My wife and I where staying in Bridgeport for the night 2 weeks ago on Thursday night. Our motel recommended we eat there as I mentioned salad on the menu. It's clearly a neighborhood bar as it was fairly crowded on a Thursday night about 6:30 pm. Vast menu but I ordered a cold bear a salad with grilled chicken and my wife a house burger with fries. I like this place a lot already although I didn't actually eat here but will be coming back next weekend. I did do a scouting and it was quite satisfactory. First off it looks very clean and comfy inside. The ambience is cozy. When I came in I asked for the menu and when I saw a garden burger I had to ask questions because the brand garden burger makes vegetarian patties but only one of them is actually vegan The garden burger is from US food brand Molly's kitchen and the AI tells me it is indeed vegan. It's just named as Garden burger. Looks like this would be good with the jalapeño substitution here's a really cool part, this restaurant shows up on PlugShare as having Tesla charger. Indeed it does have one around back and when I got there a Tesla was charging. Note that this is a level 2 charger. The owner has a Tesla but he just lets people use the charger at no cost. That's super cool because 395 can be a challenge if you're driving EV. Range anxiety contributes to appetite and it really is nice to be able to get a few electrons flowing while you go inside and have a bite However most people will want to go charge at the Shell station where they have both Tesla superchargers and Electrify America. I can confirm that the ladder was indeed working this weekend of May 9, 2026. There are four of them and they're in good shape. This place is awesome! Love the atmosphere, the pool tables and all the seating. We always come here when we are in town and the food is delicious. There is something for kids, plenty of drinks on tap, and the food is good. The staff is quick to help you, your food comes out quick and everyone is friendly. Will definitely be back! read more

Came I had such a great experience here and really wanted to share it. On our first visit, we stopped in late for a quick slice of pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. Somewhere along the way, I lost my ring and didn't realize it until later. When we returned a few days later, not only did we come back for more food (because it was that good), but the staff had actually found my ring and safely held onto it for three days. I was so relieved and incredibly grateful for their honesty and kindness--it really meant a lot. On our second visit, we tried the Parmesan wings and mozzarella sticks, and both were amazing. Everything we've had here has been fresh and flavorful, and the service goes above and beyond. Great food and genuinely good people. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

I stopped here for lunch while passing through town and it did the job. I got a small barbecue chicken pizza, but it had so many pepperoncini that it overpowered the pizza and was too spicy. My friend got a chicken salad and that was pretty good. The service was rather slow. I'm obsessed with Rhino's. We stopped here on our way home from camping and I found something new to love about it every minute I was there. I ear huddled a conversation the bar owner Brian had with another patron and I was so impressed with him. He was SO NICE and hospitable. The decorations are amazing. They have a patch wall, which is always appreciated. Also the funniest bathroom frame, pictured. The food came out and it was delicious. I had the fish and chips, the fish was fried to absolute perfection. My husband had the French dip and the horse radish was fresh as hell and the perfect amount of meat to roll ratio. Nice friendly employees and food fit for hungry travelers. I'd like to elaborate more, but I only got a pizza and didn't delve into the menu. My small 10-inch pizza was good. It, along with a cold beer, filled me up. Since I was traveling solo, I didn't have to worry about offending, so I ordered an onion and garlic. Hey, it's one of those that you always want, but knowing that it'll follow you for a while, you put it off for another day. For me, that day was today. I was slightly disappointed when seeing that the pizza delivered to my table didn't have sliced onion and sliced garlic. I guess that would have been asking too much for small-town pizza. However, if restaurants would pay attention to the minor details, they could become a destination rather than motivation urged by hunger. I know, I know, I'm picky. But if one gets used to settling, then settling gets used to you. Quick Tip: Before hitting the Rhino, take out a dollar bill and write something witty on it. When you get there, find a hole on the wall and plaster it there. After all, it's only a dollar, and these days, worth less every day. And that's my two cents! read more

