One of the few places that was available for us while staying at June and after all the great reviews, we had high hopes. The pizza itself - 5 stars and gobbled up before I could even take a picture (chalk it up to the altitude and a full day of skiing?). Even the crust was delicious, and we usually don't eat the crusts. The service was meh. No smiles from the cashier and appeared to be super unhappy to be working, but with the taste of the pizza happy to overlook that. We also didn't dine in at the patio or downstairs area, but the ambiance at the counter ordering was just bare minimalist with 2 benches to wait at. The kicker and minus a star was because I appreciate full disclosure if you do toppings on half the pizza that they are still charging you as if it was on the entire pizza. So when they say oh we can do half olives and half mushroom, you're actually paying double and the same price if you had 2 toppings on the whole pie. Then when you look at the pricing for their specialty pizzas (e.g. veggie, it's cheaper and you get 4 toppings!). Also, nowhere on the menu section of the build your own, do they say what the base pizza price is. For what it's worth, a large BYO pizza is $32. FYI: $1.25 is added for any togo orders. We had super low expectations considering this pie shop was in the middle of June Lake middle of nowhere. We were so delighted by the quality of the pizza and the fun saloon vibe and patio downstairs! We liked it so much we came back the next day for more ny style thin crust flavorful topping pizza slices. The bbq chicken with pesto was an inspired flavor combo bomb, the pizza definitely passed the fold test and had some good char on the bottom. It was maybe only slightly underdone could have used 1 to 2 minutes more, but after a long day of hiking and driving it we were so ravenous and barely noticed. Excellent pizza, reminded me of home in nyc, reasonably priced and spacious seating with a stage downstairs! A solid pizza option when you are staying in or near June Lake. My friend really liked this spot as she had been here in the past and we opted to come here for pizza one night over the weekend. I'm glad we came because the pizza was good and we stayed eating our pizza at the T-Bar social club. Very causal and lowkey vibes. I like how they make it easy by just keeping a table with paper plates, utensils and waters near the entrance. You basically set up the table for yourself and then the pizza is brought to you after your order is taken. Every table had a metal rack already on it for the pizza plus a side shaker of cheese and chili flakes. Smart and easy. The pizza menu was pretty extensive with a good amount of pre made styles to choose from. You could also build your own pizza. My friend highly recommended the New Yorker which had meats, mushrooms and ricotta. I was sold. We shared a medium pizza which was plenty as we both weren't starving but it was perfectly filling. The pizza was solid and definitely fresh and had great ratio of toppings. I'd say the pizza overall was a 4/5 stars which for me is pretty good as I'm picky with pizza. Wow what a great place! Consistently awesome food here, it's amazing that there's such a high quality pizza joint in the middle of this tiny town. June Lake has a lot to offer but having a amazing New York pizza fresh out of the oven 15 minutes after you order it is truly the bomb. Just wait till you taste their pizza it's really really really good :-). It's just brimming with deliciousness from the high-quality ingredients which there are a lot of ....we ordered a medium and could not finish it and we're very hungry. We've ordered a large Supreme in the past and it is just massive. The service is friendly and they genuinely want to make you an awesome pizza. Not a whole lot of seating here but you can sit inside or at the bar where you can also order their pizza. We prefer to take it home and enjoy it. Let me start by saying, we are very, very fortunate to have June Pie Pizza! With it being the ONLY dining option (out of the usual 3) open in town the last couple of days, June Pie are real troopers, pretty much feeding everyone. So during a recent ski trip, when my son and I were looking for a place to eat and our usual spot wasn't open, we were happy to find June Pie and were soon pleasantly surprised that we did not have to settle for any port in a storm. This pizza is the bomb, the best NY style I've had outside of NY even. I eat a lot of pizza. The first night, we walked in and placed an order for a 12" pep (and beer) to go. It's a large place, but not currently geared for dine in. Go next door if you want to eat the same pizza but sit down. A friendly gal took our order and it was no more than 10min start to finish. At the room, we opened the box and were in shock. The thin, irregular and bubbly crust, light sauce and cheese and beautiful pepperoni slices suggested something good was coming. We were not disappointed. The crust was wonderfully light and crisp, with good chewiness to it. The sauce was so light and simple, you could taste the tomatoes with none of that thick, sweet pasta sauce taste. The cheese too was light, but flavorful - a perfect balance between the three. Pepperoni was delicious as well, with just the right amount, thickness and great flavor. This pizza is made with love. They have all types of toppings and yummy looking combinations BTW, we went for the basics. The med 12" we had on the first night was good for two of us, but the second night we went for broke and ordered a large 16" for takeout by phone. The large should feed 3, but we were super hungry. Well ... We are back and of course it was a must to get my pizza pie!!! OMG... It's even better than I remembered!! We ordered a pie for pick up. It took a few attempts to get them to pick up but once they did, our order was taken promptly and politely with a 15 to 20 minute pick up time. We pulled up and paid and off we went back to our cabin. The large is HUGE!! I should have reread my last review knowing the medium was enough for the two of us. But it's ok, because their pizza is amazing!! And it's even better the day after lol. Now I can't believe I'm going to say this, because I have a high standard for what kind of pie I like and no one has ever topped my local pizza place in NoHo... You can order at the window and there is one table outside for seating. If you wnat to sit inside, you will have to walk down the driveway to the Social Bar. We ordered the staff recommended pizza which was pepperoni, garlic and cilantro. We also ordered a Supreme. The crust is thin crust and the staff recommended was DELISH! the rest of our party that tasted the Supreme said it was very good. I didn't taste it so I can't comment on the Supreme. We ordered Bahama mama's (very good), vodka tonics, gin tonics and a Tom Colin's. ALL the drinks were good. Service was good, bartender who was our server was friendly.
