    Vanilla Strawberry Swirl

The ice cream here is seriously some of the best! My cousin and I both got the strawberry vanilla swirl and it hit different The employees are quick, helpful and nice, and there is a seating area if you want to chill out with your cones! I have not gotten any food here but it looks great and the ice cream is to die for! 10/10

This place is ok. The food itself is like a 4/5 stars; it's not the best you've ever had, but it does the job, especially when you are really hungry in a small town like Bridgeport. All food could use more seasoning, and all food was slightly over fried. However, I do not like the atmosphere of this place, which is why I question if I would happily come back. The reason why I do not like the atmosphere is because the place is completely chaotic because it's small and doesn't account for the amount of people coming to this place because there are very few restaurants around Bridgeport. It just always feels rushed here and not relaxing, and the wait can be a bit long as well, both waiting for the food itself and waiting in line to get the food. The customer service from staff is good though, even though I can tell that they are stressed out by how busy and chaotic this place is (trust me, I would be too if I was working here). Overall, this place is a solid 3/5 stars; good (but not great) food, good customer service, but chaotic atmosphere.

The strawberry and vanilla ice cream swirl is the BEST The chocolate dip doesn't taste that great imo but I'd still give 5 stars

This was a perfect and fulfilling stop while passing through Bridgeport after a beautiful day of hiking! As a vegan I ordered two black bean patties on a bed of lettuce to make it gluten free :) I cannot emphasize this place enough! It is definitely worth a stop if you find yourself in the area and with a hungry belly to fill!

Jolly Kone is trying to fatten me up!! It was a warm day in Bridgeport, and folks were lining up at the J.K. I decided to follow their lead. I patiently waited in the queue, all the while watching the cones flowing from the take-out window. It was like they started dripping the moment they changed hands. I wanted some of that drip! My throat was parched. I needed some relief. I'm thinking a small chocolate cone should just about do the trick. It was my turn. The young lady inside seemed irriated, I was worried, maybe it'll be NO CONE FOR ME, I shuffled up to the window, my words carefully prepared and rehearsed, "I'll have a small chocolate, please." "Yes sir, that'll be, oh wait....we don't have anymore small". Uh oh, no small??? Uhhhh, well then, I guess that I'll have to suffer with a large. "OK, sir, two windows down to your left." Pheww! It was soup, I mean cone for me!! The cone hit the spot. Very refreshing. Quick Tip: I've now experienced a Jolly Cone in Missouri, and now a Jolly Kone in California. I did some research, not the same owners. But, the same result at both. The drips did a number on the hands.

I stopped in this little place for lunch while making my journey up Highway 395. I found the food to be very tasty, as well as a friendly and courteous staff working there. The place offers window service and has no indoor seating, just outdoors only. For this reason, I asked how they do business in the winter and was told they actually close up, so please keep that in mind if you happen to be there in off season. I ordered a turkey burger combo, which came with fries and a drink. I thought the turkey burger was excellent. This is a place I would highly recommend for a meal of that sort if you happen to be in Bridgeport.

I made a quick stop for lunch while motorcycle riding in the area viewing the changing fall colors mostly from the Aspen trees nearby(East coast please don't laugh its what we have to work with). I thought I'd try Jolly Cone and ordered the Chicken Sandwich. It was a little busy, but the order was up pretty fast. The sandwich was very good and a wonderful surprise. It was delicious and perfect. Combined with the cool town of Bridgeport and stunning views one could not ask for much more. Awesome place, good food for a roadside stopover.. Good job JK!

Great place to hang and have lunch. We had the bacon cheeseburgers with fries and pickle fries paired with a RC cola. Definitely recommend, especially after a long morning of fishing. We went back for ice cream later that day.

A perfect addition to a road trip! Food: I visited WND as a stop on my 395 journey as I have heard many things about their fish tacos and lobster taquitos at elevation, and out of a gas station no less! I had no clue what to expect given the location, but WND left me delightfully surprised. I ordered the famous fish tacos and their lobster taquitos for myself which came out to ~50$ with a drink. Immediately, I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions. Both dishes came topped with a fresh element like salad for the taquitos, mango salsa, and refried beans. These additions bump the visual appeal of both dishes, and substantially turn them into worthy meals which I was worried about (assumed they would be served on their own with no sides). With my two heavy plates, I set myself at the outdoor seating and dug in. Let me say I had no issue housing these two, without ever feeling heavy or greasy which was a concern I had given the fried elements. I started with the signature fish tacos; the mango salsa is a delightful and refreshing sweet/tangy accompaniment to the creamy sauce and refried beans. The fish is fried but not greasy at all, but I found the meat to be a bit dry/lacking in flavor. Overall, the strength of the taxi was in the salsa and taco toppings / sides, not the fish. Which I found to be somewhat disappointing. They were delicious, but I had just expected more from their main dish. The taquitos however took me by surprise! These were served with a refreshing salad and more of that mango salsa, on top of the refried beans. It was delicious mixed together. The taquitos had a respectable crisp to the shell without any fault of excess oil, and the filling was wonderfully seasoned and flavorful throughout. A good follow up to the mildly disappointing fish. Paired with a coke zero, this was still an amazing meal that felt hearty yet healthy, indulgent yet balanced. These plates give the impression of a carefully thought out dish, where the chefs considered the overall experience beyond just the headliner fish or taquito. Overall, fantastic. Service: Service at WND is homey and local. When you're far out from the cities, it's comfortable and easy to chat with the cashier about their experience working there, or their favorite dishes. Fast, friendly, and open to conversation, WNDs service is perfect for what it is. Ambiance: despite being in a gas station, WND and the Tioga mart are a very comfortable, safe, and restful spot. I came alone, but I spotted families with children playing in the outdoor area ahead of where I ate, friends meeting up to continue their journeys, and elderly couples tucking into their plates in the clean indoor seating area. There are small elements harkening to the history and fame of the deli in the form of news clippings on the walls near the bathrooms, and wooden tables and benches give the indoors a cozy vibe. Outdoor seating is more like your standard picnic bench, but when paired with the green grass area just ahead of it and the views of the lake/mountains, you can't beat that fresh air and connection to nature with your meal. Overall, I was very surprised with how good WND delivered in a way that I was not at all expecting for this remote gas station stop. I highly recommend making a point to stop in here on your travels to refuel, taste the delicious food, and slow down a moment in the road. 4/5 (docked for dry fish)

A roadside burger, fresh and hot fries, and a rich creamy milkshake are a necessary part of every trip through the area, and whenever we're between here and Mammoth, Walker Burger is THE STOP. For starters, the vibes are just perfect. The wait in line is where it starts, as the sun is typically beating down as you wait to order in the dirt parking lot, making the shade from the narrow porch and the friendly hello from the order taker your first reward for being here. Usually I'm hungry from a busy morning of breaking down camp, and a 1/4lb Walker Burger with American cheese, fresh veggies and secret sauce on a fluffy fresh seeded soft bun always hits. Summer time usually has me ordering a fresh seasonal fruit shake (peach) but honestly every shake is fantastic and I also LOVE the coffee shakes, which are made with real coffee and coffee beans for extra punch. Fries are always hot and fresh, and best of all they come out crispy without asking for it! Service is always friendly and fun too. What makes this spot special is the garden dining. Picnic tables are scattered throughout a well shaded area offering travelers a cool and relaxing area to enjoy their food. We've definitely done this a few times, but typically take it to go and enjoy it (and the glorious mess) on the way home. Walker Burger is a MUST! Have you been?
