The park was vibrant and full of visitors. I was impressed with the overall cleanliness of the park, as well as clear signage and displays for all the attractions. The highlight to me was the new visitor center. I believe the last time I tried the visitor center was 2019 and upgrades have been made. It's so modernized and attractive. Many clean bathrooms to use, lots of interactive displays, a cafe, and gift shop. You can tell a lot of money went into improving this place. I also liked that there were so many public restrooms available throughout the park and seating options including picnic tables and benches. We also saw lovely hanging baskets throughout the park. Everything looked so good and well maintained. A great park for a day trip. Make sure to check out the maid of the mist at least once!

It's hard to imagine that people once attempted to go over the Falls in a barrel, or so the stories say! The Maid of the Mist takes you right to the base of the Falls and it is AWESOME... and WET! Don't let those little ponchos fool you. You are going to get soaked, and the roar of the water is incredible. The Visitor Center inside the park isn't nearly as impressive as the Discovery Center Welcome Center, but it offers clean restrooms, a refreshment stand, and an information desk. There are also plenty of fantastic photo opportunities throughout the park and along the viewing areas. The nightly fireworks display is spectacular, though it does get crowded. For wheelchair users, there is a fabulous, spacious ramp that provides easy access down to the viewing level. My friend and I recently visited Buffalo State, ( When we attended, both fellow Alumni Class of 2005) it was Buffalo State College. Fast forward , now its Buffalo State University; after receiving an email back late January, there was a happy hour coming up at the school we both decided to check it out. Vibrant building, friendly staff, felt a little older, then most of the attendees at the event, but that was alright. The speakers were more geared toward recent college graduates, or soon to be college graduate. Overall, nice mingling event, and opportunity to check out the campus updates, taco bar, and drink selection as well. This center isn't new, and opened back in 2018. My suggestion is your alumni of Buffalo State, and haven't visit campus in quite awhile, you'll be astounded by their improvements and updates. As a commuter, used to hang out in the Fireside Lounge, in the union during Bengal pause, on the aweful green coaches, now theres a beautiful fire place, equipped with comfortable sitting areas.