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. We arrived on a Sunday evening at about 6:45 pm . We ordered drinks and when we were about to order food we were told - no fish, no chili, no sandwiches on buns or rolls!!! That should have been a giveaway! They say their burgers are 1/2 lb wygo beef. I ordered a burger medium rare my wife ordered wings. After waiting 45 mins for our food I told a server to cancel our order but just then the food arrived. The food was terrible the burger was overcooked and looked as though it had been cooked for a long time and left in a warmer. The wings were also terrible. When I pointed all the above to our server she stated 'we only have one cook as the main cook called in sick!! ' l would never recommend anybody dining at this place. read more

"This is my kind of place". Small town bar and grill with an emphasis on good food. Rhino Burger was big and fresh-cooked to my requested medium stacked high with onion rings, lettuce, bacon, ripe tomato and requested BBQ sauce. The french fried potatoes appeared to recently sliced from russets on the spot. Grilled chicken salad was made with fresh leaf (not ice berg) lettuce, nicely grilled chicken breast, fresh tomatoes in more than ample quantity and quality. Went there a few days ago. 1) They have free Tesla Charger for customers. (just one, but that area is hard to find Tesla charger, so it is very good). 2) Employees are super friendly and nice. 3) Food is pretty good, from lunch time sandwich to dinner. 4) Decor is cute, like mid-west style bar 5) Has pool table 6) A few large TV for watching sport games. Not many choices in this town and it mostly felt like locals on a Thursday night. We got the Aloha and Rhino pizzas. Despite the mushrooms, sausage and ham/pineapple, they were not wet or greasy. We really enjoyed it. The garlic fries were a nice treat. Margaritas were heavy on the ice but it's a tiny town trying to make it. It gets loud because ... it's a bar! It's to be expected. The first night it was fine but the second night it was too much so we went across the street to eat. Nothing wrong with it, we just weren't in the mood that night. Maybe this place is great for locals but if you're not they ignore you and lose your food multiple times. Multiple locals walked in, ate and left while I was sitting here hungry. We visited Rhino's Saturday night. Hubby had the Ribeye steak. He was very impressed with the quality and taste of the steak. I had the crispy chicken salad which was also very good. We sat at the bar by the relief bartender and had a great time. He was joined by a friend and they were both so easy to talk with. The bartender/owner was busy but still got us our drinks in a timely manner, and made an excellent Marguerita. Had the calamari appetizer and it was really good. We really had fun! We were passing through Bridgeport and wanted to stop for lunch... we saw Rhino's Bar & Grill from the main road and decided to stop. We were greeted and seated with no wait. We ordered the Chef Salad and a Ribeye Steak. The salad was loaded with Turkey, Ham, Cheese, Boiled Egg, and Avocado... it was beautiful! The Ribeye was seasoned well and cooked perfectly!! Our waiter, Thomas, did a great job attending to us. It was only his first week working and he was professional, considerate, and attentive. The restaurant was spacious and clean... We love this place! We go on our annual fishing trip with our grandchildren and this place is the first thing they start talking about. I read some of the reviews, everyone leaving hateful reviews please remember their busy time is summer when tourists are everywhere. I stayed in Bridgeport for a couple of nights while exploring the 395 corridor and one of my stops was Rhino's. It had a great lively atmosphere and it seemed like the place to go in town, not that there's a plethora of choices. But for what little choices there are, Rhino's seems to fit the bill for many of the locals along with tourists like me. I had a burger and they have a good selection of different compositions. My order was good and I figured that if a restaurant screws up a burger, they'd definitely hear about it on here. They'd done good. read more

Planning our family trip this summer and wanted to visit this establishment providing some changes had been made with the bartender that was working last time (he badmouthed the people in town and the owner for quite some time during our last visit). I was told by the owner that he would not be returning (him and his "doppleganger brother"), but someone has told me he (they) still works there. I will verify, but if that is the case not only did the owner mislead me, but I will not be returning with my family this year. I see there is a new restaurant in town. I will have to try that one maybe. Best of luck to Rhinos. The food was pretty good, and the rest of the atmosphere was nice. But they need new people working there. When the owner is there, its a much different experience. Our first experience was not very good with the bar service. However, the food was ok, but a little expensive. This time the owner was there and it was a HUGE difference in service, and food. Smiling, friendly, attentive, patient. The first time, not so much (mainly with the short bartender dude with a moustache). I may have to call ahead next time to make sure the owner is in because even the food was presented nicely, clean dishware, and food tasted great and cooked just how I like it.
