We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge and this was located just a few minutes away. I needed a break from all the unhealthy food at our hotel. This is an awesome little place for very reasonably priced poke bowls and sushi. They use purple rice (tastes no different than white and is a lot healthier). Not a lot of seating indoors, a few places to sit outdoors, so best for takeout. We also found the air a bit smoky when they were deep frying our roll. Overall the food is 10/10, ambiance is 6/10. Staff seems nice but our interaction was limited to paying at the counter. They also sell Hawaiian canned beverages. We will definitely be coming back if we're ever in town. read more

While I still really enjoy this place, I do want to mention that they have implemented some changes since the last time I came here. They have cut back on some of their toppings and eliminated the spicy crab mix that they used to have. It also seemed like the avocado slices are thinner than they used to be. I'm not even sure you get a full half of an avocado anymore. They did have a sign advertising sushi burritos which was new though. Additionally, the portion size is definitely smaller than it used to be. You still get a decent amount of food, but I do remember the plenty used to be massive, let alone even trying to attempt the Godzilla. The flavor is still good and I enjoyed my lunch but I do be aware some changes have been made if you have been before. If not, it's still absolutely worth trying. read more

Yummy fast dining sushi/poke spot! Fresh, colorful, delicious ingredients and a very friendly staff. They changed their business model where they no longer have a prepared sushi "grab and go" station. Now you fill out an order sheet and hand it to a worker to prepare your food fresh. I got a poke bowl with salad as my base and tuna as my fish. You only get to choose one type of fish which was a bit of a bummer, but it was amazing quality at least. I also got a variety of toppings including cucumber, red onions, crab, seaweed salad, and avocado (extra 75 cents). It was beautifully put together and balanced well with the sauces! I chose poke sauce, ponzu sauce, eel sauce, and sesame oil. I also got a rainbow roll which I saw a worker prepare fresh and quickly. The forbidden rice they use is a unique touch and added a bit of extra flavor too! This is a classic roll that I love trying from each sushi place I go to. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and freshness of the ingredients used here! The staff was also very friendly and the prices are more than fair for what they're serving. I LOVE Kodo and didn't even realize they were associated until today haha. I stopped in on my way home from work and was super impressed! I ordered ahead and got a poke bowl with rice, ginger, edamame, tofu, carrots, onions, pepper, seaweed, avocado, tofu, sesame seeds, and spicy cream sauce. I did ask for sauce on the side instead of on the bowl and they forgot, but that's ok. I also got a sweet potato roll because that is my FAVE, and of course, it was totally delicious. I got the build your own sushi burrito (other option is poke bowl) with purple rice with spicy salmon ( very yummy & spicy ), edamame, furikake seasoning, carrot, cucumber, eel sauce, and sesame seeds. I kept it simple as it was my first time but they had lots of options to put in your burrito. It was a great size, was easy to eat, and even came with eel sauce and spicy mayo to drizzle on top! The restaurant gave us the option to customize a poke bowl or sushi burrito and we chose the poke bowl. The flavor was good, but there was BARELY any tuna in the bowl. There was about 4-5 little pieces. I feel like that was a half portion compared to other poke places. We also ordered the Las Vegas Roll and the Eel Nigiri (came with three pieces). Both rolls were good but there was TOO much sauce on both. The Las Vegas Roll was deep fried and the excess amount of sauce just made it overwhelming. As for the Eel, I couldn't even eat them in one piece because the sauce permeated the rice and made it break off. I had to wipe off almost all of the sauce to finish both items. I may give this place another try in the future, but it's not on the top of my list. If I do go again, I would definitely ask for less sauce on the sushi and more protein in the poke bowl to make my meals more enjoyable. read more
