Our boys wanted something different and they happily made whatever to order. We had Poke bowls and both of us wanted we shocked about how fresh and amazing the flavors were. I love that we could customize the bowls and there was a huge variety to choose from. One of the best aspects of our experience was the service. The boys kept commenting on how friendly and happy the staff was throughout our visit. You couldn't help but smile and be in a good mood in their presence. Yay! This place is a winner. Had seen this place on Yelp while craving sushi and at the Target next door, but from the reviews I thought everything was pre-made and couldn't customize, so I passed. The sushi craving followed me through to the next day, so I gave it a shot to order on Uber Eats. I put special requests in - spicy crunch shrimp roll, no crab, veggie roll + cream cheese, standard order of gyoza. I was curious if they would accept the order, and they did. Food arrived exactly as ordered. Packaging was clean and nice. And that purple rice? Ah-maaaaaazzzinng. It was so unique. And everything tasted fresh and delicious. Brand new poke/sushi bar, BUT, this place does all of their rolls and bowls with special PURPLE rice!! It's the only Poke place I know to do so, and only the 2nd place in all of AZ to do their sushi this way (but way closer to me than Phoenix, Yay!!) You can customize your bowl and they have a bunch of pre-made rolls, but I custom made my own roll, and the sushi here was amazingly fresh and delicious!! I had spicy tuna with cucumber and jalapeño. The sushi portion was excellent and they even came out to ask if I wanted the sesame seeds (for sure, it added a great extra color and consistency!) The wasabi and ginger were even fresh and perfect, and I cannot say enough about the quality here. All of the sashimi I saw looked excellent and I can't wait to go back and try a poke bowl with the spicy shrimp!! They gave me an extra roll to try with soy paper since I had also ordered mine with Soy paper, and it was also fantastic, the special of the day, with lettuce, carrots, crab, avocado, cabbage, cucumber and something EXTRA spicy, not sure what, but whew! Great new poke place in the pavilions. They use purple rice in their sushi and the bowls. The rice is very good and goes well in the bowl. Lots of toppings to choose from and portions are spot on. They also have pre-made sushi rolls that you could grab and go. Definitely a step above grocery store pre-made rolls so don't let the similar packaging scare you. We had a California and a crunchy roll and both were delicious. We will definitely be back, kids liked it too so that is always a plus. read more

This place is gonna get really popular really fast. The food is amazing, and the value is phenomenal. We got the smaller (2 protein) and larger (3 protein) Poke Bowl sizes, 2 cans of Coke, and gyōza, they gave us miso soup, we were stuffed when we left, and it only cost $26 and some change total. The sushi was very fresh tasting, with no lingering after taste. It was just solid all around. The service was very prompt and friendly. There's limited seating, but they've made the best of their limited space and they're ready for people to call in to-go orders as well. We came here on a whim while heading to the movies next door. Very very unsanitary! I don't normally share bad experiences, specially now that many small restaurants and businesses are struggling but I can't let this one pass. No one wears mask or hair nets while they make your food. The cashier kept talking over my food while it was being made. She had no mask and kept leaning over my food as she talked to the guy preparing my food. When I told her, she acted like I had two heads. When I finally got my rolls, there it was, a nice black hair right on my food, from the guy making the food, with no hair net. I know accidents happen, but this establishment clearly, absolutely does NOT follow any food safety or COVID safety protocols. Will never eat there again. read more

Update: I went in today to try one of their poke bowls. I was disappointed to find that they have reduced their topping options and removed the spicy crab that I was looking forward to. For fish, I chose the poke salmon and spicy tuna. The salmon is great but the tuna was a bit chewy and not the texture of very fresh fish. Their website only shows 1 phone number so I didn't know there were 2 locations and showed up to the wrong one to pick up and ended up driving 25 more minutes to this location to get it. Note: I have included a basic recipe at the bottom of this review to get you started. I haven't written review in quite a while, but this it's so over-the-top good that I had to write a review. First, it's important to know what this place isn't. It's not a sushi bar, it's not a poke place, and it's not a regular restaurant. Now for what it is. It is primarily a takeout place where you come in and choose from a series of items that creates a custom dish of your making. It's not terribly unlike many other semi assembly line restaurants in concept, for example Chipotle's or Subway. However, it is vastly different in the type of ingredients. The ingredients tend to be very Japanese / Hawaiian / Korean. And they are very high quality ingredients. Not only are the ingredients high-quality, but the portions are really generous. My wife and I shared a 2 protein dinner, and we were both well fed. The young Korean man who we spoke with twice on different occasions, was extremely personable. His name is Sang Min Park, and I believe he is the manager of the place. They are open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. 6 days a week and closed on Sundays. STARTER RECIPE: If you like poke, then you will probably like this recipe. I put it together out of my head, and I don't know how to make poke, but it satisfied my craving for poke. Purple rice, purple cabbage, kimchi, cucumber, pickled ginger, avocado, marinated tuna (two servings,) dried seaweed, sichimi powder, poke sauce I'm not done reviewing this place yet. WHY DID I WAIT!! 1. They are sister restaurants with my favorite place in DT Phoenix, Harumi. Purple rice is my jam. 2. The bowls are generous - you get a lot of options to stuff in there. 3. I have tried most of the fish and all is fresh and flavorful (have not tried the shrimp options yet) 4. Their purple rice is always to die for and the quality of the fish is out of this world for the price! Dude! I wish that I lived closer so that I could come here every day! This place is amazing! For a mere $8 or $9, you get to choose 3 or 4 (respectively) proteins for your poke bowl. You can get it on rice or on salad, and it comes with unlimited toppings. Yep. You read that right-- unlimited! Including seaweed salad, crab salad, crunch, edamame... more toppings that I can even recall. The salmon came either plain or spicy or teryaki and the tuna was the same; shrimp was plain or spicy. The sauces were delicious, and the service was quick and with a smile. Seriously, I drove an extra 20 minutes on my way to the airport just to go back here one more time before flying home. It's THAT good! Okay, now, just writing this, I am already sad again that I live so far away...
