This spot has a wide variety of things to choose from. We stopped here after Bodie State park. it was delicious! We ordered a Mushroom Bacon Burger and a Bacon Cheese burger. Both were delicious, one of the better burgers I've had recently. We also got milk shakes - they have so many flavors to choose from or mix and match. My throat was parched. I needed some relief. I'm thinking a small chocolate cone should just about do the trick. It was my turn. I stopped in this little place for lunch while making my journey up Highway 395. I found the food to be very tasty, as well as a friendly and courteous staff working there. The place offers window service and has no indoor seating, just outdoors only. For this reason, I asked how they do business in the winter and was told they actually close up, so please keep that in mind if you happen to be there in off season. I ordered a turkey burger combo, which came with fries and a drink. I thought the turkey burger was excellent. I made a quick stop for lunch while motorcycle riding in the area viewing the changing fall colors mostly from the Aspen trees nearby(East coast please don't laugh its what we have to work with). I thought I'd try Jolly Cone and ordered the Chicken Sandwich. It was a little busy, but the order was up pretty fast. The sandwich was very good and a wonderful surprise. I've been to Rhinos, Burger Barn, Bridgeport Inn, and Jolly Kone. Jolly takes the win. They are INCREDIBLE. Burger was so good, tasty, seasoned, and fresh vegetables. The bacon was so good on the burger as well. Bartender sucks at Rhinos talking trash about everything in life, and rude to the customers. Burger Barn says their food is mexican but no marinade on the asada? C'mon. So when we ate at Jolly Kone we were so happy. I like the setting of Rhinos so if that dude M*** is gone, I will revisit. However, will be hard to pull me away from here. Yes, there is usually a wait, because they are super popular and its worth every second. Will definitely visit again when they open next month. Jolly Kone is a great place in Bridgeport to grab some food, ice cream, or both. It took me a while to try this place because Burger Barn is about 4-5 doors down and there is where I usually go to grab an awesome burger after a long day's hike. However, while in Bridgeport with my wife one day, she was pushing me to break my habit and give it at least one try. Fellas, you already know that when your wife wants something, she'll usually get it. Lol. I ordered the burger with the full intention of comparing it to Burger Barn and after just the first bite, I knew that (in my opinion) Burger Barn definitely had the better burger. However, that's not a knock on Jolly Kone. Their burgers are juicy and flavorful. The fries aren't bad. I think they could use some work. I'm not sure if it's that the two places prepare their burgers differently that makes me like Burger Barn more, but in any case, Jolly Kone is still a solid option You can also fill up on your ice cream craving. They serve up some very good "Kones" here. Do keep in mind, though, that even smallest sized cone is still a decent amount of ice cream. They certainly don't skimp on the servings. All told, if you're in Bridgeport and want some good food while recovering good customer service, you can't go wrong with Jolly Kone. read more

Stopped in Bridgeport for breakfast and saw this was the busiest place. That's always a sign! They have a large variety of options, including several breakfast sandwiches. We ordered a breakfast burrito substituting bacon for the sausage and a bacon, egg, cheese sandwich. My burrito was way larger than I expected! So delicious. The sandwich was a bit smaller than he expected (it was eaten before I could take a picture!) but delicious, too. The staff was so nice and friendly. They had several hand washing stations available, signs to inform the public on COVID-19, and several packs of Clorox wipes. Stopped in on a Saturday night as most of the town closes between 5pm and 6pm (even on the weekends). We got there around 5pm and there was one family finishing up their meals as we ordered. There were two young people behind the counter - the boy taking orders was nice, but you can tell he is young and lacked the professionalism it takes to be the "face of the business" so to speak. He and the girl kept whispering and he would put his face down to laugh at whatever she was saying in between listening to what we were ordering. The food came quick and was good and wasn't terribly expensive for the two of us, which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 3. We didn't try the ice cream, as we were too full from the burgers. All seating is outside and we felt like the birds were plotting our demise in an attempt to get a fry or two. It seems like getting employees is difficult in this area, and they had signs up that their hours may be weird because of that. Overall, it is a good frosty style burger that I think could be better with some training and expectations. read more

Jolly Cone has a jolly charm to it and it has everything you can possibly need and more from a road trip stop. It's nestled in a breathtaking location alongside the road with walk up windows so you can order easily without having to enter a building (so important for moms who have sleeping children in the car or pets that need open windows). I saw the sign and although it's a bit vintage and worn down, it was inviting and I could see a crowd lined up, which is a good sign. I ordered a baby cheeseburger(comes with delicious skinny, crispy, perfectly salted fries) and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The burger was so juicy and fresh. It was suppose to be for my little girl, but I ended up ordering another for myself. I was so impressed with the quality. The peanut butter and jelly was loaded with peanut butter and jelly and most importantly they use soft white bread. I know it's so simple, but not all peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are made equal! There's plenty of seating and shade in front and they even have mini cute baby bench which my daughter loved sitting on. Their menu not only has the usual burgers and fries. They also have breakfast items, hot dogs, burritos, ice cream and more!! They closed out of nowhere (pretty early) while eating our food so we didn't get a chance to taste their ice cream. Watch out for their hours if you're planning on ordering dessert after your meal. Service is fast and friendly. Clean restrooms available. I just can't wait to stop by again. read more
