descriptions of menu options and offers of variations for us. We definitely will be back.

Nice Italian pizzaria restaurant in a strip mall near TCNJ college. Clean and bright with nice background Italian music and good service. Rustica appetizer -- cold antipasto with cold cuts, cheese, olives, and grilled vegetables was a nice start. This was followed by a pretty good pasta fagiole soup and Chilean sea bass special with mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe (overpriced special at $50 -- not a great surprise when receiving check as specials menu do not include prices). Finished off the meal with a homemade cannoli. One of my dinner companions had the tagliatelle with bolognese and he did not eat most of it -- he said it was just ok.

Upon entering the nicely cooled place, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated by a window adjacent to the wood fire oven. This was our first visit. The room is very lively. Thankful we were seated in the corner which helped with the acoustics. With the dining room mostly full at lunchtime, it was difficult to hear my bride on the other side of the table. We were in no hurry so overtime, the place thinned out a bit and the volume subsided. Could be a real issue on a busy night. Might try the bar room side next time. (Some decorative acoustic ceiling tiles would greatly reduce the noise.) There were menu additions as well as a limited but decent selection of value wines. We decided on the Shrimp Mango Avocado Tower and a Shrimp Caesar salad and a bottle of Villa Antinori. The Shrimp Mango Avocado salad is one of the best salads we have ever had. Really. Blueberry, strawberry, arugula, candied pecans, feta cheese topped with a limoncello dressing and aged balsamic with a few grilled shrimp. Was hoping for more shrimp, but the salad is very filling. The interplay of the various flavors was very tasty and the wine was a good paring. The Shrimp Caesar salad was also very good. I loved the anchovie and dijon forward flavors with just the right amount of garlic. The homemade croutons with just the right flavor and crunch. The pace was perfect. Server (manager?) was attentive but not overbearing. We had a nice relaxing and delicious light lunch. Exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be back to try the pizza and some desserts.

I typically never leave negative reviews because I know how difficult customer service and the…read morerestaurant industry can be. We all have bad days, and I truly understand that. However, after witnessing how my elderly father and his group of friends were treated during lunch on Wednesday afternoon, I felt compelled to share this as constructive feedback. My father and several of his friends, all gentlemen in their 70s, 80s, and 90s, met for lunch. There was some confusion about the final size of the party. Initially, they thought there would be six people, but as more friends arrived, the total ended up being eight or nine. One of the gentlemen immediately apologized for the mistake. I completely understand that changing table arrangements can be frustrating. However, what upset me was the way the hostess handled the situation. The first group of gentlemen had already been seated when additional members of their party arrived. Rather than simply moving them to a larger table, the hostess appeared visibly annoyed and began squeezing more and more chairs around the small round table they were already sitting at, repeatedly reminding them that they had said six people. She rolled her eyes, rushed them along, and spoke to them in a curt manner that made these older gentlemen seem like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. What made the interaction particularly confusing was that the dining room on that side of the restaurant was largely empty at the time, aside from people coming in for takeout slices. From my perspective, there appeared to be plenty of room to comfortably accommodate everyone, which made the frustration and lack of patience all the more surprising. As I dropped my father off, I witnessed this interaction myself. I was honestly shocked by how little grace and patience were shown. When the hostess later laughed it off to me and remarked that "they didn't know how many people there were," I simply replied that mistakes happen and that these are older gentlemen who deserved patience and kindness. Before leaving, I even asked that they please take good care of my father and his friends. When my father returned home, I asked how the lunch went. He mentioned that while the server did her job, she and the hostess were both rather rude throughout the experience. I wasn't present for the entire meal, so I can't speak to every interaction, but I can speak to what I personally witnessed, and it broke my heart. If you have an elderly parent or loved one, you understand why this upset me so much. But honestly, this isn't even about age. No one should be made to feel belittled or like a burden. My father taught me to respect my elders, and I was disappointed to see so little respect shown in return. The reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because the food itself was enjoyed, and thankfully my dad's friends have a wonderful sense of humor. By the end of the day, they were actually laughing together about how mean the ladies had been. But that doesn't change the fact that kindness and patience are just as much a part of hospitality as the food itself. This review is meant as constructive criticism. Service is hard, and everyone can have an off day, but I hope management takes this as an opportunity to remind staff that a little patience and compassion go a long way. For the record, I watched these gentlemen arrive, and there was no complaining, arguing, or rude behavior from them whatsoever, just an honest mistake about the headcount. People remember how you make them feel, and unfortunately, that is what will stay with me most about this visit.

The food was good, but the service was disappointing. We were dining in at 8pm and since we were…read morethe only customers, the staff began mopping the floors while we were still eating. The strong smell of cleaning chemicals made the experience unpleasant. It felt inconsiderate, as they didn't acknowledge us at all and seemed more focused on closing early. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

Days when you don't feel like cooking, Marco' s Pizza with their awesome salads are the way to go--especially on days you haven't gone exercising of for a long walk. NJ pizza is its own kind of thing, and their sauce is just right: not too sweet, nor too salty. The bread crust is fantastic and a bit of dip in Alfredo or regular sauce lets you not waste the food like our grandmothers taught us not to do. After all, we have people in today's world who do not get to eat any more--imagine being subjected to that by those who also received blessings from The Lord.
