It was previously a worthy stop-off when the trip north or south was long and you needed a decent quality comfort-food bite on the fly. Sadly, this restaurant is now crossed off my list of options. Pricing here has gotten out of control (a hamburger is 30-35 dollars....a *hamburger* ?!?), with service nothing particularly special. So you will be paying roughly double, or more, for the price of a menu roughly equivalent to the quality of an Applebee's. The restaurant will argue these are the new inflationary market prices, supply demand dynamics, summer travel pricing to offset slower winter travel season, etc etc. But reaming the customer ain't a great recipe for having folks like me ever returning. It simply isn't worth it to dine here anymore, so I will keep driving past Virginia Creek Settlement and wave.

And passing thru Bridgeport hungry from long miles of driving.... And you get punched in the eye with a gazillion choices... restaurants, bars, restaurant-bars and everything else Bridgeport has compressed into a few blocks. Don't fret. RHINOs: dive bar, restaurant, pool hall, social center, and THE place to be in Bridgeport for a quick or long stop for YOU. Food is amazing (we had a veggie burger). Place is decorated with appropriate nicks and knacks yet it remains spotless clean. STEVE: owner, cool dude who took the time to talk to us about the area, music, off roading and recovery, and a bunch of other rando topics we brought up. We traded stickers and exited. If you are traveling through town this eatery is sure to satisfy hungry and thirsty travelers. They have a large menu with something for everyone. A great bar with many large screen televisions. 2 pools tables are also a great local draw. We ordered the French dip - the roll was soft, the sliced beef tender and lean and the au jus very flavorful. It was too much to eat as it comes with many tasty french fries. The grilled chicken salad was large with tender and juicy grilled chicken. The house salad with honey mustard went well with the most perfect piece of cheesecake. Locals love this place and I hope you do too.

The pizza itself - 5 stars and gobbled up before I could even take a picture (chalk it up to the altitude and a full day of skiing?). Even the crust was delicious, and we usually don't eat the crusts. The service was meh. No smiles from the cashier and appeared to be super unhappy to be working, but with the taste of the pizza happy to overlook that. We also didn't dine in at the patio or downstairs area, but the ambiance at the counter ordering was just bare minimalist with 2 benches to wait at. The kicker and minus a star was because I appreciate full disclosure if you do toppings on half the pizza that they are still charging you as if it was on the entire pizza. So when they say oh we can do half olives and half mushroom, you're actually paying double and the same price if you had 2 toppings on the whole pie. Then when you look at the pricing for their specialty pizzas (e.g. veggie, it's cheaper and you get 4 toppings!). Also, nowhere on the menu section of the build your own, do they say what the base pizza price is. For what it's worth, a large BYO pizza is $32. FYI: $1.25 is added for any togo orders. Also, they have a call ahead for pickup number to save time (760-648-7774).
